What a mess. Chelsea goalkeeper just gave himself a red card on the 5th minutes for an unnecessary tackle on Mbeumo. Chelsea ia playing the game with one man down and this is a good advantage to United in order for them to take the lead. A lot of pressure from United on Chelsea defense but will they be able to find the back of the net soon.
Very unprofessional display by Robert Sanchez, the pressure he has created after he was sent off has led to Chelsea conceded two goals which came from Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro. I know that Manchester United will utilize this opportunity very well because since both teams are rivals, any side that has advantage in their meetings always makes judicious use of it. Chelsea has given themselves freely to banter by Manchester United fans because they have been criticized in their loss against Bayern Munich during the Champions League group stage match and now, they are to face another humiliating defeat by their premier league rivals Manchester United. Manchester United fans will surely be very happy with this win. They will basically shade Chelsea fans after this game.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin’s fixed supply cap create inequality over time? on: September 20, 2025, 04:03:40 PM
Those who acquired bitcoin in early days got larger share in less price. Later when there are very less bitcoins left to be mined and prices are astronomically high, it will be hard to acquire even fractions of bitcoins. Where is equality concept associated with bitcoin then ?
Which equality concept are you talking about, do you know how many people that owns the bitcoins that has already been mined? then is there a restriction on the remaining bitcoins that are yet to be mined? everyone has the privilege to buy bitcoin even if it's a fraction of it. About those who bought bitcoin earlier how many of them are still holding till date? perhaps some persons must have even sold their portfolio when the price of bitcoin skyrocketed. If we are to check old wallets that are still holding, they are very few wallets, and no one knows if some persons have lost access to their bitcoins because some people that bought bitcoin when it was cheap has lost their seed phrases which means that some wallets will remain dormant forever. Don't get it twisted, it's only few people that are rich in bitcoins.

Chelsea has been able to maintain a good performance but they are no match for bayern, most of my friends that are Chelsea supporters saw it coming..some still believed that Chelsea might have a chance but that was an impossible thought...in my bet I picked bayern to win without hesitating because I knew that they were not going to win bayern...although they did their best but it wasn't enough
Hahaha bro don't let them pounce on you please, like Truth be told Chelsea is not as good as claimed by their fans, after the FIFA club world cup they won they now feel themselves as real Madrid or maybe in the Bayern Munich that Woop their ass but little did they know that they where just fortunate and I really don't understand what came over Paris Saint Germain in that game, at least now the season is already started let's see how good they can be, or maybe they should just pray the made it through the group stage in the UEFA Champions League because the group they are into is really not nice for them.
One thing I like about Chelsea is that they don't joke around when they get the opportunity to win a trophy. They might joke around during the domestic league games but let them just reach final in any competition, they will make sure they win it, that is why they could win 2 trophies last season namely the UEFA Conference League and the FIFA club world cup. I agree with you that Chelsea isn't really that good and their fans tries to hype them whenever they are performing well but i just feel that Chelsea has long term consistency syndrome. You will see them performing well but before you know it, they have started losing form again. Chelsea losing to Bayern Munich yesterday is not the end of the road for them, it's just the first game of the group stage matches so let's wait and see how they will perform in subsequent games.
4  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: What should be your primary goal with your bitcoin investment? on: September 19, 2025, 05:51:20 PM
One common mistake that a lot of people make is that they step into that market without having any targets...Even though you are focusing on long term investments this doesn't mean that you should just accept  whatever that comes, have a target and when you hit it do not get greedy...this is another thing to take not of, it's possible that you might end up losing if you start exceeding your target
I don't agree as far as Bitcoin accumulation is concerned there is no amount of Bitcoin that an individual will acquire that will be enough what you should be talking about is your financial limitations but to be giving yourself a target to meet is like putting limitations to your bitcoin accumulation journey. Bitcoin is a future currency that is still yet be fully appreciated by many even those into it so now that Bitcoin is still available and easily accessible it good that an investor should acquire as much as your finances can allow you.

I think you have a misinterpretation of what @DaNNy001 is trying to say because from what i understand, the target he meant is about the profit and not the amount of accumulation. Someone can set a target that if he is able to get a profit of x2 of their total accumulation that he will take profits from it. Then let me come to your own perspective which is centering on limiting oneself from accumulating more if the target of accumulation has been met. Of course, setting a target of accumulation is good because it helps you aim at a figure, and it also helps you to be steadfast while accumulating which in such case if you are using the DCA method to accumulate you won't like to miss out any time of your DCA except your income is no longer coming as usual. If you reach your target of accumulation and still decide to over accumulate beyond your target, it's still good but let it be that you have met the target you aimed at which is how to know how progressive you have been in your investment.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2025/26 Season on: September 19, 2025, 05:22:55 PM
The good news now is that Marcus Rashford is redefining himself. The news broke recently that Barcelona was considering terminating his contract but it turned out to be fake. The club seems to be impressed not just with his performance on the pitch but with his attitude and professionalism. His two goals yesterday were all classic which shows that the English player is working hard on his fitness.

