I'm still accumulating XST at these cheap prices. I think 2015 is the year of XST!

Definitely. Hondo has delivered top quality so far. Stealthsend will change the world.

I am really excited for the future of this coin. New wallet complete. Other items being developed as we speak. This coin is way undervalued.

How is the development of XBridge going? Are there any key milestones coming up?

Thanks,

G.

Can someone in the know explain the difference between Blocknet and SuperNet?

It is very encouraging to see BitNation selecting BlockNet as a partner over SuperNet, but it would be great to understand why.

Thanks,

G.

You're making the assumption that BitNation 'selected' blocknet.
I don't think SuperNet opened its doors to BN. SuperNet is very picky and focused on its trajectory.

Regardless of SuperNET's choices (of which I'm completely unaware), Bitnation considered a very wide range of technologies (and the people developing them) before choosing the Blocknet and Horizon. Susanne Tarkowski Tempelhof is especially well connected.

Is there a list of the wide range of tech they passed over?

No. But Susanne Tarkowski (CEO of BITNATION) said this was the case - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7aY8pIMI7c

Solid wallet and solid anon take time.

Agree. XST has made slow progress, but at least when something is released it is real quality.

This is why the Dev is not rushing the full Anon solution. It will take time, but ultimately be the best.

Personally, I have SDC and XST in my portfolio. Just more XST as it was my first coin.

All the best.

Yes, just started staking coins and I just love that new wallet  Smiley

I'm also really impressed by the speed to confirm transactions. It was really fast to withdraw from bittrex and confirmed on my wallet.

2 things [...] i'd like some discussion going on this are :
1. user adoption. (marketing,promotion,niche/users definition and efforts)
2. the blockchain size.

1. I think we need a detailed marketing plan, but I think it is something we need to do as a community. If anyone has any ideas on how to promote XST, we should discuss them.

Personally, I think a professional video promo would help raise awareness of the wallet.

More words from Devs here please.Me and new investors dont care about slack. Smiley

I've fixed 22 wallet bugs since the last beta release. This was a complete Qt re-design that we outsourced to a non-cyrpto Qt dev. He left some bugs related to his not understanding fully how the wallet should function as well as some bugs specific to different platforms. I have eight bugs left in the queue right now. I see those bugs being completed early next week, at which point I'll make a "release candidate". When the release candidates test without bugs, I'll make a full release and open the source.

We have about eight or nine beta testers who have been extremely helpful. You were invited to join the beta testers, but I'm not sure you ever did. The invitation is still open to you as far as I'm concerned.

There are no secrets in development. PM me through slack and I'll give you the best answer I can. If I say I don't know when something will be done, it means that I don't know how long it will take me. Right now I'm focusing on the redesigned wallet with Sascha, whom I consult on every level of design.

XST is going to have the best wallet ever !!!

So any news about ETA of new wallet folks?

The wallet is currently in Beta. Debugging is continuing everyday. Progress is being made every day. It is looking great now. I can't provide a date for release, but I can say it is looking very promising.

If a person really needs to conceal that sort of activity, then they will make the effort to make sure each tx goes to a new address. Period. End of story.

No stirring intended.

As for a person who needs to conceal that type of activity, I would argue that for commercial reasons this applies to most merchants (i.e. where a lot of transaction volume will come from in future years).

Anyway it was genuine. I hold some DRK. I will leave now to prevent anyone else accuses me of having false intentions.

hey c'mon, legit question there. He runs a business, not software

+1

The answer is that if you run a business and advertise a particular address for receiving money, then clearly that address is not anonymous (because you advertised it).

So, the convention for serious retailers like Dish and Overstock who use payment processors is to supply a unique address to each new sale.

Presumably the receipts can then be anonymised by the Darkcoin network and consolidated at holding addresses, so there's no way of your customers (or more importantly, your commercial competitors) following the trail from a payment address to your main "deposit accounts".

Conversely, it goes without saying that with bitcoin, that is altogether completely possible. (In fact it might be an instructive exercise for someone to make a purchase from one of the big retailers who accept bitcoin and attempt to discover their main holding addresses. Some of them do hold bitcoin).

P.S. XPY dumping continuing. It's now becoming established in the 3rd decimal place.

Really useful answer. Thanks.

FYI - I was not spamming. It is a genuine question. I never once mentioned Stealth Addresses. Stealth Addresses form only a small part of any anon solution.

Good luck.

I would like to improve my understanding of the pros and cons of various anon technologies.

If I set up an online business that I want to be private, using Darksend it will still be obvious that I am suddenly receiving lots of coins, right?

G.

Are you foolish enough to reuse the same address?

So the answer is I would require multiple addresses?
