Man, this coin has the potential to go through the roof. If I were running a dispensary right now here is what I would do: Step 1: Align with a collective of other dispensaries in CA, AZ, CO, and WA Step 2: Buy 1 million CANN each Step 3: Start accepting CANN at the peg. Film it, post it on YouTube, blast it on social media. Show proof of the CANN actually being accepted. Step 4: Unload the CANN when it skyrockets to meet the peg. Let's say a dispensary ends up with 50 customers a day buy 1 gram each with CANN (an estimate I would think is pretty high). At current value, that would mean that they are losing maybe $1,000 a day in revenue accepting something worth a penny for something they could get $20 for. In a year, they would lose $365,000 in potential revenue if the price stayed the same. But if the price raised to even $1, their loss over the year would reduce to $18,250 while the value of the CANN they held increased to a million dollars. It's a goddamned no-brainer. So the question becomes, would the price rise? There has yet to be a successful asset-backed crypto. People don't believe Uro is real and that you can really purchase Urea with it. Also, people don't believe CANN will ever really be accepted at dispensaries. Uro skyrocketed in price when people briefly believed it was real. The same will happen for CANN, but unlike Uro, it won't be some unfamiliar foreign entity with crappy websites and shady backers. Real people will be able to walk into the dispensaries, film themselves making a purchase and share it with the world. It will be eminently verifiable. In my opinion, once the process is verified, the market will freak the fuck out and the price will skyrocket towards the peg. Until dispensaries get on board, this won't happen. Until there is proof, this won't happen. But if 10 big name dispensaries in the key states got behind this, took a position in CANN, and then verified the peg? They could make millions in a matter of months, weeks or days. For the love of god, dispensary owners, get on this and lets all make some fucking money! You could take a million coin position for like $10,000 and there is a damn likely chance you could turn that into millions with one fucking YouTube video of you accepting CANN! Possibly within days! It is essentially an opportunity unlike any I've ever seen.

Is it time for a community takeover yet?

Beyond giving us a better price, which makes our tournament rewards more appealing and spreading the word easier, anon in a gambling app is actually a pretty good feature for a gambler. Laws on the matter of online gambling are different all over the world, and people living in places with not great laws could very much be interested in such functionality from a very practical perspective. While anon is a darling of the altcoin industry, it's not just a gimmick. It is something that could have real utility for users of Minerals.

Oh look, it's Fuddy McFud.
Lol. I preder Fuddrick F. Fuddenstuffs. What do you mean, what did not go well.
Some admin didn't switch servers like they were supposed to and they couldn't handle the traffic. So no one could bet. The caster had to keep apologizing and pointing out that there was no betting and that it was a letdown but won't it be cool when it works. They couldn't contact the admin. An honest mistake I guess, people are unreliable what are you going to do, it just made the whole thing come off as unprofessional and disorganized. Not the launching point I was hoping for. Not really confidence building, but I am still holding my coins. It's a fair point that it is still a minerals sponsored tourney which still spreads awareness. It just didn't really accomplish the main goal I feel we were all hoping it would do, show the world some kick-ass betting action. We''ll get em next time.

Wow. So that did not go well at all.

