Are you opening the file in a text editor like notepad? If so, that's not going to give you anything useful. The wallet.dat file is not a text file and contains lots of binary data that will appear as gibberish in a text editor.
Have you tried opening/restoring a copy of it in Bitcoin Core? Bitcoin Core is the only software that can tell you whether the wallet.dat is valid.
Yes. I opened it in notepad. I also opened a different old old wallet file on my andriod device and it's all there and legible. No. I have not opened it or placed it in the Bitcoin Core directory yet. I was reading on how to use the recovery of the file but the Chinese characters threw me off (I have too many old wallet files and concerned about placing more than one wallet in the directory at a time and whether it will corrupt bitcoin core or not). I also have other old wallet files that are behaving similarly. I cannot remember if these were encrypted or not, but they appear to be? What should I do?

Hello.
I have recovered an old wallet.dat file that has UTF-16 BE encoding that opens in Chinese characters in windows 11.
What can I do to fix this and import my wallet?

Hello.
I am inquiring for assistance to better understand, not ordinals before someone jumps to a conclusion, the original bitcoin bitmap files, from what I recall, when bitcoin (2009-2010, and prerelease in 2008) started and bitcoin bitmap files were issued for block grants with free bitcoin, like when faucets were used or the promotional free bitcoin for sign-up, because I am restoring lost data from my original drives where the drives which contain my wallet and other data, also follow-up backup drives where some files may be backed up and came across a few original bitcoin bitmap block files that I need to access or claim since I own the file and can claim these blocks.
If you have questions for me, please explain why you are asking the question so I may better understand your approach in your line of questioning and may provide a more accurate answer in relation to the subject matter of your question (Thanks).
My question is, how do I access or claim these original block grants that are bitcoin bitmap files or load them into my wallet since I have the files? And before you ask, no, a bitmap viewer or infraview cannot open these files and they can only be opened with a particular bitcoin application.
What do I do?
Thank you for all your assistance ahead of time.
P.S.: All the bitmap block files are the appropriate memory size of the blockchain and do not exceed the maximum block memory size (These are clearly blocks, not parcels, entire blocks). Also, I came across one of my old wallet files that was not named wallet.dat and was unusually named and the same as the bitmap file but with a different extension. Why?
Is anyone with knowledge able to elaborate on the above questions?

Hello.
Does anyone suggest a more active platform that may be more engaged to assist users with bitcoin technical support? If so, please suggest the platform that I may try to seek assistance from. Thank you.

I do know that I can generate the address from the key as is but I tried to import the private key to a wallet and it said that it must be compressed to import? Also, it requires a signature since it's P2PKH. Also, the block reward for mining it suppose to be 50 BTC that generates a new block. So, I also want to mine it if I can.

I recently found my Base58 (P2PKH) private key and need help compressing my key to WIF format and also signing the transaction.
What do I do or how do I accomplish this task? The key is 51 characters and is verified to be the key to my address.
