1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: exiting coinbase on: October 01, 2025, 04:28:46 AM
i'm in the uk ..... ive got  some money in btc on coinbase.

because of its high trading charges i want to move to another platform, maybe to kraken uk.

i still want to keep the btc.

what is the cheapest way of doing this in order to minimise transaction charges?
Your better option is stop using Coinbase and use open-source non-custodial wallets for storing your bitcoins and self-broadcasting your Bitcoin transactions with control on both UTXOs, change address and fee rate.

When you use non custodial wallets with full controls, you can avoid very expensive withdrawal fees charged by custodial wallets and centralized exchanges like Coinbase.

Alternatively, use Electrum wallet.

2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC next phase is settle in terms of infrastructure on: October 01, 2025, 04:15:36 AM
What will be the fate of BTC in the next 10 years? Will it be the main source of exchange of value or will it continue to be an alternative virtual money?
You are a newbie in Bitcoin market and the first thing you must know is "virtual money", "virtual currency" are terms that were used by governments and their media in order to paint a distorted picture, description and distortion about Bitcoin. They did it intentionally in order to prevent citizens to feel good about Bitcoin, and proactively make barriers to keep their citizens fearful and stay far away from Bitcoin.

To start in this market rightly, don't misleading the others especially other newbies by using such misleading terms. If you use those terms, you are support governments and contribute to harm Bitcoin adoption.

The news making the rounds is that, Amorim was called for a meeting by the bosses of Manchester United and surprisingly, he was asked to change his formation of 3 - 4 - 3 back to the usual known formation of Manchester United which is the 4 - 3 - 3 system of formation that the club is known for. I think he doesn't like this fact maybe it's because his used to his own system or maybe he doesn't know any other formation other than this his own. Certain clubs are known for a certain way and style of play, that I understand as a fan, maybe they want him to back to system the team is known for. But the big question is, will this improve the team?
Ruben Amorim can blame bad performances on players and request to have more players but it does not hide fact that a good coach must be good at using players he has in a club. There is no club with a perfect player resource and squad so legendary coaches must maximize performances and combinations of players they have with time and so far Ruben Amorim did not show this capability at Manchester United.

If Amorim can implement it well, it will clearly be a significant improvement. However, if Amorim can't get used to having his team use the club's recommended formation, it could backfire and worsen Manchester United's performance. As a professional coach, he must be able to adapt and understand various formations and how to implement them optimally. Moreover, we know this team doesn't lack quality players. They simply lack the motivation to perform at their best.
Amorim so far has yet laid clear tactical marks in Manchester United and it is quite similar with Erik Ten Hag with some seasons there before he was sacked and replaced by Ruben Amorim. Ruben Amorim is a younger coach than Ten Hag, has had less experience and success in coach career than Erik Ten Hag so this job position and a mission of building up success for Manchester United are more challenging and stressful with Ruben Amorim.

The club performances so far did not show considerable improvements compares to what they did in a second half of last season when Ruben Amorim took over the coach position from Ten Hag. It's main problem for Amorim as the club's board members actually need to see clear improvements in order to keep up their belief in and support for Ruben Amorim.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2025/26 Season on: September 30, 2025, 04:17:03 PM
Chelsea Vs Benfica

What are your opinions and predictions about this game tonight. Following Chelsea's recent performance will Mourinho find a way to take a point(s) back to Portugal tonight at the Bridge?
It's a first season for Jose Mourinho in Champions League after many years and it's interesting to see his first match for Benfica in Champions League is against Chelsea and at Stamford Bridge stadium where he managed this club two times and won many titles with them. Chelsea have better player resource than Benfica but their performances recently are not good and Benfica can make a surprise in Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea need to win this game to bring back some motivation into the team because of they're to lose this game then things might begin to get worsr for them. Unfortunately this match is going to be very hard for them to win because they don't have Cole Palmer that's their best player for many seasons now. Jose Mourinho will want to go home with a point atleast if he can't get all three points from this game therefore we're set to witness an entertaining and interesting game. I just wish Chelsea are able to win somehow because we need to see them advanced in the champions league as I see potential in this squad.
Jose Mourinho is very experienced and his management philosophy matches very well with Cup tournaments like Champions League. He knows that Chelsea are in troubles and need a win so he will let Benfica playing defensive and waiting for counter attacks to beat Chelsea down at Stamford Bridge. Benfica have enough players who can play counter attacks well and they are ready to have a surprising win, even it is not convincing at Stamford Bridge stadium. With Jose Mourinho, results are most important things for his club.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2025/2026 on: September 30, 2025, 09:00:26 AM
I hope that the Premier League competition will be much more competitive, but honestly, I think maintaining consistent performance until the end of the season is very difficult, and indeed, Crystal Palace has risen quite a bit in the last two seasons. This season could be the peak of their rise, but it is still a small percentage. I don't mean to underestimate Crystal Palace, but I think realistically.
There are some surprising underperforming big clubs but I believe most of them will return to top positions soon. In the meantime, there are some interesting underdogs with a most impressive one is Crystal Palace. They are parts of beauty and exciting football, and watching how far Crystal Palace can go as well as achieve in this season is very interesting. It is very unpredictable with what an underdog like Crystal Palace can achieve, even they don't know about their maximum capability too.

