Well, it was a little more successful this time. After two hours one miner had accepted 1150 shares and continued but the other miner stopped at 764 shares. I used the zip file you provided on dropbox. Is my JSON config correct? Please let me know. { "gc3355" : [ "\\\\.\\COM3", "\\\\.\\COM4" ], "gc3355-freq" : [ "\\\\.\\COM3:850", "\\\\.\\COM3:875:0", "\\\\.\\COM3:900:3", "\\\\.\\COM4:900", ], "gc3355-autotune" : true, "gc3355-timeout=300" : true, "pools" : [ { "url" : "mypool:7777", "user" : "myusername", "pass" : "mypassword" }, { "url" : "mypool:7777", "user" : "myusername", "pass" : "mypassword" } ], "freq" : "850", "debug" : true } Thanks again for the help. xenonex2003

I spoke too soon. I ran the miner and then went out for a couple of hours. When I came back the miners were flashing but the miner values were all 0. Frustrating. I'm running Win7 64bit Ultimate Edition. Any ideas??? Thanks, xenonex2003

Hi all,
I just got two gridseed miners.
I've installed the drivers and both show up under 'ports' in device manager. One is on COM3 and the other is on COM4.
I am using cgminer to mine with and this is the command line I am using:
minerd.exe --freq=800 --gc3355=COM3 -o stratum+tcp://us-east.multipool.us:7777 -u user.1 -p pass.1 minerd.exe --freq=800 --gc3355=COM4 -o stratum+tcp://us-east.multipool.us:7777 -u user.1 -p pass.1
What is the command line to mine with both miners?
Thanks in advance,

Hi All,
Until recently I was mining ltc with 1 x 7970 card. I then decided to get another 7970 and mine with both cards in one machine. I thought it would be as simple as buying the card, putting it in the machine, adding a second miner to guiminer.scrypt and pressings 'start'. Well, I was wrong.
When I run guiminer.scrypt, I: - select first miner - select GPU: [0-1] Tahiti - select 7970 [high priority] - click start
This starts mining and I get a kHash/s of 696.
Then, I click on miner 2 and do all of the above except I choose GP [0-0] Tahiti but when I click 'start', along the bottom of the miner, I get the following:
(ls):0.000 (avg):0.000h/s Q:1 A:0 R:0 HW:0 E:0% U:0.0/m
What does that mean?
Originally, I installed windows when there was only one card in the system.
Do I need to plug a monitor into each card and then re-install windows 7?
Thanks for any help given.

Hi all,
1. I'm running an android app called 'Wallet Balance'. It's quite a good free app which tells you your wallet balance and show the value in $ as well as BTC.
However, the balance in my wallet on the PC is, for example, 0.45, but the balance in the phone app is only 0.42.
The adndroid app lets you paste address keys in to it. I've pasted a few addresses associated with previous transactions but it still doesn't show the same balance as the desktop wallet.
Any ideas on how I can fix this.
2. Also, I have some NMC's. Can I convert them into BTC's? If so, how is this done?
Thanks in advance.

Hi All,
About 2 years ago I setup bitcoin and I'm pretty sure I mined about 10 bitcoins. I saved the wallet.dat file back then and it's about 800k in size. Yesterday I decided to get back into mining and installed the latest bitcoin client miner and wallet apps on my pc.
When I ran the wallet app, it said my wallet was out of sync and I let it sync up but it says I have 0 bitcoins. As I said, I'm sure I had 10.
Is it possible that because I've used a new username and password for bitcoin miner that it's not getting the correct data from the wallet?
Thanks in advance for any help.

My first post, hello world!
This whole deal of anonymous money, encryption, onion routing, etc., I believe is going to make society as different as (maybe) the internet/www did. Then again, I could be wrong.
Yeah, but it's very cool all the same don't you think? ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Hi all,
When I first started mining I was mining 0.1 BTC every 12 yours. Well, now I'm generating less than 0.05 BTC in 12 hours. Does this mean the difficulty has increased or is something else going on. I'm using slush's pool at the moment. Would I get better results using another pool? Thanks.

Thank you very much for the replies.
As I said earlier, I have a 5770 card at the moment. Would it be better to get another 5770 or 5870 and use crossfire or get rid of the 5770 and get a single 58xx/59xx or 68xx/69xx?
Also, is it worth trying solo mining?
Thanks,

Hi,
I only recently discovered bitcoin. I had an HD 4890 card which I recently sold and replaced it with a HD 5770 card. I'm getting about 210 mhash/s. I'm getting about 0.10 per day which means it will take me a week to mine 1 bitcoin.
I just wanted to have a few things clarified.
1. Do I have to run guiminer 24/7 to have more of a chance of solving a block or could I still solve a block if I run it for only 12 hours a day?
2. I'm a member of slush's pool. Does this mean I will never have the opportunity to solve a block and only get the fractional 0.10 btc every day?
3. Will I eventually solve a block or is it totally random, and therefore, may never solve a block? I have been mining for 3 weeks and have mined 2.2 btc.
4. Does the number of shares have an affect on solving a block? At the moment guiminer shows I have accepted 16422 shares. What does this mean?
5. The bitcoin client only ever shows a maximum of 62 connections. I have forwarded the ports in my router. Is that normal? Does the number of connections have an affect on solving a block?
Thank for any help with these questions.
