Why not? It is a chance! I am thinking of an atom. One specific atom. Not just on Earth, not just in the solar system, but somewhere in the observable universe. A single atom. Start guessing and I'll give you all the bitcoin I own once you pick the right one. Why not? There is a chance you pick correctly, after all! This is like you trying to find a previously used seed phrase by simply picking random words. It is a complete waste of time. The only thing you will gain is burnt out hardware and a high electricity cost. Here is an explanation I gave a few years ago: Let's say we have a trillion planet Earths. On each Earth, there are a trillion people. Each person has a trillion computers. Each computer generates a trillion keys a second. All these computers have been creating a trillion keys per second since the birth of the universe 13.7 billion years ago. 10^12 * 10^12 * 10^12 * 10^12 * 60 * 60 * 24 * 365 * 13.7 * 10^9 = 4.3*10^65. This means that they would have so far generated approximately 0.0000000004% of all private keys. Not random words! It's just 2048 english words and the dictionary is known! |

Безусловно! Но таким образом можно ведь и вспомнить сид-фразу от своего старого кошелька где было тысяч 10 биткоинов! Или даже все 100 тысяч! И потом вы опять совершаете эту математическую ошибку как многие тут на форуме... Вы имеете в виду, что нам нужно проверить ВСЕ(!) комбинации. Это не так. Чтобы смайнить блок, тоже не надо перебирать все возможные хэши. Более того, правильных хэшей для блока в триллионы раз больше чем правильных сид фраз для кошельков с балансами. Достаточно найти всего один хэш и битки ваши. Дерзайте. Нууууу........ Один блок и один кошелёк потенциально неравнозначные куши! |

If a small portion of 2048^12 or 5,444,517,870,735,015,415,413,993,718,908,291,383,296 looks easy enough for you. Why don't you just go straight create a 128-bit entropy to create the seed phrase instead of scrambling 2048 words? 2^128 is relatively smaller than 2048^12. You'll save a few billion years by going for that  So what? It is a chance! *You also making this mistake as many peopple in here - you mean that we need to check ALL of existing combinations to find a wallet for the first time. But we don't! |

You might be able to "prove" it in a court, but as we both know from our discussions regarding CSW, courts aren't exactly great arbiters of truth. And the words in your seed phrase should never be picked because they have meaning for you and should always be generated randomly, so that's a poor suggestion. So we can say that if I recall my seed-phrase that way - it is mine? No, because that method will never find a used seed phrase or address, even if you used all the computing power in the world and ran it until the Earth is engulfed by the dying sun. Why not? Your case and question don't portray sincerity and it's incomplete at the same time. Is the wallet custodial or noncustodial? Do you still have crypto assets in it?
Based on these, if you don't have crypto assets in it, why waste your time, go for another wallet for privacy and security reasons. But if you have crypto assets in it and it's custodial, contact your wallet company with your original details for a reclaim. However, if it's noncustodial, signing a known message with your private key will be the most viable way out.
Let us make it maximum easy. We both know seed-phrase. How can i prove that the wallet is mine??? Here is the maximum easy answer. If you both have the seed phrase then the wallet is both of yours. Explanation being that ownership of an address comes down to who knows the private key and I guess in legal situations who used the key… If you both have the private keys then you can both use them. I don’t think there’s been court cases yet where people dispute the ownership of an address and both have the keys. The only court cases I’m familiar with are the ones where someone is trying to claim ownership without having the keys. So we can say that if I recall my seed-phrase that way - it is mine? |

Случайное число по определению не может иметь "хозяина". Владение сид-фразой основывается на том факте, что число действительно рандомное и чтобы получить второе такое число, нужно быть либо очень удачливым, либо скопировать или украсть его. К чему это все? Доказывать нужно не факт владения, а факт самой генерации числа. Нужно предоставить факты, что в такое время и на такую-то дату вы знали это число и могли им манипулировать. К примеру, можно заранее подписать сообщение с одним из приватных ключей и вставить в подпись что-нибудь подтверждающее дату. Но здесь есть свои нюансы, так как подделать дату достаточно просто. Например, можно доказать, что подпись была создана не раньше какого-то события. А вот наоборот гораздо сложнее. Второй способ предполагает деанонимизацию и то, что на адресах, связанных с сид-фразой уже есть транзакции. Если вы предоставляли документы какому-нибудь сервису, а потом совершали транзакции на адреса сервиса, то там будет и время и данные транзактантов, доказать владение будет тривиальной задачей. По сути, этот способ тоже включает подписи сообщений, но за счет централизованных сервисов, которые вынуждены выдавать данные пользователей по решению суда, можно доказать , что конкретный человек владел конкретными адресами. Третий способ включает совокупность всяких идентифицирующих данных, не обязательно включающих подписи или конфиденциальную информацию. Можно приложить всякие скриншоты кошелька, файлы кошелька, логи кошелька и операционной системы и подобное. Любое, что может доказать активность сид-фразы на такую-то дату может пригодиться, может послужить косвенным или даже прямым доказательством владения. Не такое уж это число и случайное... Ведь фраза не может содержать слова типа sfghdkfjgh или xnertzerutz! Нам всего-то и нужно что 2048 12Чуть подробнее тут. |

