1  Economy / Speculation / Re: Whats your faw indicator explaining BTC price up or down ? on: July 31, 2023, 11:14:31 AM
Thanks both.
I was maybe not clear enough in my initial post.
In the long run supply / demand and factors driving it e.g.  prices of other commodities or other markets, overall market sentiment etc. is clear. This of course to large degree translate to daily prices ranges however I'd like to understand factors impacting hourly and daily prices of Perpetual market pairs other then mentioned above.
Let consider TP/SL.
For instance if  there is large quantity of positions in Long and market is going up - potentially if Take Profit is triggered on all of them then the Sell orders are triggered which will bring the price down (how much down would depend on to volume) but this would be somehow misleading signal. Same in opposite direction. Large quantity of Shorts triggering TP would trigger Buy which will push market up.
Are there indicators showing number of TP/SL on BTC ?
Maybe some other such factors driving hourly prices?

Thanks
M
2  Economy / Speculation / Whats your faw indicator explaining BTC price up or down ? on: July 31, 2023, 09:02:17 AM
Hey Guys,
Just want to ask what's your favorite Indicators that help you understand what are the reasons of BTC prices goes up or down.
What I'm talking about in particular is not external factors e.g. Economy news, FED moves etc. but more like technical analyses and indicators that would help understand if e.g. recent decrease was because of Long positions selling or entering short positions etc.

Thanks

3  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Makers and Takers fees on: June 23, 2023, 06:47:54 PM
Thanks both for your reply.
I'll take a closer look on the Trade History. Additionally this must add to the impression "unrealized P&L does not include trading fee and funding fee but closed P&L (realized) does, that is why losses = bigger losses, profits = lesser profits. "
BTW @oorman0  - I'm impressed how fast you have found this old tweet Smiley

Thanks again
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Makers and Takers fees on: June 23, 2023, 01:28:47 PM
Hey All,
Question on a Makers and Takers fees as apparently I'm missing something. I'm trading on Bybit Derivatives Perpetual, mostly using Market prices meaning (per my understanding) I'm Taker. I use relatively small amounts and I've notice my PNL after transaction is done significantly differs from the one I see on the Trading view when closing transaction. Sometimes I see like 2 $ profit and after Market order to sell in order history I see 0.20$ PNL. I thought this is % base and according to Bybit it's
Taker Fee: Order Value × Taker Fee Rate (0.06%)
so should not be that much of a difference.  Yes I also know that it also depends on the price by which the order was filled in, but still I'm puzzled by % difference.
Also Bybit Order history page which shows only basic info on sell  from top menu Orders -> Unified Trading Account -> USDT Perpetual  does not show transaction fee amounts, or am I missing something ?

Thanks for your advices

5  Economy / Economics / App to monitor financial world events - what are you using ? on: June 12, 2023, 02:33:39 PM
Hey All,
Can you recommend website / app that monitors upcoming financial events that impact global finances ? Like example upcoming US FED interest rates decision on Wednesday, next year BTC halving etc. Is there an app that help keep tract, set mobile alerts etc ? What are you using ? I'm just wondering if there is one stop shop for that type of info vs. collecting all the knowledge from news, tweets, socials ...

Thanks

6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Order Book price pick for Limit Futures Long/Short orders on: June 07, 2023, 01:00:13 PM
Thanks for the explanation.
So this basically means that If I want to go Short and place an order below 25 000 then it would be immaterially filled at the lowest market. Which is basically the same as Market.
Got it. Thanks !
7  Economy / Trading Discussion / Order Book price pick for Limit Futures Long/Short orders on: June 07, 2023, 12:22:19 PM
Hey All,
I just want to validate the logic on how the price is being pick for me while placing an order for Limit Futures Perpetual.
If there is a good article or video, please point me to the right direction as somehow all I can find is just general description how the concept works which I get but I want to be sure I also understand this detail.

So assuming scenario where we have crypto pair YYY/USDT at AVG price  USDT 100.50 and currently sell orders are ranging between lowest USDT 100.00 to 101.00

Buy/Long
1. if I place an order anywhere above 100.00 USDT then the price will be picked for me at the lowest 100.00 assuming it can fill in all or part of my order
2. if I place an order anywhere below 100.00 USDT, say 99.50 then this will wait until price drops to my order price

Sell/Short
1. if I place an order anywhere above 100.00 USDT then the price will be picked for me at the lowest 100.00 assuming it can fill in all or part of my order
2. if I place an order anywhere below 100.00 USDT, say 99.50 then it will NOT wait until price drops but execute an order at the lowest possible which is 100.00

I'd want to confirm the logic but especially Sell/short since this is somehow counter intuitive.

Thanks

8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How efficiently track spending to gain ration on all coins / wallet ? on: May 29, 2023, 09:15:30 PM
Hey All,
Thank you all for your suggestions.
I think I'm able to create excel file myself since I was using VBA (long time ago).
I might have been wrong but in the times when basically all the apps around us are trying to do everything (including thinking) for us functionality I mention, is close to be base expectation from a wallet. I guess I'm wrong Wink and here more then anywhere else thinking by yourself is still more like survivor skill Wink ... which is good !

Thanks again

9  Other / Beginners & Help / How efficiently track spending to gain ration on all coins / wallet ? on: May 29, 2023, 10:50:38 AM
Dears,
Which tool will allow me to efficiently tract how much I spend per individual transaction per coin ? So if I purchase 2 times one unit of coins AAA
P1: AAA 1.0 for 2$
P2: AAA 1.0 for 3$

My avg price is 2.5$ || my total spend is 5$ || and say now one AAA value = 4$ then my total value on that position is 8$.
Nice thing would be additional column with gain / loss per transaction comparing to current price.
Nothing fancy, simple stats per transaction just nicely prepared.

I've tried cointracker.io but it doesn't provide such details, at least free version.

Any advice much appreciated.
Thanks.
10  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to place orders quickly on 1m intervals ? on: May 24, 2023, 01:56:22 PM
Hey everyone,
I was wondering how to you as quickly as possible place Long or Short orders on Binance / Bybit (or any other) for 1 min interval strategies ? I mean before you calculate your stop loss / take profit one or two another min passes and very often your calculations become more or less irrelevant already.
Dear friend this is scalping and 1m time frame is very dangerous for inexperienced traders because the volatility is higher as price moves faster than your brains can calculate. Setting stop loss/ take profits require cross checking to ensure the prediction are right and 1m interval won't guarantee you that.

Copy that, thanks! I'm well aware and are not intending to do so. However just asked the question this way as this would be functionality that could be beneficial on any time intervals. Just set your strategy more in visual way, and then boom click 'copy to bet'.  Thanks again for quick response.

I mean before you calculate your stop loss / take profit one or two another min passes and very often your calculations become more or less irrelevant already. Tools like Tradingvierw's 'Long Position' and 'Short Position' would let me visually select levels but there is no like 'copy to order' what I've set in the tool. Or am I missing something ?

Thanks