The title in this season will be race among Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea while I believe that Tottenham Hotspur soon will fall down even out of top four. They don't have good consistency and stability to maintain a top position in Premier League and a title in UEFA Europa League last season can not change this.

This data appears to any extent that Chainalysis gets data from the central exchanges and services that process user data (KYC)
privacy has become very difficult.
It is like user data uploaded to centralized exchanges then was forwarded to third party companies for KYC verifications, eventually was sold to Chainalysis. It can be a kind of partnership between CEX and Chainalysis but by whatever scheme, it is not accepted as it does not obey GPDR.

As users, we can not know whether our personal documents were leaked, hacked, sold and used by many other companies from original platforms where we did KYC. It's dangerous and again, it's worth to share why KYC and CEX are dangerous.

Why KYC is extremely dangerous – and useless

7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Internet search about Bitcoin can be misleading for beginners at times on: September 29, 2025, 08:04:59 AM
Many online articles claim that Bitcoin is digital gold because of its similar properties. This is a misconception, as Bitcoin is Bitcoin, and digital gold is digital gold - the two are vastly different.
Gold is gold and digital gold or blockchainzed or tokenized gold is not gold. It is similar to bitcoin and Wrapped Bitcoin token which are different. Wrapped Bitcoin tokens are never bitcoins.

If you want gold, buy gold physically.
If you want bitcoin, buy bitcoins and ignore all wrapped tokens, Bitcoin Spot ETG shares.

While Bitcoin can function as a store of value like gold, they are still distinct. Bitcoin is decentralized, allowing people to transact anywhere in the world without intermediaries and securely. Its supply is also limited, and individuals can hold it in their own non-custodial wallet without the possibility of third parties interfering. These characteristics clearly distinguish Bitcoin from digital gold, which is a digital representation of physical gold typically managed by a third party.

8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2025/26 on: September 29, 2025, 07:54:10 AM
Unfortunately this is too early in the league, because we have just started and have a thin difference in expectation but there is still a very long journey for this season, and even though they are able to compensate for Real Madrid but there are always Barcelona who are other strong obstacles for Atletico Madrid to get the top position at the end of the season.

Currently only 12 points are collected and are in 4th position after Villareal and Elche with a difference of 1-4 points from the team, Atletico Madrid must work more hard if you want to be like your expectations.
Before this match, Atletico Madrid got too many draws and fell far behind Real Madrid and Barcelona so this win helps them reducing point difference with Real Madrid, maintaining point difference with Barcelona and rescuing their chance in a title competition with Real Madrid and Barcelona.

It is clearly that only this win is not enough but Atletico Madrid finished a hard natch very well and it can be a foundation for their stronger comeback in coming matches and gradually return to a title race in upcoming weeks. Real Madrid and Barcelona are not perfect and can lose points which will give good opportunity to Atletico Madrid.

Upcoming times like this crypto is only true safe heaven.
Forget about gold when rockets will attack your house you aint gona have time to take your gold stacks when you not federal reserve or some big instution or bank or goverment then large gold is not your thing !
In rocket, missile attacks to your house, I really can not believe that Bitcoin wallets can help you too much even they are portable wallets. It is more easily and conveniently to bring your Bitcoin wallets around but it does not mean you will be aware of rocket or missile attacks to your house for any excavation at all.

