1  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official FutureBit Apollo BTC Software/Image and Support thread on: April 21, 2024, 09:09:41 PM
hi all, I have Apollo II full Node on the way hopefully in May, cant wait!

question - can I pre-download the bitcoin ledger in advance and then copy it onto the SSD once I get the Apollo II? Just want to save time and manage bandwidth as dont want the node downloading at full rate when I get it clogging up internet for few days as I use it for work etc so wanted to set a controlled download now eg using Bitcoin Core and let it run for a week or two on limited bandwidth. How can I then transfer it onto the Apollo II nvme SSD?

thanks in advance!

I'd like to know the same, I am not clear on how this coin works and whats the correlation to performance of the top 20 cryptos vs pure demand that normaly drives price of the cryptos.

so nobody is replying to my question ... if this is real, what is the contract address for the token so I can add it to MEW? has the fork happened? why isnt this announced anywhere ?
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ETZ]EtherZero - Fork 1:1 of Ethereum | 0 TX Fee | Masternode | 10000+ TPS on: January 20, 2018, 04:40:56 AM
is this thing real ? I checked my eth wallet address on MEW and I cant see any tokens deposited after the fork was supposed to happen. Whats the contract address for this token ?

looks like a scam so far ...
7  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [Unofficial] Exodus Wallet | Multi-Currency | Built-in Exchange on: December 31, 2017, 09:34:52 PM
so its just stored like any other ECR20 token on same ETH address ?
8  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [Unofficial] Exodus Wallet | Multi-Currency | Built-in Exchange on: December 31, 2017, 09:27:54 PM
what happens with Ethereum goes through the next fork on 19th Jan ? Ethereum Zero apparently will the byproduct and if you hold 1 ETH you are apparently getting same amount of ETZ

Currently Exodus doesnt have ETC obviously so where will I get my coins if I am holding ETH in Exodus ?

thanks

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Multiple currencies for one MyEtherWallet - Tron and KIN on: December 29, 2017, 06:36:09 AM
hi guys

can someone please help a newbie ? I created a new MyEtherWaller and saved all the relevant details (paperwallet).

Now that give me an address and private key when I look at it.

I have some KIN and TRX which apparently both can be sent to ETH address

so, dumb question, can I go to my exchange and send both of these as two separate transations to the same ETH address on the paperwallet?

and then once done, go on myetherwallet.com and check the balance and I should be able to see both tokens there?

lastly, when I want to withdraw one day, will myetherwallet give me option which token to withdraw and to what address I want it sent ?

sorry for all the questions, hopefully someone can help with more details how to do all this.

thanks in advance!

btw just dumped my 1.8million embershits Wink

why ? why not HODL until devs fix things up and see what happens when other exchanges are back trading?
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: EMBERCOIN [X13, POW/POS] on: December 28, 2017, 06:19:30 AM
can someone tell me how this QT wallet works ? I downloaded latest version, run as admin and I created wallet and now its saying out of Sync. I copied the embers.conf file with nodes in it and saved in folder, the app says there are 2 active connections , eats up 30-40% of my CPU and nothing else is shown. How do I know its syncing ? is there a way to see ?

thanks in advance
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v10.2 (Windows/Linux) on: December 14, 2017, 08:23:46 AM
hi guys,

I just built a new rig, Fatal1ty H270 Performance with 4GB ram, I3 cpu and 6 x asus radeon rx 570 expedition oc

When I installed 2 cards first on their own in PCIe slots, then windows 10 etc , blockchain drivers plsu patchers I would get solid 27MH/s (BIOS moded on all cards).

then, I moved the mobo to open case and plugged all six GPUs in using PCIe risers, installed drivers etc, then used the patcher, I can see in GPUz all cards have correct drivers etc.

I run Claymore , it detects 6 cards, stars mining and all I get is 21mh/s

any idea what am I doing wrong please?
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v10.2 (Windows/Linux) on: November 28, 2017, 02:48:05 AM

Did you try
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eth-au.dwarfpool.com:8008 -ewal MYWALLETNUMBER/RIG1 -epsw x -allpools 1?

why do I need to add allpools 1? I actually tried that and the miner is running however, when I check my wallet on the dwarfpool site, there are no ETH deposits and average hashrate is showing as zero so I thought that means its not working ?
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v10.2 (Windows/Linux) on: November 27, 2017, 07:56:00 PM
Can someone please help me with Claymore command settings?

I have been mining with ethminer for a while now and using dwarfpool , and I can see my stats on the dwarfpool site easily. e.g. my avg hashspeed etc.
now, I changed to Claymore as I seem to get more MHs, here is my batch file :

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eth-au.dwarfpool.com:8008 -ewal MYWALLETNUMBER -epsw x

I also tried adding rig name :

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eth-au.dwarfpool.com:8008 -ewal MYWALLETNUMBER/RIG1 -epsw x
or
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eth-au.dwarfpool.com:8008 -ewal MYWALLETNUMBER.RIG1 -epsw x

and it still doesnt work, this is the error I get:

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / very low hashrate on ETH for Sapphire Nitro+ RX580 4GB Elpida on: November 24, 2017, 08:22:55 PM
As the title states, I am getting very low hashrates for Sapphire Nitro+ RX580 4GB Elpida memory chips.

Stock out of box it would do 18Mh/s, after doing the BIOS mod and copying 2:1500 to all below it stayed at 18mhs. After overclocking / downclocking core clock at 1200 and mem at 2025 I get 20 Mh/s.

I am using ethminer, Windows 10 and 17.11.1 drivers. When using simplemining USB stick I get 18mh/s

any ideas what I can do to get better hashate pls?

EDIT: I reinstalled the blockchain ATI drivers and now getting 24MH/s with the above mods. Anything else I can do to get closer to 30 ?
17  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: August 15, 2014, 09:37:02 PM
so if I want to run anything higher than the stock frequency, like 237 are the extra 2 PCIe connectors a MUST in order to work or not ?
18  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: August 15, 2014, 09:13:18 PM

Update....the latest firmware is a disaster on my miners...I don't like how the asic frequencies are only read from the rom (read only) for starters...the clock selections defaulting to 237.5 was the first sign, along with the other details I mentioned in the first post I made regarding this new firmware..back to 0721 for me and I don't get x's on stock like I do with the new firmware...all in all I think its a piece of junk and should be pulled from bitmain site...and what is the deal with the july 28 firmware...I had it on a few of my ants and now its gone due to the flash "upgrade" downgrade...I cant honestly see any benefit from having the latest August firmware...and for those who will say it helps with overclocking...if that is the help you need to overclock, please quit while you are ahead  Roll Eyes

interesting observations and thanks for sharing. I just saw the firmware update on the site and downloaded but now hesitant to update.

Anyone out there that updated and had no issues?
19  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: August 12, 2014, 06:04:41 AM
Did you make sure the heatsinks were tight? Sounds like heat issue.

I have not taken any of my S3s apart. Is that what you are suggesting? The temp is always under 40C.
20  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: August 12, 2014, 05:45:10 AM
can someone shed some light on one of my S3s?

The chips are all ok, no errors reported (as in "x" or "-") and what happens, when I power off the S3 it starts hashing at 450gh/s but veeery slowly over 18-24 hours drops down to 405gh/s average (thats using stats from the miner itself). Why is this happening ? Powering it off and restarting is bit of a pain as the only way to do it is to pull the cables manually out in order not to shut down other miners.
