What can you guys say about the FinTab project ? The platform looks very promising, but I would like to hear the opinions of experienced traders.

Don't know about that project~

Chris, what ever happened to your IOC glow? I hope you're still staking? Market is red, everything red.

No one wants to say it right now because of being depressed, but I think the team is doing a good job code wise. With the integration of IOC blockchain into ADM, utilization would increase.

What is this ADM exactly, what is so special about that?
Is it another crypto cashmachine?
Does it mean I can buy and sell IOC with my Creditcard on a ADM machine?

https://admecosystems.com/blockchain-services-use-cases/

It is a Proof of Concept that wll realize what IOC blockchain can do and will roll out in Puerto Rico in 2019 with beta launch and small scale testing.

It's a PoC that's months away, but yes, I think within that plan there is the ability to send/wire currency. But its not only that, it'll service the millions that cant be able to do so in puerto rico, and if that concept works there, sky's the limit to adoption as people realize IOC blockchain is what most ICOs are trying to create atm, lots are still years down the line.

As always, the team will provide updates on development, Shade is going to activate!

Bittrex wallet has been down since the blockupdate?

Anyone know whats going on here? want to move my IOC out to stake, but seriously haven't been allowed to touch for ages now

Hey there! The final step is for current wallet users to move to new protocol and have the network stable. After that Bittrex should be open for depo/withdrawals.

Before you move your funds please make sure you have the right wallet up>

Hey all!

Crazy night we had, if you are behind on blocks, please close your wallet and backup your files.

Then proceed to Close Wallet, back up your entire wallet folder and replace peers.dat, blk001.dat and txleveldb with the blockchain files provided here:

https://github.com/IOCoin/DIONS/releases/tag/DIONS-BLK-1625588

Then proceed to turn on your wallet!

DIONS IS HERE! Cheesy

IMPORTANT DEV NOTICE - please take note

The dev team is looking into a report of a User Interface related issue where sending IOC to an internal change address from within the wallet results in txfee error.

While we investigate and try to replicate, as precautionary measure please halt any sending from within the wallet to change address or any other internal address, a patch will be released if we can confirm the findings. So no in-wallet sending (from an wallet address to another address in that same wallet)

Bittrex is fine because they don't use the User Interface.
Always do a 1 IOC test send first.

The daemon is all fine and DIONS will continue to be launched.
This is an user interface issue that has not been replicated as of yet but we want to make sure it works 100%.

Be on the look out for an update wallet from the team if needed.

Thanks

I/O Dev team.

Update from Joel:

@channel we have indentified that some nodes have passed the threshold of the DDOS attack and some have stayed behind. Please take your wallets down. While we stabilize things to allow the chain to not generate more errors from the wallets that got stock on the DDOS

Please take your wallets down guys!

Greetings IOC Community members! As you all may know, there is a giveaway that the community is hosting to increase user adoption and market exposure of the awesome capabilities the DIONS v.1 Wallet could do with aliases, p2p messaging and decentralized storage capabilities! If you haven’t known about it already, the link to the giveaway is here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=695855.msg24115754#msg24115754

Hence, this is a community marketing campaign that is in much need of support from you all! If you are willing to come and help us out in any way or form, please contact me or Skuffone to help out!

Or conversely, you can help by donating some of your crypto or IOC to the giveaway pot to increase the incentives for people to come and try the wallet out! Every bit of donation counts to helping us get noticed out there even more!

If that is something you are willing to do, we have set up an IOC address for any donation to the community giveaway that is escrowed by me in this address:
ihRoSy8RTA6vAMsNwhaJw8uaAmpiyEA2aE

The donation is aimed to add to the giveaway fund along with paying expenses on advertising. Hopefully we'll hit a target of 3k/4k, that way, we can have a targeted approach on marketing the DIONS wallet via this giveaway.

Let’s get the ball rolling and create a huge success to show that the community is also here to stay and show Joel and Derek our appreciation for the amazing wallet and blockchain upgrade they have delivered the community.

Finally, if you have any other cryptos you would like to donate, feel free to contact me, Richard or Skuffone/JC on our social media channels!

Here is the Raspberry Pi Stretch headless wallet for IOCoin v1.0.5. Due to the changes in libssl in Stretch you have to run the installation script to install the correct version of libssl otherwise the wallet will not work.

Important:
1) Always backup your wallet.dat first before you do anything
2) The wallet was built on Raspberry Pi3 running Raspbian Stretch and the instructions and script assume you are running as user "pi". It is a pre-requisite to have Raspbian Stretch installed on your Pi micro-SD card, preferably a clean installation. You can find instructions of how to do this on https://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/ by either installing n00bs and selecting your OS or by downloading the image for the OS.
3) Installation directory where the binaries are installed is ~/opt/iocoin or /home/pi/opt/iocoin
4) To run the wallet go to the directory with the wallet and run the wallet file iocoind for the headless wallet at the command line.
5) An Internet connection is required for the installation
6) A bootstrap.dat is available to fast track the blockchain sync - up to block 1613775. The installation script does not force the install of the bootstrap.dat as it is very large. You need to manually download it, unzip it and place the bootstrap.dat in the ~/.iocoin folder and then run the wallet.
7) The bootstrap.dat also works for Windows wallets. Windows users just have to copy the bootstrap.dat file into their c\users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\IOCoin folder and run the Win client again
8.) You need at least an 8GB memory card for the wallet. However, with the large bootstrap file there is a chance you might run out of space and therefore a 16GB card is recommended.
9) The installation itself takes about 30-45min on an out-of-the-box Pi, but due to the large chain it will take several hours to import the blockchain.
10) You cannot just download the dynamic wallets, you have to run the script to get the dependencies as well else it will not run.
11) The installation script does not enable the UFW firewall by default. If you want to enable it, uncomment the UFW lines in the script and add the ports you want open and run it again or enable it manually by running the UFW commands as in the script with the correct port numbers from the command line.
12) Always verify the checksums when you download files to make sure it was downloaded ok. To verify the checksums on your Pi, go to the ~/opt/iocoin folder and execute sha256sum <filename> and md5sum <filename> and compare the values with the values in the checksums.txt file. Do the same for the bootstrap.dat