There is no way for what? To find a funded wallet address by randomly shuffling a 12-word seed phrase? I would say no. If it were, don't you think someone would have figured it out by now? Bitcoin's value is based on the fact that it is secure and impossible to hack. If it were that easy to access someone's funds, Bitcoin wouldn't be worth much at all. You are not the first person to think of this. It is been a topic of discussion in the Bitcoin community for years, and all the experts agree that it is virtually impossible. What if noone have tryed? Or has, but stayed silent!  |

Если через биржу, то придется предоставить доступ к истории аккаунта. Если через обменник, то предоставить историю движения своих банковских средств. Если через майнинг пополнялся кошель, то тут посложнее. Надо у майнеров спросить, как бы они доказали владение кошельком. В общем всё зависит от конкретной ситуации. А.... "Правильно. Signing from your wallet with an address that belongs to you. Which wallet are you using?
If someone else is actually really using your wallet already, then you'd best ditch your wallet and sweep all your funds out.

You ask wrong question. If someone generate random seed-phrase and somehow generate one which contain Bitcoin, they should realize ethnically it doesn't belong to them. So there's no way for that... Except "realize ethically" |

The only way to restore a forgotten or lost seed phrase is if you backed it up. Any other way does not work due to the security of the network.
Avoid any service that tells you they can access a wallet address without the phrase or private keys.

- И какой-нибудь компьютер (даже без подключения к Интернету)Когда мы получим все это, мы сами или наш ловкий друг должны использовать какую-нибудь доработанную напильником программу вроде hashcat / john-the-ripper / etc, чтобы случайным образом поместить 2048 слов в 12 слотов (возможно, через адаптированный клиент Electrum), используя наши вычислительные мощности и записывая использованные комбинации, чтобы избежать повторений. И! Автоматически записываем в другом месте сид-фразы, баланс которых не = 0. Ведь мы помним, что наш кошелек не был пустым! Итак, все, что нам остаётся сделать, это просмотреть все варианты и попытаться вспомнить, какой из них был нашим! Кто-то может сказать, что нам нужно проверить миллиарды миллиардов комбинаций, чтобы проверить весь узел, и это займет какое-то сумасшедшее количество времени. НО! Я настаиваю на том, что наш кошелек - не последняя комбинация в этом ряду! Пусть начнется великая лотерея!!!  |

This recipe can acctually take a long time, but it is better than lose your wallet forever. So. We need very small amounts of tools, but we also need to be a hacker a lil bit, or we better have such a friend indeed, so he can help us with couple lines of code first. - We need some mining-farm, to posibly accelerate our process

- And some computer (even without connection to the internet)When we got it all, we ourself or our slicky-fingered friend shall adopt some program like hashcat/john-the-ripper/etc to put 2048 words into 12 slots randomly (maybe via adopted Electrum client) using our computing powers, also writing down used combinations to avoid iteration. And! Automatically writing down in another place a founded seed-phrases, which balance is not = 0. Because we remember that our wallet wasn't empty! So all we need to do is serfe throught founded variants and try to remember which one was ours! Somebody can say that we need to check billions of billions combinations to check whole node and it will take some crazy amount of time. BUT! I ansist that our wallet is not the last of combinations in the row! Let the great lottery begins!!! |

Here is a good parable. Given your example of 1 billion users at 10 addresses each:
There are 2^160 or about 1,460,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 possible addresses
In your scenario, 1,000,000,000 people are using 10 addresses each for a total of 10,000,000,000 possible addresses
10,000,000,000 / 2^160 should yield the probability of a collision occurring
10,000,000,000 / 2^160 = 0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000684
So the chances of a collision occurring in your scenario are approximately 0.000000000000000000000000000000000000684%
Possibility increases drastically when there is divine intervention. You are talking about case when we need to check ALL of existing variants. But we don't. |
