Basically whatever hub you use, it has to be powered: 5V 1W must be available for each miner.

If you want to take part in the fun, buy a share of a mining contract. But don't expect to break even with that either.

I think this is just more for the novelty of having a Bitcoin watch. Like having a t-shirt or something. Making something for a smartwatch would be a totally different project I think.

Well there are already smart watches sold for $50 so if you want to make something worth less than that you will have small margins.

Even if you find a reliable way to get free power, You won't be able to scale it very far.

You can have a live price ticker as an addon for any Smartwatch.
