My S9 best W/TH is at 800w.
are you burning 80 watts a th? or 800 watts a miner. @op I get that free power and not laying money seems good. but running 52th vs 126th and burning 4000 free watts vs 4200 free watts is 74 x 8 cents or just about six dollars a day more running s17pros on low that means 1080 usd extran in six months of s17 pro and 2160 usd extra in one year of s17 pro on low. are you usa based or asia based. you can get s17 pros for cheap. i would upgrade S9 800W on miner 75W/TH I have S17pro, best performance at 1500W on miner, 38W/TH S9 have very high W/TH even for free electric, I suggest S17 or newer miner. I will be brutally honest as i have no shame, I have been crypto obessesed since 2021 and i have started from literally being homeless, I began GPU mining, Built them, Sold them. Switched to ASICS, Bought 4 S9s, and a T3+ Innosilicon all used for dirt cheap, Carried out all the repairs etc myself so i have been learning with first machines but i have learned alot. Now i have relocated and finally in my own house with free electric abroad, and multiple properties courtesy of my landlord and our new partnership. So yeah - My next purchases was maybe going to be the Ipollos i think? 80TH for 550 EUROS?

Just relocated and im looking to make all my old S9s more efficient by doubling them up as i have 4.
I understand the control board process , resistors etc but i dont understand how i power the extra 3 hash boards?
Do i just simply add more plugs to the PSU?

waste of time. the psu can do 1600 watts no more. you cant run six boards at full speed the psu will burn out. is your power free? the best you can do with an s9 is 13 th at 1000 watts. ballpark numbe using braiins. you have four of them this means at best 52th at 4000 watts. if you pick up an s17pro it can do 42th at 1400 watts. If you are usa based i have s17pros run three at low speed you burn 4200 watts and get 126th in either case free power helps and you can run them. but the s9 improvement you want to do is wasting your time. Hey yes i do have free electric, Thats the only reason why im still willing to use these meanwhile. Understood ill do that then its just that one needed a new control board and i do have a 1800w bitmain PSU?

Thanks for that, ill be sure to avoid using that UV stuff because I'm trying to keep costs to a minimum. I don't have a smartphone or access to a camera, but I made a brief diagram as to what's going on with my board. I understand the photo in question isn't an S9 but it was the best image I could find to demonstrate my problems with - https://yourimageshare.com/ib/reQSt7Dd4kJust for more clarity, the red squares are exposed copper with solder on, I can't remove the solder even with a soldering wick or pump. In the purple square the circular copper hole you insert the power plugs too, one ring is missing. I think I can see from the products you share, that the pads consist of 3 of these holes and must be laid underneath the green stuff. I thought they were singular pin holes! so your already helping

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone had some advice on what to use to re-seal a small section of my dashboard. I believe this is a commonplace it has worn when "attempting" to remove power sockets. I have accidentally exposed copper that lays between the pads of the PCIE connectors. This is sure to shorten upon plugging it in as the pads are now touching. Could anyone please point me in the right direct for the green material that's put on PCBs? I'm hoping someone carried out some form of repair similar to what am trying to do. I'm very insure if just any resin or PCB paint with prevent the shorting/bridging. Thanks, guys

As for the S9 in question i just removed the old solder (it appeared to be oxidised) and applied fresh solder and its hashing perfectly. To the member who asked if my hashboards are being recognized, this miner is now fine however i do have on a1 lovecore Chinese copy that i have replaced connectors and its allegedly not detecting hashboads? could you help? link - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5449975.msg62159620#msg62159620Strange because it shown no signs of burning etc! I resoldered the elbow joints on the original connectors, it immediately shot up to 16TH.
Is it possible oxidisation of the metal causes the connectors to not transmit current correctly to power the miner?

According to your logs the control board seems can't detect all hashboards properly. Have you ever tried to change the pool instead of using miningrigrentals? You can try https://solo.ckpool.org/ or ViaBTC pool just to test and maybe the issue is due to the pool you are using. So i remove connectors on one dashboard and took 2 hours on re fitting and removing all the flux.