Hey all. Gotta say I am loving this coin's potential and the measured prioritization of the devs. I watched some of Crayon's test last night and wanted to post some feedback. I had a great time watching. The betting mechanics, even in their current raw form, were entertaining and addictive. Below are my general thoughts on the state of the coin and feelings on what is needed to take us to the moon. I want to qualify this by saying I think the devs are doing a great job, MineralsPR is rocking the communications, and this could be something really big. I'm not asking 'why don't we have these things' but rather sharing what I think it would be great if we did have. So:
- The live.minerals.pro website needs to get proper design and UI love. It looks like a slightly modified unoriginal template and the first thought when visiting is 'this looks amateurish'. The tournament site is so slick and epic, it's a real let down to see the actual betting site in comparison. Obviously, the devs have rightly been focusing on functionality, but I think we are getting to the point where proper branding and design are going to become critical. This site needs to look and feel futuristic and sleek. We're ready to invite the masses and we need to put out the good china.
- The betting is awesome, but not all that intuitive. There should be some brief explanation on the page without having to visit other tabs. Underneath the addresses that you send your bets it should say something like 'Send Minerals to this address to bet on _____ at _____ odds.' The user shouldn't have to intuit what the addresses mean or leave the page for a separate tab to understand.
- The design should behave and feel like a video game. There needs to be some graphical representation of how many minerals have been bet and some exclamatory action upon completion of a round. Think about Halo or other video games that give some sort of pleasant sound and affirmation when something happens. 'Headshot'. 'Combo'. 'Achievement Unlocked'. We need to feel like that. There should be some sort of visual effect along the lines of '100 Minerals Bet'. '1,000 mineral bet!'. 'Alpha-Dog wins and 17,089 min go to the bettors!'. Give me a highlight stat, if even briefly. I'm not saying record it forever, but let's have a little pomp and circumstance around the betting and the outcomes. Even if just for a few moments, I want winning to feel like getting a free life for the winners and like losing a life for the losers.
- Proof of Developer is the new buzzphrase in cryptos. I understand why devs would want to remain anonymous, and I think our devs have proven they are in this for the long haul and doing it the right way. But if there is any way there can come to be a developer face for this that is a provable real human being, it would help the value. If none of the current devs want outed, they should reach out to and bring someone new who could be the face of the devs.
- Anon. Anonymous transactions are the darling of the industry. Let's find a way, whatever it is. This will bring attention to us, and based on last night, even in the raw unpolished form, once people check us out they are going to be interested and inclined to get involved. We just need them to get curious in the first place. - Keep the realms of betting coming. DOTA and LoL next? Great! After that? Classic sports. I want to be able to bet minerals on hockey games next season. I want to be able to make bets on the next pitch in a baseball game, just like I could in a Vegas sports book. I looked into it briefly, and it looks like there are services out of Vegas that could serve as 'Oracles', providing info on sports stats that are measurable. I'm sure there are box score APIs out there and such. If we kick off with this tournament, follow up quickly with DOTA and LOL betting, anon shortly thereafter and real sports betting next? Frickin' moon. Any way, those are my thoughts. Take them for what they are worth from someone who hasn't had to program a damn thing. Just a little user feedback and what I'd like to see. Keep up the good work.

Yeah, that's a dope idea.

So has bittrex frozen trading on this coin or what? 20 minutes with no volume?
No it is called a standstill. People do not want to sell and people are waiting to buy. If the wallet ends up working correctly there will be a massive pump, if not it will go down harder. http://stream1.gifsoup.com/webroot/animatedgifs/239473_o.gif

Wow, dev decimates confidence in the coin. Well played.

why the fuck would I hide my starcraft 2 bets. Not the bets so much as what you do with the winnings and how much financial privacy and utility the coin has in addition to betting. Gambling is also a tricky legal area in certain places. Plus, anon is the investor darling now. If it could be realized quickly and efficiently it can only serve to draw more attention to the real strength of the coin - we're about to take the eSports world by storm.

One word and one digit: Cool deal. Don't forget classic sports either. Using Vegas sports lines as the oracle should be eminently doable (says the guy who isn't building anything). Haha. Not trying to be greedy. Just super pumped at the potential of this coin. Keep up the good work!

So what's on the menu for between now and August 2nd, development-wise? As others have said, if there is any way anon can be implemented in the 8 days between now and the tournament, that would be amazing. The one-two punch of the big tournament spreading word AND announcing anon features would send this coin soaring. Even if it can't be implemented in that timeframe, if solid plans to implement with a definite roadmap and timeline could be announced by that day, that would be awesome and have much the same effect. Anon is the second most popular request in the poll and obviously the most prized feature in alts right now. This tournament will be a debut to the world in many ways, so let's take full opportunity and put this coin on the map in a BIG way. Let's either implement anon or have a clear timeline to do so!
You guys are doing great, loving the dedication and the end product. Keep up the awesome work!