Like a tsunami in Japan, Beirut explosion in Syria, illegal immigrants deportations in the US, you less likely have enough time for doing anything and even can not save your life so Bitcoin wallets are not your main concern.

In such catastrophes, it is best to prioritize your life than anything else but it is always important to know how and practice your wallet backup well.

10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: September 27, 2025, 02:34:08 AM
I commented yesterday that Al Nassr would come out of this game with a victory, they hired a good coach and that is very clear this season, they managed to win today without conceding a goal and scored 2 goals, with this very important victory they remain at the top of the table with 12 points, they have a 3 point advantage over second and third place, if they can maintain this consistency. So they can finally become champions this season.

Al-Nassr started this season very well with 4 wins in 4 matches and not only this, they also got support from their competitors: Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal so that now they have 3 points more than Al-Ittihad and 4 points more than Al-Hilal. The season is very long and Al-Nassr must work hard in remaining matches for winning Saudi Professional League title but at least their beginning in this season is far better than what they did in two latest seasons when they had to chase Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad after first matches in the league.

Yesterday, I also guessed that Al Nassr will win this match because they have more quality players. It is not only about the quality coach, they also have quality squad. Scoring 2 goals without conceded any goal is clear sign that Al Nassr proves the strongest team in SPL this season. If we take a look at the stats of the match, Al Nassr really dominated the match in any aspect. Sure, Al Nassr possibly wins the SPL trophy this season if they can maintain this good performance until the end of the season.
It's a good win with value like 6 points for Al-Nassr but Joao Felix must sharpen his finishing skills. He wasted three good opportunities in this match and in other matches, opponents can make a come back then Joao Felix will have big responsibiity if Al-Nassr lose 3 or 2 points after leading well like this. His performances have become better since his transfer to Al-Nassr but he must focus more and finishing better.

12  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you see Bitcoin overshadowing the relevance of dollar in the future? on: September 26, 2025, 01:33:47 AM
Exactly. And at the time of this writing, only a small percentage of the world's population has either heard about or used Bitcoin before. We're still in the early days. Even if popularity has increased lately. Besides, how can a decentralized crypto such as Bitcoin compete against a centralized currency? They're completely different things.
Bitcoin does not compete against fiat currencies and it simply shows off its strength so that people can see Bitcoin as a good blockchain and alternative choice for fiat currencies. They can choose Bitcoin or fiat currencies, it's freedom and Bitcoin does not need to beat fiat currencies globally at all. In life and in societies, there are two sides and with Bitcoin, there are Bitcoin maximalist while there are Bitcoin protesters and some others in between these sides. I see it's enough for Bitcoin adoption and Bitcoin does not have an unnecessary mission of beating and replacing fiat currencies.

Quote
Considering that governments are still relevant, we shouldn't expect Fiat to disappear anytime soon. The USD itself is beginning to decline. But it will eventually be replaced by another Fiat currency. Not Bitcoin, nor any other decentralized cryptocurrency. The farthest Bitcoin can go is to replace or overcome Gold's market cap. But to each, their own.
Fiat currencies have similar problems with inflation, some with hyper inflation, and declines of purchasing power over time. Let's take the US. dollar as an example but as said, other fiat currencies have similar issues.

13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2025/2026 on: September 26, 2025, 01:28:13 AM
Harry Kane is set to return to the EPL and we all know how much he has given to Spurs before leaving the side, on his return, will Spurs be his next destination or would he choose Manchester United since they are hoping on getting him?
Which club is in his mind for this potential return to Premier League?

It is logical if the destination is only Tottenham Hotspur, not any other big clubs in Premier League but who knows, people can change quickly. Harry Kane left Tottenham Hotspur in order to find titles and with Bayern Munich, he got first titles in his career for clubs from Tottenham Hotspur to Bayern Munich. If he decides to return to Tottenham Hotspur, I am not surprised but if he chooses another big club in Premier League, it's kind of shock with me. As rather than to join another big club in Premier League, it would be a better decision to stay with Bayern Munich.