Instructions to use the headless command line daemon wallet:

1) The installation script creates an iocoin.conf file with the startup settings in it. Go to the folder with the binaries ~/opt/iocoin and enter ./iocoind in a terminal window to start the server
2) After the blockchain has been imported you can enter the normal wallet commands that you would as in a Windows debug console preceded with ./iocoind eg. ./iocoind getinfo. During the first time blockchain import process the wallet will be non-responsive in the sense that it will say it cannot connect to the wallet. Just wait for the import to finish and the wallet will become responsive again.
3) Remember to always make a backup of your wallet.dat file before you do anything like encrypting it
4) To encrypt your wallet run the command ./iocoind encryptwallet <yourpassword>
5) Once you have the wallet running, blockchain imported and your wallet with coins on the Pi, then you can kickstart staking by executing ./iocoind walletpasshprase <yourwalletpassword> 99999999 true

For Raspbian Stretch headless wallet
Code:
wget https://bitbucket.org/jc12345/iocoin1/downloads/iocoin_installation_pi.sh && chmod +x iocoin_installation_pi.sh && ./iocoin_installation_pi.sh && rm -f iocoin_installation_pi*

Beautiful project! Your team definitely expects success! Do you plan to conduct a bounty campaign?
Thank you! With Respect Denis!

Thank you for your kind words, really glad that you are interested in helping via bounties. However, for now the team does not have any plans thus far for bounties but will keep that idea in mind.

Nonetheless, the IOC team have considered creating an online development forum whereby ideas can be pitched, tasks can be opened and funding can be raised from the community to give the contributors an incentive to work on the task with set milestones and payouts. All of this can be delivered in a fully transparent way via a website. Will get a post out soon about that, along with several focus on getting listing on exchanges.

this is the best coin to have in quarter 4. Clock is ticking though.

Literally, it is lol. Glad to have you here Brendon! Smiley

What do you mean by "clock is ticking"?

Can someone please clarify: what happens with the Bittrex IO coins during the shift/fork to DIONS? Are they going to be secure, or what is the suggested approach for handling his coins during the fork?

Thank you

I'm guessing he means the DIONS countdown clock from https://www.iocoin.io/

From what I understand they have already prepared Bittrex for the upgrade and will work with them to make sure everything goes smoothly. Coins should be safe to keep in Bittrex.

If you have your funds in Bittrex, as far as the fork to DIONS is concerned, the team will be working with Bittrex to ensure the safe move to the new chain. However, its always a good idea to leave your funds in your own wallet. If you need help with that, reach out to the team members on slack, discord or telegram Smiley

AND? not sure what your point is. Derek Hatton is Derek Hatton. what u want. If you dont like it move along

Derek is not hiding, nor is he a pre-mined fud type dev. He is here to stay and have been staying along with richard and joel. IOC isnt here to just scam, literally our product is working unlike most out there that is shilling with ico funds and having a great mcap bigger than ours. With the call for more info on derek, think ioc team addressed it before that Derek is focusing on development so not frequently around. Plus, think a developer works best when there's not much fud going around that he has to address.

Is there some numbers anywhere for the rewards? Is it pointless if you dont have masternode?

masternodes schmasternodes.....this project doenst use them or need them. probably the highest percentage staking coin since 2014.
eash wallet is its own node....and will earn approximately 1.1% interest per year on balance in wallet. (that is based on apprx 50% of coins staking....which is historically where its been).  until DIONS releases under current algo rewards would be like... 100 will earn about 1 ioc per year....1,000 probably 11 per year
the real value is not in staking reward alone but in appreciation value in token that comes from have such a strong pos staking network. (see growth in tokens value over time)
and with release of DIONS, staking rewards should increase exponentially as fees for such things like DION registration, document storage and encrypted decentralized chat all carry fees that go back to stakers

Sometimes when I find other PoS coins with high %.. mann do the guys buying these things understand economics.. well then again some were bought at 1 satoshi... not much downside there lol. But indeed, the value of a coin is not mainly on rewards, other tech focus should attract value as well.

Some serious grasping at straws trying to FUD here lol.

If these are the details that bother you I bet you have a really hard time finding projects to invest in lmao.

Wanna know if a home builder is good or bad? Look at and inspect the home they built.

Wanna know if a janitor is good or bad? Look at how clean the floors and toilets are.

Wanna know if a developer is good or bad? Look at and inspect the code they write.

The proof is in the pudding and this pudding looks fucking delicious.

IOC is definitely not one to miss Wink
