so we have still no news about the algos switch ?

why they keep so silent? are they gonna add 1 algo POS or not ?

it s gonna be 6 month and no news about that

Forget about that. The DGB devs and their friends have no intention of sharing the money they've been making with their ASICs, which they certainly got before most average DGB users.
This is complete and utter FUD. Please go cause problems elsewhere. A hard fork to a new algo takes a tremendous amount of work at this point. And as mentioned previously, the Algos we had planned on switching to in January of 2018 now have confirmed ASICs as well. So, in summary, switching from one ASIC algo to another is not wise or secure. However, research is being done into some very innovative ways to get around this problem. We very much watch DigiByte to stay as decentralized as possible.

Finally you came out of the woodwork.

Custom equihash algos don't have Asics at the moment, take a close look on those, as a developer you should've known about that. The amount of silence on the dev team along with the broken promise of changing algos only shows incompetence really.

Solo mining is very much still possible with DGB, the way its setup has changed.

Thatīs very exiting to here.
Could you please Update the FAQ on Digibyte.io, Github and so on, there is still a World outside of telegram.

Very nice site and informations ! Thanks for sharing.
Others stats as complements:
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dgb/#!extraction  - Pretty nice decentralized miners network Cool
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dgb/#!network - Still too many old wallet versions  Angry

Ver. 6.14.2 was the last Version you could use for Solo Mining.
If the Devs didnīt "repair" the function in the actual Development these Guys will never update there Wallets.

Helloi,

on my newly installed (Windows)Server, the also fresh installed Digibyte Wallet 6.16.2 ignores the "Algo=sha256d" setting in the Digibyte.conf and shows me instead  "pow_algo_id": 1,  "pow_algo": "scrypt" on GetMiningInfo.
Is this normal behavior and how could i change the Algo back to sha256d again ?
Thamks for any hint ! (And no, installing Linux is not a useable alternative...)
4  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Is poloniex scamming customers on: July 06, 2017, 06:54:38 AM
Is Poloniex a scam ?
If you think that taking peoples money without doing the job and without responding to Tickets and a status verfication within 2 Month (!) -  than Yes, Poloniex is indeed a big, bad scam company stealing peoples money.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Poloniex = Scam exchange beware. on: June 25, 2017, 07:19:44 PM
US Customers could also file a complaint at the Federal Trade Commission

Whatīs wrong with Poloniex ?
Now they disabled all withdrawals for Ethereum.
Itīs time to transfer all your coins to your own Wallets or to other Exchanges before they close there whole business.
I bet a real big, bad Rip-Off is ongoing.

It could also be a good idea to report Poloniex to the Federal Trade Commission

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BEWARE of POLONIEX BTC WITHDRAWS on: June 20, 2017, 08:45:35 AM
Poloniex are holding my coins for 2 weeks with "Awaiting approval" status. They are decided to disable troll box (censored actually) which was full with the same cases and support is not answering to open tickets at all. This is not only affecting BTC withdrawals, but also other coins, like ZEC in my case.

Are they going to die like Mt Gox or Cryptsy? In this scenario we will get a huge crypto market crash. Poloniex is trying to keep quiet about their problems. Looks like they are hacked and lost customer's coins.

My, 3 weeks. Im still waiting Awaiting Approval. Transaction didn't start. I think they turned to SCAM

Did you send them a support ticket? As far as I know they are roughly 4 weeks behind on manual approvals and ticket responses.

They didnīt respond to tickets any more, even to tickets older than a month.
IMHO Poloniex went SCAM. Beware !
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Poloniex = Scam exchange beware. on: June 20, 2017, 08:24:35 AM
Poloniex is indeed Scam, no Support, no response to Tickets, nothing.
They go in complete hiding if there is any problem.

Hi all,

I'm trying to find as many fulltime DGB nodes as possible, but the lists I HAVE found seem to be outdated, and the DGB live nodes map never seems to be working :/

Can anyone help out?

How about sharing lists with all Nodes that are connected long term to our wallets ?

If I want to support this coin by running the full node, which port should I then forward to the host with the full node?

You should forward port 12024

Can i extract the private key of dgb wallet like bitcoin core and import in a new version of dgb wallet?

Open your Wallet -> help -> debugwindow -> console.
Type: walletpassphrase "Your passphrase" timeout in seconds <enter>  dumpprivkey "Walletaddress" <enter>
Voila.
And back with "importprivkey"

Hi, For you is better online wallet exchange litebit.eu or dgb offline wallet?

The Onlinewallet is only nice if you trust Litebit and there Service.
But you should keep in Mind that there Website is often overloaded and hard to reach.

Thanks. The file wallet.dat with all my digibyte is always compatible with future versions of dgb wallet? Can i copy the file wallet.dat in a future version of dgb wallet or there is a risk?
It should be compatible to future Versions.
But predictions are hard, especially about the future  Wink

Think it will go below 600 sat before next week. Be aware!!

Yeah, below 100 sat ... dream on...

Never will be 600 sat again!!

Oh I dont know about that, it's falling hard, and it isnt that long ago it was below 600 sat.

600 seems rather arbitrary. Personally I feel it won't go much lower than it currently is because there seem to be a number of ppl waiting for the rebound. As soon as there is reasonable upward movement we'll be off again. For me the real question is will the people who bought at the top and are currently bitching about it will wait to make decent gains or foolishly get out at small loss and stall the recovery.

And it was all predictable as this last pump followed exact the same schema as all the other pump waves before.
Sold at 2325 to 2329 what i had and now iīm waiting for the bottom of this hole.

hi, anybody here that can help me mine Solo please?

Solo mining seems to be broken on the current qt and daemon. I've tried everything and I'm not exactly a newb at this. User ReSI tried to help another user HERE but it was useless. I've messaged Digibyte about this almost 2 weeks ago but got no reply yet. Use version 4.0.3 to solo mine.

Thank you for replying, nobody else gave a hoot.

hallo_frosch told me this is not rocket science and that it is simple he has been mining for years.
Surely it takes a few minute to post a fucking guide to somebody in need of help and willing to contribute the to the network, ffs.

@TheIrishman who probably watches Rugby also, i was having thoughts that the wallet or listening process is indeed broke.
I was told to add rpcconnect as an entry as well and this is the problem

I have not tested it because i have been side-tracked.

Anyways, i will have a look later on, perhaps there is an older wallet which actually works for solo mining?

Hi,

i can ensure you that solo mining is working at least for sha256d and Scrypt with Wallet 6.14.2

Itīs maybe the algo thatīs the problem. You could test Solo Mining using Scrypt Algo with your GPU - or install Wallet 4.0.3 on another Computer and sync this Wallet using "addnode=ip adress of your 6.14.2" for a real fast sync and test this. One problem could be Segwit as the the old wallet dosnīt support Segwit.

What we saw in the last weeks was pure speculation.
Hope that Digi gets attention from an Investor who is interested in the technology and willing to invest a "bag of money" in future development for success on the long term.

sgminer -k skeincoin -o 127.0.0.1:14022 -u digiuser -p digipass --verbose

I have tried http://127.0.0.1:14022  and even just as in the command , it doesnt not freeknig work, this is like rocket science

Yes my wallet is running
and if i do a netstat -a and find 14022  it is listening, so i dont understand this , ffs