What could make Harry Kane to return to a league where he gave his all without achieving any trophy I don't think he will gladly leave Bayern Munich where he is sure of winning trophies to make a fast return back to the English Premier League it's not going to be very possible unless he wants to retire from football so he decides to come bask to Tottenham to retire as their legend else i won't believe he will be happy to play for either Manchester United or Manchester City because he is comfortable in Germany. United would try to sign him but before leaving Bayern Munich Kane will be old and he may not be very strong to score goals like he use to score.
He can return to Premier League if he wants, he has freedom to make his decision but with many years with Tottenham Hotspur, with his loyalty for the club, I feel it's quite surprising if he plays for another club against Tottenham Hotspur in Premier League. All is rumors now, and we can not say too much before a transfer of Harry Kane from Bayern Munich to a club in Premier League in winter transfer (I believe Bayern Munich won't let him going away in the winter) or in the summer transfer season next year.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2025/26 on: September 26, 2025, 01:18:25 AM
An epic comeback from Barcelona, who successfully restored the lead with a 1-3 victory after being defeated by Oviedo in the first half. However, in the second half, everything changed. Barcelona played more aggressively, even taking 22 shots, with 10 on target.

Garcia's first goal opened the door for further goals. Once again, Lewy, who was on the bench, managed to score. Slowly but surely, this player. Lewy only came on in the 65th minute, and he scored five minutes later—what an awesome man.
Barcelona got a big trouble in this match but they managed to make a strong comeback with appearance and one goal from Lewandowski. The old striker still shown off his value and important contribution for Barcelona and Marcus Rashford still needs to learn many things from Lewandowski who is one of best strikers in the last 20 years.

Real Oviedo did not create many opportunities against Barcelona but from a mistake of Joan Garcia, they scored a leading goal, opening the match and tried a lot to get a least one point from Barcelona. Without Lewandowski and his goal, I am unsure that Barcelona would have been able to beat Oviedo in this match.

True. Even though Barcelona had to go one goal behind into the breaks, I had no doubt they'd score and win in the second half. The keeper for Oviedo, Escandel was already too busy saving goals and had an impressive performance.
The first goal was a stupid mistake by John Garcia coming forward and giving a bad long pass, Oviedo's Reina got it and shot a long goal above John Garcia. Otherwise it was always Barcelona in attack. All goals from Barcelona were impressive and they did quite well even without Yamal.
It's a difficult match for Barcelona but finally they won it and got three points for reducing point difference with Real Madrid to only 2 points. It makes La Liga title competition between two strongest clubs, Real Madrid and Barcelona, more exciting after this week. Two points are too small point difference between them and only one draw or one defeat from Real Madrid can help Barcelona taking over a first position in La Liga.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2025/26 on: September 25, 2025, 03:21:14 AM
Atletico Madrid didn't start this season well. They were losing against Rayo, but they managed to turn the game around. Julian Alvarez shone like a real star. They have Real Madrid derby coming up in three days, they boosted their morale before that game. I don't think they have much chance of challenging for the top two this season but they won't want to give up too early either.
Diego Simeone has been managing this team for years, perhaps it's truly time for a change. This topic has been seriously discussed in recent months. This could really be his last season.
Julian Alvarez was underrated in many years from Manchester City to Argentina teams and I felt very impressive with Julian with his performances in World Cup 2022 for his national team. Before that tournament, Lautaro Martinez was a better striker and more experienced than Julian as he was a key striker in Inter Milan for several seasons while Julian was only a young striker and a substitution in Manchester City. That big tournamnet changed Julian's value and career a lot and even he was given more opportutities, appearances one season after World Cup 2022, he did not satisfy with it and decided to join Atletico Madrid. It's a good decision from Julian as in Atletico Madrid, he has become a star player there and carried more responsibilities as a key player.

Last season they played great and were at the top of La Liga for a while but due to poor performances they could not maintain their top position. This season they have started very badly and have not been able to win matches against weaker opponents. I predicted their defeat in the match with Rayo. Most of the chances are against Atlético Madrid.
They did not begin this season well but match by match, they have recovered from a bad start and now they have only two points less than a fourth position. With Simeone, Atletico Madrid have a very good coach who has managed the club through hardest seasons since his appointment as a head coach there many years ago since December 2011.

Over 14 years, Simeone has marked his impacts on the club and with him, Atletico Madrid can manage to have a very solid position in top four of La Liga while in some seasons they even did better by winning two La Liga titles.

