1  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Win 110% every time!!! on: July 29, 2014, 09:20:06 AM
I thought it was pretty clear that this is indeed a Ponzi scheme, but it seems like some people in this thread need it to be clear:

YES. THIS IS A PONZI SCHEME. Early adopters are rewarded (if the game continues), and some people will get burned.

This is why you should obviously not "invest" big amounts in the game. It's just plain stupid. I seriously couldn't believe my eyes when I saw 0.5 BTC and 0.1 BTC transactions coming in. I would never put in that huge amounts myself.  Tongue

You should treat the website as a fun thing to show your friends, and just enjoy the fact that this type of entertainment if actually possible within the Bitcoin community.  Smiley

I agree that the title of this thread is misleading though. I did not create this thread and would prefer if the author changed it. But obviously, there is absolutely no guarantee whatsoever that you will win 110% every time.

Some people have been lucky though! Peace out!
2  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: www.TheBitcoinPonzi.com a nicely implemented, automated game where everyone wins on: July 28, 2014, 07:56:32 AM
Hey folks! Sorry for the late reply, I should have seen the questions in this thread a lot earlier.

The reason the game has been standing still for a while is because there were 3 random "big" investments one after the other 19 days ago (0.3 BTC, 0.1 BTC and 0.1BTC). After that, the transactions have been a lot smaller, which is why they have been taken some time to get paid out.

The 0.3 transaction has finally received his 0.33 BTC payout though, so it should be a little smoother from here once the two 0.1 BTCs are cleared as well!

We will soon implement a feature so that if someone send a high amount to early on in the game, we send back the money instead of having it delay future transactions.

Enjoy the game!

This screams scam?

7 Days since last payout?  They have more than enough money in the bank to pay back the investor....Only 1 payout in 7 days....waiting for more....?

Don't do this!

I love the implementation. You should branch out and do the same with other cryptocurrencies. Such as litecoin and dogecoin.

You should also program an investment maximum while the site is gaining popularity as to not screw up the BTCBTCBTC wheel.

For example, if they send 1btc while the site is still new, send them back .99 with an attached message saying they sent too much, a penalty fee has been charged and credited to the investors.  Grin

Thanks for the feedback! Dogecoin is in the pipeline. Smiley Also, good idea about the maximum investment feature, will look into it soon!

In other news, the second largest investor just got paid back 0.33 BTC, wohoo! http://www.thebitcoinponzi.com/transactions

Let's keep the game going! Choo choo!

Here's a new little fun game for you fellow bitcoiners! It's obviously not a new concept, but a lot of work has gone into repackaging it to make it as fun and engaging as possible!

http://www.thebitcoinponzi.com/

The site automatically pays out 110% to whoever is first in line, as long as new transactions keep coming in and there are enough funds.

The coolest thing about the site is the Transactions page, where you can follow the status of your deposit and other players in real time! http://www.thebitcoinponzi.com/transactions

Minimum deposit is 0.0003 BTC. Also, remember to send a mining fee so that your transaction gets picked up.

Let's try to keep the transactions small to keep the game going!  Wink
