Bitcoin relies only on the Blockchain network which gives it the ability to operate 24/ hrs a day and 7 days a week.
      unlike other medium of exchange like the fiat money, which depends on the banks and government to operate continuously, the Blockchain helps record all transactions made on the Bitcoin network.

Bitcoin is the most widely used and accepted cryptocurrency in the market today. It has so huge influence on the crypto market that if bitcoin goes doen, it takes the entire market with it. 

Every project is focusing on an issue and tends to say that they're the answer to it. But bitcoin has solved what most of these projects are aiming for and that's both, a payment method and an asset. There will be arguments that'd say that if there's another project that has come earlier than bitcoin then it won't be bitcoin on its seat now. But to be honest, there have been the same project concepts that have been introduced before but they've failed or just got little attention unlike what bitcoin has reached. Honestly, bitcoin is more than enough already, there could be scaling issues and network adjustments needed to be made but looking at it, it's much better than before.
