1  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGMINER GPU FPGA overc monit fanspd RPC stratum linux/windws/osx/mip/r-pi 2.11.3 on: March 24, 2013, 12:33:12 PM
so im trying to mine with 2 cards (7950/ 5770) and every time i try to load cgminer it crashes. using one card works fine but not two. how would i go about fixing this.

Don't use 5 & 7 series cards together, they don't play nice with each other.....
ok another question would a 6950 work with the 7950 and would the two be able to get enough power from my 750 watt psu?

Why is your intensity a 6?  Try an 8.  multiple threads hides the latency in such a tiny batch size  (intensity sets how many nonces are check in one "batch").

Also 90C?  Wow.  Not good for GPU longevity.

thanks a lot that fixed my issue

all these problems that you are having with the RC. why dont you just use 5.2 or whatever it is. Are they really that different

I was thinking it would be cool if p2pool.info listed how much has been donated as subsidies.  Maybe that could be added into the luck calculation, too.

That is a good idea.  Maybe a separate item.

Just thinking about how I would detect these...  I could look for sendmany transactions that have known addresses in them.  Maybe the donation address is enough?

To incorporate these into the luck numbers is a little more tricky.  Right now luck is not measuring amount of BTC earned (vs expected), but is measuring things based on hashes.  I'd have to change it to be based on BTC or I'd have to translate subsidies into "hash equivalents".  I'll think about it more after I look at finding a way to identify subsidy payments in the first place.

Yes please separate it because I have been mining since 30th of January with 252Mhz and still have not received any donation. I might just be really unlucky, but in my mind I've written off the donation aspect in my reasoning to move to/stay at p2pool. So I'd like the data in isolation Smiley

that stinks bud. i started at the beginning of march and received a donation the first day

damn the day of blocks we got going on. Shocked

one thing i dont get is that i have been mining here for a few days now. I have been getting alot of shares in the cgminer window but in the p2pool window i have hardly received any shares

p2pool uses 2 types of shares: the ones you are seeing in CGminer are only used for estimating hashrate, and are a much lower difficulty than actual p2pool share. The high difficulty shares are what are added to the chain, and determine payment.
so the only type of miner that should mine at p2pool are people with alot of hash power. is it even worth it to mine 800mh/s here

thanks for the help. just wondering why in guiminer i was getting 830mh/s but in cgminer i only get 750mh/s

how do you set flags in cgminner? im used to using gui miner and switched from bitclockers to here
15  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Rainmeter Bitcoin Mining Pool and Exchange Tracker (PXT) on: February 27, 2012, 03:34:55 AM
I can not get this skin to pull information using the newest rainmeter for x64.  None of them work for exchanges or pools.  No information is displayed, it is all zero'ed out or blank.
yep it been like that for a bit now and dont expect an update this dude has been gone for a grip
