Yes, I did mean Windows 7. Thanks. Do you recommend -rescan? or -reindex?
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Sync Issue and Reindex Help on: August 12, 2015, 01:36:17 AM
I am having sync issues. I am running the newest btc core client, v0.11.0 and I have been stuck on block 367988 for days now. I have tried restarting and such. Somone suggested to restart the client and reindex, but I don't know how to do that. Can any offer some advice on this? Thanks!

How do I use the brain wallet generator (http://bitmark.co/brain/) to make an encrypted paper wallet? Is it possible? Is there a paper wallet generator for BTM?

This generator creates private/public keypairs for the Bitmark network, it does not as yet provide BIP-38 encrypted paper wallets. I'll add a task to create one to our queue, community development of such items is also welcomed.

In the mean time we do have inuit which works as an encrypted cold storage solution.

Thank you for the reply! And thanks for the link. The inuit python program is a bit above my head though...

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ARCHcoin [ARCH] – The Profit Network on: October 02, 2014, 08:39:39 PM
Im literally blown away by a lot of these "so called investors" that invested in a coin without reading the OP let alone reading all 3 whitepapers....  Did you guys just happen to see a big ipo taking place and thought "wow i better not miss this"

Shit son you read 3 toilet papers? Wow what a waste of time. Never read that garbage. Price is controlled by whales. Only reason I bought in is because BTCArchitect is a whale, that's all you need to know. Hopefully a nice pump form the start like VIA only to slowly sell off to create a bunch of dumb bag holders.

Time is ticking though, if deadline is not met, this will be going down the toilet faster than diarrhea. Still 18 hours..

cheers

im not sure many people will take any notice of a newbie 1 post fud tbh m8.

anyway, ive decided to take a plunge and i am now invested, i hope that this is for real or my missus will kill me. lol

Of course he's pissed. He made bad trades and blames the market, not himself. And since he has no discernable skills, he has no way to make an income. If I were him i'd be mad and FUD'ing everyone too...... or he's just 14 years old.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain - LAUNCHED! on: August 24, 2014, 07:22:02 PM
It's amazing to me that this long after the launch the wallet is still so bad. I still get stuck on blocks. I follow every update to a 'T'... Coin is a joke. These devs are like a dog trying to drive a car. Glad I got my initial investment out early...

Anyone having issues with wallet syncing? If I leave it open for a long time, it will sync a bit, but never fully to the green check mark. 64 bit wallet.

It happens on stuck blocks, POS wallet coming soon and won't have this issue.

Thanks!

Windows wallet links still not working. Can dev, or someone, please post a link for me?

Do you need 32 or 64 bit version?
BK just posted on Twitter that he'll put it up again.

Thanks. 32 or 64 are fine. am 64 bit capable all around, but that brings me to a question: What s better about a 64 bit wallet version?

does the wallet work now?

It is not working.

I thought of cashing out today with huge loss cuz of personnel reasons but still stuck. Frankly I just needed the money . Cry

Perfect example of one of the main reasons alt-markets are so volatile. People play with money they can't afford to lose, then panic sell.

We are on the same boat, someone wants refund, someone doesn't, if we give DEV some time to fix these issues, we can get X5 profit at least.

stuck at 1663.

Moonriver, did you add the nodes?  Try that.

if you are on the wrong fork:
1. close your wallet
2. go to your data dir and wipe everyting BUT peers.dat, wallet.dat and the .conf file
3. put this file in that folder: https://mega.co.nz/#!HFMQSIrJ!g6BGdCv48RT11sgFOTsFiFbjoiR7DvrCum8kMw7EpH0
4. reopen wallet and wait for sync + connections
bootstrap.dat has the blocks in it. What about the peers? I cant get any connection to the wallet.

Put this in syscoin.conf file and delete what is there.

addnode=76.25.201.234:8369
addnode=67.253.247.113:8369
addnode=node.syscoin.me:6369

Now my wallet wont open  Cry
Can I just get a refund now? Its been 36hrs and still so many issues.

No refund. If people would just read and follow the instructions that are posted on every page you would be up and running already. When Mintpal goes live with deposits just send your coins there and dump into the walls.

Go to task manager and kill syscoin-qt.exe

Go to the start menu and type run and hit enter then type %APPDATA% and hit enter

Open syscoin folder.

Delete everything but the syscoin.conf and wallet.dat file.

Open syscoin program again. Everything will sync and you should be on the latest block.

Many of us have done that -  many times. I am now stuck on block 1794, and that is with Dano's bootstrap.dat file download from previous page.

That kind of helped. But now it's stuck on block 1794... Sounds like some pools are effing shit up. I am going to bed. I hope you tweet out the solution once it is reached. Too hard to chase down these BCT posts, even worse IRC...
