Oh wow, they are already working on the mobile wallet?  Any ETA announced for that yet?  Amazing progress so far, I am very impressed.  I am going to suggest a few of my friends download the wallet so we can test out the encrypted messaging system soon.

Hey everyone!  I am really excited to have become a part of the DO community, yesterday I purchased about 1900 ONIONs after nearly 2 weeks of research, I am extremely impressed by sucha  vibrant community for such a young coin.  But I can see the even greater success to come with such enthusiastic folks behind it.  I will introduce myself in the DO community forums soon. Smiley

I think people are waking up and realizing that the original plan of BTC was to be PRIVATE, and also that BTC is not private enough, we NEED ONION! Cool

Welcome aboard! Make sure to fix your signature soon Wink Replace the "XXXX" fields with your Bitcointalk user ID!

Ohno!  Wwait where is ther "xxxx", I am not seeing it?  Sorry maybe I am just blind. Sad

most would tell you Dark will be one day over $200 a coin

Who would tell you that, lol?  Other bag holders who invested at 5x the current valuation?  Ya... that sounds about right.

How soon you all forget.  Not too long ago you guys were going on about darkcoin replacing bitcoin.  One of your main cult leaders even had a signature stating he wouldn't sell until drk hit $300.

So basically BagHolder010 is correct and you're just playing dumb or the brainwashing is complete.

I've started to see what Darkcoin is all about now. It never meant to be for every one Worldwide currency like I thought when I invested in this coin; it's a good coin but it's downfall is it's distribution + community hates negative comments about this coin and ignore you without really debating with you. Also this mess with Mintpal biggest Darkcoin exchange took out volume and it's like scattered everywhere some went to Bitfinex others to Cryptsy or Bittrex it's sad really.

I actually agree with you, now that the volume is spread so thin across all exchanges, it poses a problem.  I looked over the various exchanges that trade DRK, and it looks like the community has overwhelmingly chosen Cryptsy, the DRK volume there is 5x+ what it is anywhere else.  Seems like an odd choice, as Cryptsy does not have a good track record.  I am one of many that have had serious deposit/withdrawl issues there.  I just hope Cryptsy is not DRK's new permanent home.

Darkcointalkers...

If you think we should stop sending our new users to mintpal, please upvote ----> this post <----

If you think mintpal's current service is a great introduction to Darkcoin for our new users, keep scrolling.

I agree completely, get them out of Mintpal ASAP, and direct new DRK traders to Bter and Bittrex instead, in my opinion.  Bter also pays you a small interest payment for your DRK balance (usually between .3-.45% annually), so even if trading is slow, you will get some small profit in the meantime.  Bittrex has lower volume and no interest bonus, but I do think it's a solid exchange as well.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AИN] NODE - 2n Gen. CryptoCurrency build from SCRATCH on NODE.JS - Brand NEW! on: October 04, 2014, 03:38:30 AM
Well, in the meantime let's use some of the hundreds of millions of NODE the devs have for SOMETHING.  What is the use of it just sitting there while NODE loses value?

i remember about XDE (DoubleEagle) launch august 13th
they give small bounty to everyone who make tweet to bittrex
and in one week bittrex list them
lol  Grin

This is actually a great idea.

yo!

so i bet you guys noticed my absence in the last 3 days! Well the reason is simple: my mother-in-law visited! And as you already know (from your experience or anecdotes) that sucks!

So i will blow off some steam with this inocentet MotherInLaw related joke:

-I was out shopping the other day after a conference, when I saw six women beating my MotherInLaw up.  As I stood there and watched, her neighbor, who knew me, said, "Well, aren't you going to help?"  I replied, "No.  Six of them is enough".

Anyone sharing the same feeling?! Cheesy

ok back to Node!

Thank you guys for being patient with our team!

At the end of this week the linux version will, be launched, and the APi will be published, so everyone will be able to contribute in their personal style!

The PoA Engine is being developed from scratch, and as the Node scenario, it will take time to be made!

Management, Marketing & PR or CR(Community relationship) should and won't be rushed! We will slowly get to that phase with a suitable plan and working medium, step by step! Rushing this part will bring only short term success - which isn't essential for a Payment Processing System!

As always we are open for dialog, and we will constantly bring new reports on our current and future development!

What you should expect in the next weeks:
- Promo discussion Thread
- Bounty Thread
- Job Offers!
- Public fund distribution discussion topics!
- and more.

As Always Thank you for your Support and Continuous Encouragements!

+1
We need promo
Looking forward to the Linux client

I am glad that you're moving along with developing plans for promotion, bounties, and jobs, this is very good news.  if you're going to start new threads for those things, be sure to make new posts and update the OP.

What myself and others are saying is we understand that the devs don't want to promote NODE just yet, but why are the hundreds of millions of NODE that the devs own not being put to use to help with other things, including business development, coding, website improvements, etc?  Why are those that volunteered not being replied to?  I gave some Twitter tips and volunteered to help 5-10 hours a week with social media...no response!  Even if the answer is "no", why not give some kind of response?  Is 520 hours a year of free labor not important to you? Someone else offered to redo the website, since it is riddled with broken links and has sub-par design and navigation.  No response. There was also another guy some pages back that offered to give them a brand new logo 100% free of charge.  No response.

