1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the most secure BTC futures exchange with good trading volume? on: April 09, 2024, 01:19:35 PM
Hello,

I'm looking for a reputable exchange that offers BTC futures with good volume on quarterly/delivery contracts

I currently use bitmex but their delivery contract volume is so low - its highest per 24h is 3-4M$

I'm aware of binance and okex they seem to have good products with high volumes but would like to know if there are more out there?

Thanks

Deribit is the best, the biggest and the cheapest.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in Bitcoin, for long time Holding on: February 27, 2024, 12:26:23 AM
There are many types of Bitcoin investors, some invest for long-term holdings, while others invest for short-term holdings. But one thing is true, those who invest in Bitcoin for short term are never able to achieve anything big. On the contrary, they face more losses.

every Bitcoin investment should be long-term. Because we have seen that even at the end of 2023 the price of bitcoin was 42k and as the year 2024 falls, the price of bitcoin has crossed 50k and currently the price of bitcoin is 52k. So now consider that those who invested in Bitcoin in 2023, when the price of Bitcoin was hovering between 26k and 27k, have already received double returns. So those who have been patiently holding Bitcoin since then have already reaped double the return on their investment.

Now another big opportunity is going to come in front of us. When the price of Bitcoin will increase much more than that. So I would say, those who haven't invested in Bitcoin yet, make a final decision to invest in Bitcoin for lone time Holding now and hold until the next ATH. You invest in Bitcoin and keep your Bitcoin holdings safe, because the next bull market is going to have the power to change your life. So just Hold bitcoin for long time.

Totally BS, and the ones investing from end of 2021 so much longer then 2023 bought at 65k still are not at their entry price. So what are you saying now Huh How longer investments how better??? NO it depends all at your entry price  thats all  !!
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Must you lose before you gain in Bitcoin investment? on: February 14, 2024, 12:02:26 AM
Questions like this has popped out in several occasions and arguments concerning Bitcoin investment. My friends will say you must lose before you gain or rather have more experience investing in Bitcoin. If its how it work, Bitcoin isn't for a low income earner as well as not gonna make you rich when you can't invest something tangible to it. On the other hand people are been made big and wealthy in same program. What does it in tell, cos am quite sure people had already known what's going to happen in the market in the nearest future to give them the strong mindset to invest porously. My biggest fear is losing my hard earn to something as volatile, vulnerable and uncertain as btc. What's the possibility you invest without losing. Is it guaranteed in this kinda market?

It depends how you invest in Bitcoin. If you only buy the coins you have the risk loosing money. There are derivatives strategies on BTC so that you can always make money. It is a zero risk construction.
Their are so many different constructions to make from zero risk till high risk, it depends how you want to invest in it.
Invest in BTC with no underlying strategy is pure gambling.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saudi Arabia 1M BTC BUY !! on: January 24, 2024, 02:43:40 PM
There is a rumour going on about an potential $500 billion investment into BTC by the Saudi governments, As we know today BTC just dropped below $40k. I am having a very strong feeling that this would be the perfect time to invest, What are your thoughts about this and price predictions for next week if the this "rumour" becomes a reality?

There was a rumor that when all the ETF's were aproved the Bitcoin price would increase a lot.
And have you seen it?? :-)
By the way all the big parties dont buy or sell via exchanges, they do it OTC so it will not affect the prices.
5  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do not use more than 2x leverage on: January 21, 2024, 10:44:20 PM
I am referring to Vitalik Buterin, one of the ethereum founders post on Twitter that states that people should not use more than 2x leverage.

Don't use >2x leverage. Just don't.

It is one of the things he listed as a financial advice. As a trader, what do you think about it? We set some money aside for trading and as for me I still use up to 2.5x leverage for bitcoin to open a long position.

I think using this low leverage is good for traders. But investors should not use leverage at all. Investors should even supposed not to leave coins on exchanges but moved the coins to a noncustodial wallet.

This is also not applicable to many coins that are very volatile in a way that 1x leverage can even lead to liquidation of asset. See what happened to TRB recently that fall from almost $700 to $125.

It depends on how much money you have in your account.
When there is 50k you can even do a 1k trade with 50x leverage. It is al about the margin and not the leverage!
6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is risky, be conscious on: August 27, 2023, 12:34:03 PM
What would be your advice for those wanting to trade as a newbie?
Trading is a science, and therefore the more you know, the better your performance, but it is not like physics and mathematics, where one + one equals 2, but is based on unknown variables, and therefore there is a factor of luck, this factor disappears with skill, practice, and trading for a long time.

Thus, if the beginner does not learn or has sufficient knowledge, the possibility of losing is more than gaining, especially if he does not control his feelings, which is the second most important factor after learning.
So it is the product of learning, risk management and market psychology.

So thats why profs use real classic strategies on crypto like BTC and ETH derivatives. There are several strategies and combinations possible with even ZERO RISK. But all these profs came from banks and know how these strategies are working. In crypto 99,9 % never worked with these kind of strategies or had worked at banks.
There is only one company in Dubai offering these kinds of  ZERO RISK derivatives strategies, look at DCIXX-Capital.
7  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Most important aspect in Bitcoin mining on: August 06, 2023, 11:30:52 PM
yeah price of btc has no meaning to miners.

price of watts burned

vs price of watt earnings is the two part calculation.

derivatives888 talks about non mining in the prior post.

closer to trading not mining.

And in the usa various commercial deals can stretch for as long as three years.

also if you are in the proper states and have large solar arrays you have a essential cost of zero once you paid the array.

We have three arrays

280k
110k
  40x

they do 2 megawatts of “free” power once paid off.

the 110 and the 40 are paid off.

my rates are pretty much set for years to come.

but expansion of the arrays are not going to happen that easy.

Wowww mining Bitcoins and the bitcoin price is not important at all.  Grin
Thats why so many miningscompanies went bankruptcy when the price was at 16k Huh
8  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Most important aspect in Bitcoin mining on: August 05, 2023, 10:34:34 PM
The Bitcoin price !
They are all speaking about electricity costs and prices of hardware but never about the bitcoin price wich is the most important aspect.
With derivatives like options and futures you can make the bitcoin price stable or do your risk management and make a construction at your  bitcoin price break even point.
Last year when the price was less then 20k most of the miningfarms went bankruptcy, they did nothing at all to cover the bitcoin price.
Even small export companies are hedging their valuta risks. How strange is it that big miningsfarms dont do anything about hedging bitcoin prices !!

bitcoin price comes in and out like the tide.

but if you have 3 cent power for the next 5 years in a contract you will make money.

So and where are 5 years contract for the same electricity costs ?? wowww a contract for the year 2028 for 3 cent electricity  Grin
Max is one year. As i told you with derivatives you can make stable bitcoin prices. You can hedge them etc.