I have seen many investors who have been planning to invest in Bitcoin for a long time but have not been able to invest in Bitcoin until now because they have not yet found the right time to invest, so what do you say to all these planners about investing in Bitcoin?
Those people in my opinion did not plan for investment in Bitcoin as if they want to invest in Bitcoin, they would have spent money for investment at any time especially when the market is hot and FOMO is around the market. I believe they just did not believe enough in Bitcoin future and they only fluctuated with invest or not, in other words they hesitated to start their investment and as mentioning it is mainly because of their lack of belief - that possibly comes from lack of enough research and knowledge about Bitcoin and its market.

If they simply look at this chart, they will no longer hesitate for investment debut.

17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The CBDCs is still a government tool, unlike Bitcoin on: September 25, 2025, 03:06:15 AM
On paper, both the CBDCs and Bitcoin are both digital currencies. But one is a government tool, while the other is  a lifeline from exploitation.

The CBDCs can be programmed, so the same way regulations are on fiat currencies, they would also have rest and controls

Unlike the Bitcoin where there is no such control or exploitation.

The CBDCs still keeps most of the power in the hands of the government l, while for once the citizens have free entry and control with Bitcoin
You don't need to write this and say it because the name CBDC says all what it is.
CBDC = Central Bank Digital Currency.

You can not expect anything decentralized from CBDCs and it's another form of fiat currency and bank.
If you want decentralized, choose Bitcoin blockchain as most of altcoin blockchains are centralized too.
If you want full control of your money, choose Bitcoin blockchain as it is strongly secure and private key can not be bruteforced.
If you want your transactions are not reverted, choose Bitcoin blockchain that is irreversible while altcoin blockchains can be rolled back like Ethereum after The DAO hack.

This is another wake-up call for everyone reading this who is into Bitcoin but has yet to adopt the principle of not trusting third parties, which is one of the major purposes Satoshi created Bitcoin. Because you can't treat Bitcoin like a JPEG and never pay dearly sooner or later.

I could remember years ago when CoinBase introduced a tough KYC procedure, and all the users of the exchange who cant comply with or execute the harsh KYC cant access their funds.
It's is not necesarily to wait for this news to know about risk of online, centralized platforms which are never safe places for storing your money in either fiat currencies or cryptocurrencies.

In many years, many warnings about that especially after each hack, bankruptcy of a big centralized exchange but most people ignored it, forgot about this risk after a while and return to CEX.
Events made you scare about custodial wallets, centralized exchanges.

20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2025/26 on: September 24, 2025, 03:32:25 AM
As the home team, Levante was unfortunately only able to give their fans one goal through Eyong. Of course, as the home team, Levante was disappointed not to win the match, but what can you do when facing such a strong opponent, Xabi Alonso certainly devised a good strategy that ultimately led to Real Madrid's victory in this match.
Levante are simply too weaker than Real Madrid while Real Madrid players performed well in this match. Hence, there was no chance for Levante to make big surprise in this match against Real Madrid and their big defeat hours ago is explainable. Real Madrid got 6 wins in 6 first matches and have been on top of La Liga with perfect results so far but behind them, Barcelona are patiently maintaining point difference with Real Madrid and waiting for chances to take over a first position.

Yes that is right that Real Madrid attack was amazing. With goals from Vinicius and Mbappe and Mastantuono they showed they have many players who can score. They could have scored even more which proves how dominant they were.
Levante only goal from Eyong was small win for them but they could not compete with Real Madrid high level of play. Xabi Alonso clearly has his team playing their best and this win puts them at top of league. Now main challenge will be to keep this winning streak going against tougher teams.
Real Madrid have strong attacks but last season with appearance of Mbappe, their system was imbalanced from attacks to defense. Mbappe appearance in Real Madrid caused internal conflicts with Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo from favorite positions to how attacking players in Real Madrid combine with each other. Carlo Ancelotti failed to solve this big conflict issue and Real Madrid completely failed in all competitions last season.

With Xabi Alonso, it's still early for any conclusion but some early matches with this young coach, it seems Real Madrid attacking players have found better bonds with each other and Mbappe also changed his attitude after witnessing how Ousmane Dembele changed and won Champions League title, then Ballon d'Or. It potentially can be very helpful for Xabi Alonso and Real Madrid by having more proactive defense contributions from Mbappe.