Go take a look at the FRESHcoin thread.  The dev did the exact same thing there; ignored those trying to help.  He got offers to have the entire business and marketing plan done for him, professional new logo, promotional materials, and professionally done promotional video.  By ignoring them, he got NOTHING.  These services cost thousands of dollars.  Where is the logic in this?  For what reason would you not want to answer an email from someone giving you everything on a silver platter?  You're busy, I understand.  But do you expect those people to just wait around for a month until you're ready to talk to them?  Guess what, they're busy too, and before long they will move on themselves.

I still own a lot of NODE and believe that it has a chance in the long term, but the devs need BALANCE in their efforts.  It can't be 99% working on code, .5% marketing, .5% business development.  That is a recipe for disaster.  If you do not stay relevant, the best product in the world can't save you because by the time it is finished everyone has forgotten about you.

I am confident that devs are working hard.  The problem is that the rest of the crypto community have absolutely no idea of this.  Where are all the hundresds of millions of NODE that are supposed to be used for bounties and hiring others for development?  What is the sense in waiting around?  Take ONE day off, do some serious networking on Reddit/start Reddit page, go through your list of volunteers/job offers and make decisions, post back here and Reddit to let people know what's going on.  It's not that hard.

Anyone know if NODE is in the queue to be added to Coin Gecko?

So reading your posts on promotion. We will start the promotion will be executed when the following items

1) When we release the final version of c forging POA
2) Stable client Windows and Linux. (Linux client will be released soon)
3) Promotion of the fund will attract users who have written to us earlier and willing to help, as well as new users from the community
4) Adding one more exchange

Our development team is looking forward to the launch promotion, but we set the task we have to perform before you start promoting Node.

Good job on answering with a straightforward set of criteria, that answers our question on when promotion will be executed.  In the meantime we need to start planning the how.  Since the devs hold a very large portion of the coins, there should be a ton of bounties and several compensated positions to fill.  I am one of those who messaged you asking to help that you mentioned in your post.  I have a marketing and business development background if you are interested in getting more in depth with a full-on marketing plan.

Already such an improvement, wow.  I'd definitely encourage you guys to have a news section or Twitter feed widget on your site so people can see how rapidly progress is being made.

Well I can personally confirm they are hard at work behind the scenes because I just finished working with Silk and Koop on the new blockexplorer layout  Grin

Oh wow, awesome news, thanks for letting us know. 😄

Don't be impatient.  The devs are talking to multiple exchanges right now, but these things don't happen in a day or two, they take TIME.  Their to-do list is probably the length of an encyclopedia right about now.  They have stated that they do have plans to expand the team as well, so in the future things will move quicker, but in the meantime these guys are working hard every day, but they need to eat and sleep.  I have received some messages from them the past few days, and they are starting to work on the marketing side as well.

So Bittrex, BTC38 and Poloniex, all in the works. Smiley  NODE is moving forward, excellent job on your constant business development guys.

Meeting with BtcChina? This is huge news, I can't believe nobody has been talking about this.  Its the first I've heard of it. any further details?

The price is only going down because there was about 1000 people with 600.000 Nodes, and not everyone dump his coin at the beginning, so this are only stake dumpers.
It has nothing to do with the coin.

imo in 2-3 weeks are the most stakes are dumped and the price will be stable, when the the devs than deliever something, it will grow steady.

So i would say, sell your coins now, buy back when you can make 50% or 100% more coins and hold.

I agree completely.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AИN] NODE - 2n Gen. CryptoCurrency build from SCRATCH on NODE.JS - Brand NEW! on: September 20, 2014, 10:30:31 AM
I totally agree, it makes my jaw hit the floor at how people panic and sell because the early investors are not done dumping yet and the price takes a dip.  This stage will eventually pass, you don't need to worry.  Devs getting caught lying, going MIA, fraudulent features, etc those are things that yo would actually need to worry about.  NODE and its devs have been rock solid, and this is just the beginning.  For a good example, Blackcoin has taken some big hits, but if you go look in their thread, the confidence is sky high.  Why?  Because the community and development efforts are strong, and Blackcoin has a TRUSTED reputation for being hardworking and honest.  Because Blackcoin knows that they will be successful in the LONG TERM.

That's what matters.

And... I'm out.  Maybe I'll get back in later but people seem to be disappointed in the whitepaper, and the market's reflecting that.  Maybe this will go somewhere.  Too bad no one answered my basic question pages ago of when this coin would be going to Bittrex.  Oh well.  Good luck everyone.

This is false.  The market is not selling because they are disappointed in the whitepaper.  Since trading has opened, the VAST majority of sell orders have been very close to 600k...the size of a stake.  This means that the early bird investor dumping stage is not yet over.  It's certainly understandable given how many got one for next to nothing (or completely free).  In fact, considering how many are dumping, the price is actually holding up remarkably well.  Don't forget also that Bter is a site primarily used by the Chinese market, and a TON of Chinese investors are liquidating their assets to invest in the Alibaba IPO.  And for goodness sake, it's been less than 48 hours since Bittrex even SUGGESTED they were interested in NODE! Do you think coins get added overnight?  Give it some time.  It is supposedly also being added to Poloniex.  Those will be huge boosts to NODE and bring in a whole new audience that has yet to discover it. Nobody can predict how long it will take the early investor dumpers to exhaust their supply, but look at how strong our community is already in such a short time.  Look at the sites that want to add NODE already.  Look at the solid communication the devs have shown already.  If NODE can come this far in such a short time, we have a very bright future to look forward to.
