4  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: Breaking Bitcoin Events - Amsterdam, 7 to 16 of June - Updates + AMA on: March 28, 2019, 12:49:01 PM
Hi OP, really good to see an event focused purely on Bitcoin.
Thx!
Think just looking at the names of the speakers gives me a lot of new (to me) faces to look up. How many of these are core devs, if that information's available?
For now not that much, but there is still talk in review.
Chris Belcher's wiki article last month on Bitcoin privacy will probably be discussed again, am actually surprised there are not more privacy related topics, given that we've gotten over (or are getting over) the hump of scalability;) Or is Belcher covering it all (his article's pretty much what you'd call comprehensive!).
Few other talk are currently evaluated by the program committee about the privacy. As a security oriented conference, we require a highly technical talk and security oriented, which not fit with a lot of proposals. That being said, it's a great topic for our other conference : building on bitcoin.

Added talk of Greg Sanders and Kalle Ale in the topic

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [MAID][SIA][STORJ] up/dl test on: August 19, 2016, 09:13:17 PM
Because of newupdate on storj today I wasn't able to run some test before. I used this file to run my test : Name: aaabb.zip, Type: application/zip, Size: 24848251 bytes.

UPLOAD

storj
test 1 : 1:51
test 2 : 0:56
test 3 : 0:56
test 4 : stopped after 7mn, seems stuck but no error message displayed
test 4 bis : 1:14

DOWNLOAD

storj
test 1 : 2:13
test 2 : 1:49
test 3 : 0:27
test 4 : 0:29

My result on download are a bit weird but I think this is because I run 11 drive share on storj in the same time (and there is a lot of activity on the network at the moment). In the other hand upload had a great improvment with the last version.

Stay tuned for other test and feel free to publish your.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [MAID][SIA][STORJ] up/dl test on: August 18, 2016, 02:59:30 PM
thanks for those informations, I'm looking deeper into it. This thread will need a constant update because things are moving fast, I think publish a new test about storj tomorrow, for maid it will be around the 24th August and for SIA as soon as possible
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [MAID][SIA][STORJ] up/dl test on: August 18, 2016, 10:40:39 AM
as you can read there is a limitation of 25Mb file on MAID and, but I didn't wrote it, a limitation of how many PUTS (I trying to figure it out what is it exactly) you can do. SIA & STORJ have both 6 duplication, so you need to upload the file 6 time on SIA network to finish your upload. btw storj release a new version of the software today so it will change soon for them, and SIA do a lot of update too (I'm running on 1.0.1 version)
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [MAID][SIA][STORJ] up/dl test on: August 18, 2016, 10:10:53 AM
Those following test are not accurate for many reason : I don't have a good internet connection, I've several p2p softwares connected at the same time (BTC core, SIA, STORJ share, MAID) and a lot of internet page are open on my computers (>60). MAID alfa only allow file of less than 25Mb so I used this file to run my test : Name: aaabbb.zip, Type: application/zip, Size: 24848251 bytes. I ran storj on debian, sia & maid on w7. I used default setup for all. Those test are for me just a photo of what's available today, but they are all moving fast to improve their software, feel free to run your own test and share it here

(edit : time is expressed in minutes:seconds)

UPLOAD

storj
test 1 : 4:21
test 2 : >8:16, canceled
test 3 : 1:00
test 4 : 2:10

maid
test 1 : 1:25
test 2 : 1:30
test 3 : 1:30
test 4 : 1:38

sia

test 1 : ~17:00 file show up in my hosted list, GUI bug (file deleted after more than 1 hours without be used by siad)
test 2 : ~8:00 file show up, after more than 1 hour file seems not totally uploaded I still can delete it, but I can download it
(bored I didn't ran more test)

18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The answer to the question what the final coin amount of Ethereum will be on: February 02, 2016, 12:22:30 PM
Thanks for your posts zmhaha
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The answer to the question what the final coin amount of Ethereum will be on: January 31, 2016, 12:02:30 AM
It is annoying to constantly answer the question what the total amount of Ether(eum) will be. There will be no final amount.

I created this thread to show how many Ether will be created in the next 100 years. Year 0 = 2015.

As you see, there are created exactly 15,626,576 Ether each year (it is 26% of the originally created 60,102,216 Ether).

Nice results, where is the formula?

POW will end this year, but nowhere atm is noticed the POS reward, so I really wonder how did you get those result ...
