Marseille won thanks to an early (own)goal and failed to added another one, yet they were able to not concede any which makes them feel like victorious. I mean congratulations to Marseille but I am sceptical about them returning to their previous good form, it looks to me like a lucky shot that is hard to be repeated in the next time facing PSG in Ligue 1 or even against another top team. The teams in the Premier League can be quite difficult to play against, everyone wants to maintain a good spot so they don't get relegated to the Championship league so most team Wolverhampton have played in that tournament are more tougher than the ones they've played so far in the Caraboa Cup, atleast for this early stage.
Although I was suprised by how the beat Everton, I don't know if they're being motivated on trying to win the Caraboa Cup only, if they can channel same energy to the Premier League it would go a long way in helping them recover their form in that tournament, losing 5 games is a big setback and they need to recover as quick as possible.
Wolves played better in the EFL, but still, even if they are able to reach the round of 16, I am sure they will not be able to win that trophy. So, if they are able to put more effort in the EPL, at least win a game or even stick to draws, it will be better for them. But starting a season with 5 losses in a row is not encouraging at all. They need to do better. Wolves and Aston Villa are the only two winless teams this season. Aston Villa have drawn three and lost two, but Wolves have lost all five. This is why they're surprisingly bottom of the league. They need to recover quickly and make up for it in the upcoming matches, or they could be bottom of the Premier League by the end of the season, which is a very dangerous situation. They'll be away against Tottenham, and their chances of getting three points in the next match are extremely slim.
