Changing my username wouldn't solve this issue. I've PMed theymos (once in mid 2024, once 5 days ago) and I've waited a couple business days since I understand we all have lives. It's about post history and account status too if possible. After realizing everything I did improve privacy to the best I could during mid 2024.

To confirm, I suppose the next step is to change the title to include “@theymos”? I didn’t want to come across as annoying to him but it seems to be what a few people have suggested.

I have an issue related to privacy I would like to speak in PMs. I recently thought of a plan but rather not go through with it until I am aware of everything. It's been an issue for around 7 months now. I was told to create a thread here after I created a thread in the help section.

Yup, for a long time I couldn't find my first ever PM I sent, I thought bitcointalk was deleting PMs after 6 months, until I realized PMs that were 6 months old stayed still. Then up until now I thought it was deleted by the other user.

Now I just realized there's "Pages". Aaaaaaand there it was.. Wow

I'm also glad I didn't find it out at the time since now I remember wanting to find it again to post on a thread to prove a point (I've done similar for years always, if the info wasn't doing any harm towards anyone). Although in my eyes it seems completely harmless, I became quite aware that this forum doesn't like PMs being posted publicly, including if the PMs is completely harmless to anyone.

It's been officially 3 business days, no reply from Theymos and I see he's been posting today.




Yup, my request is purely about privacy. I was a dumbass when I was a newer member and I did make an attempt during mid 2024 but no avail.

I suppose I should now create a topic in Meta about this?

That's good to know, I remember sending a message as a newbie rank and it didn't even allow me to send a message. I'm going to hope for a reply this time in regards to the issue I have.

During mid 2024 that was my idea, but unfortunately it was ignored even though the issue I have is serious to me. I only sent to one staff member though, I suppose maybe that is part of the issue? I sent another message via the PMs it's the least I can do.

Is there any way I could send an email to bitcointalk administrators privately? Spent a couple of minutes searching I only see the account recovery email from 2021? But my request has nothing to do with account recovery so I wouldn't need this one.

It's really insane, I'm now some sort of "og veteran" on websites and games i've played.

I really do hope the best for this community. I've been really inactive (more active as of the past few weeks) but I'm looking forward to considering the Marketplace section again since that area offers jobs for people and I am going to need to hire people eventually. That may be my new purpose for being active if I can set up everything for my new business. Still surprised that discord isn't really used here since everything nowadays seems so oriented around using discord, but glad it's not tbh. Having a forum allows people to use their brain and thinking rationally within our each reply, versus the instant messaging app lol.

Well, I could've invested in BTC when it was 60K just a year ago but I decided to move on and sell my crypto for fiat instead. I didn't expect it to hit $100K but the election really did do something. It was basically most of what I had back then, I really didn't want to risk losing it too. Good job to all those who stood the test of time and proved us wrong and I hope you enjoy your newfound gains!!!

It's been approx half a year since I made my decision. I am coming back into crypto for a little bit and as much as I want to invest, I know it's pretty much at an all time high which is scary to me.

If the person lives close to where you live, then that's fine.. But as we all know IRL will always be better than online for all the reasons, the interactions and experience overall is way better unless your date wants to play video games or watch a movie or something similar to that.

Besides the whole point of IRL dating being better for a number of reasons, The amount of traps and catfishes on the internet are crazy too dude.

I have tried the portal but unfortunately it requires an already existing FTX account, which only the company owner has. I wasn't a FTX user.

I did send FTX emails previously though and did remind the company owner about the site. It's better than nothing but still a pretty low chance on my end. That was all I had done.

I've lost what's around $20K in crypto today because of these losers. Unfortunately I'm being ghosted by the company owner who would be receiving the $ back since my money had went to his FTX wallet. He has kept in touch with me for a while. I reminded him about this a couple of days before this too but I was ghosted. If anyone who has lost money to FTX is here and has gotten it back please do let me know. Just want to know the truth of whether I have been swindled or not(I'm already expecting the worst, I don't have my hopes up). I've already accepted my loss a year ago and continued to live life, but rode along for the little hope that there was left and thought about this every once in a while. I've learned my lessons from that moment and I hope I never repeat my mistakes with money in the future.

Going off my past experience the dude helped explain my situation and I was able to understand it fully from Rollbit's perspective because of him. Everything was absolutely straightforward with our previous interactions and he also PMed Razer to help with the situation, which is all great and he was also trying to help recover the money I lost from FTX after the Rollbit situation was over. This is true and TOS should always be looked at, especially when you're trusting other people/businesses. Unfortunately in my case, I lost whats around $20K today because of my own fault. It was horrible back then but at some point (In this case it was very quickly for me) I did realize it was my fault, and Rollbit had to act what seemed very irresponsible to most people who are unfamiliar with how these gambling sites worked purely for legal reasons. Holydarkness has far more experience with them than we do and we shouldn't hate on the man for speaking the truth about our situations.

There's a whole lot more I can say but truly it doesn't make sense. I fail to understand how he mocks people or whatever accusations are like that and I highly doubt he's being paid by the casinos for these posts defending them. He is only being honest, and eventually you're gonna have to be a man and accept defeat. Eventually, you're literally going to have to accept that you've lost the case, even if it is painful to you. At least we get to learn from it. And I'm 100% sure that if he sees a gambling company in the wrong then he will call them out in a respectful manner, which I can bet has happened before. I can only see him being "paid by casinos" if he's in a signature campaign, which anyone with a high rank can apply to those.

Studying math as we speak! Semester hasn't started yet but I'm looking for A grades. I worked hard and got into the best professor's math class for the course im taking. Just enjoying this website for a little bit, I try to check up once every 1-3 months but it never lasts very long. Does remind me that I should stop distracting myself and go back to studying lol.

I gotta point this out, its been a really long time. So much has happened to us all over the past decade and many things have changed throughout the times.

Ay as much as this gets said, be grateful for every moment Someday you're gonna look back and see this as the "good ol days" "golden days" and whatever else.

Early this year it sucked. Horrible

Around the midst of the year it became better, and is still increasingly better as of now.