Manchester United seems to be under a spell. Almost all the players they rejected are turning out big in their new clubs. Rashford has made it clear that he is happy in Barca and wants to stay there for a long time.

Football fans can be very funny sometimes because am just wondering why everyone now praising Markus Rashford simply because he won the match for Barcelona against Newcastle yesterday. For some time, Markus Rashford have been facing criticism over his inability to score goals for Barcelona which made a lot of people begin to speculate a possible sideline for him by Hansi Flick, of course i also criticized him and despite his performance for Barcelona in the champions league game, i will still give him some time if he can maintain consistency before i will shower my praises on him. But that notwithstanding, he was really classical in his finishing yesterday and i commend that and also wish him more breakthrough in his future matches.
It's true that Manchester United players have been performing better after they left the team but some of those players also contributed to Manchester United's woes. When some of them were still in the club they were basically earning huge salaries while their input to the success of the club was zero. Maybe, the reason they are performing very well in other clubs is just so that it won't look like they the cause of Manchester United's misfortunes and also for them to secure their positions in their new clubs.
6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Beyond afford to lose why our small investments really matters ........... on: September 19, 2025, 03:52:48 PM
''Investing with what you can afford to lose'' do not really mean investing very little amount but it means an amount that won't bother you if you lose it and it comes from your discretionary income, and everyone has their level of discretion. Someone can have 1 million as a discretionary income while another person can have 10,000 as his discretionary income but you might be thinking that the person that is investing 1 million is not investing an amount he can afford to lose but that is not true because your basic income determines how huge discretionary income. If your basic income is 100,000 you can comfortably invest 1000 which you can afford to lose. No investment is small; everyone is just investing at the level of their own discretion. Just that those who invest very huge amount from their discretionary income has advantage of big proceeds over those with low amount. Let's take for instance, someone who bought 1 bitcoin and someone that bought $50k worth of bitcoins cannot expect same return on their investment.

After Chelsea lost against Bayern Munich yesterday I was expecting a lot of them fans to come up with their usual defensive mechanism but they went silent which is why I couldn't troll them but coming to this comment I think they should just remain silent and don't fucking say a word cause they aren't a good team despite all them gra gra this season.
Chelsea fans has no other options then to accept defeat even before the game cause they believed that they aren't capable of standing the force of Harry Kane and Oliseh who appeared to be the engine to the Munich team last night.

It's just normal for football fans to defend their teams when they lose, that's just the passion of a fan but if Chelsea players are silent due to their loss against Bayern Munich, it doesn't mean that they lack what to defend themselves with. Besides Chelsea played from away so it is understandable that Bayern Munich got more upper hand than Chelsea. Harry Kane and Michael Olise are really outstanding in the squad and both players have been doing a good job for Bayern Munich since the season started so there was no way Chelsea would have stopped them especially Harry Kane who we know that he is a goal scoring machine. Always, let me give a savage statement as well, Chelsea fans should bury their head in shame until they win their next match.

Are you a Chelsea fan? If yes, are you also going to join hands with your guys to defend a team that spent so much on players last season when they don't play well, there is nothing like Bayern Munich having an upper hand before or their home ground in the champions League because home doesn't play the game. Barcelona won against Newcastle United from away tonight despite Newcastle United playing very well would you say that Newcastle United ground stood against them? I think sentiment is the only thing that makes football fans to keep defending the poor performance of their them when they fail to perform well or lose.

Hahaha, am not a Chelsea fan anyways but am just stating the obvious because it has always been the mentality of most fans to defend their team even when they are not performing well. Barcelona winning Newcastle wasn't easy for them, if you watched the match you can attest to that and if not that Rashford managed to put Barcelona by two goals the match would have been a draw because Newcastle showed good energy which led to the goal they scored at injury time. If not that Barcelona's defense was very professional, they would have overlapped and give Newcastle the privilege to equalize the score. Sure, football fans are very sentimental more especially the die-hard fans that doesn't seem to see anything wrong in the team they are supporting.

9  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Reliable Electricity is Naija is an important key in our economy on: September 18, 2025, 09:27:21 PM
If power supply becomes reliable, businesses would strive more and the the general level pricing of goods and services would be stable; a barber may not need to increase the price of a haircut for example..

What's stopping more investment in power supply?
Power is actually not bad depending on which band you are. If you are in band A you will probably have a better power supply but right now the fee to be on band A is outrageous although I won't be too hard on Nigeria in this area because in developed countries power is not cheat although comparing it to what we have here they are obviously having a better deal .
Business should not always wait for the government there are other sustainable means of power like the solar system. There are businesses in my area that have invested in it and reaping the rewards.

Solar inverters are very costly so you cannot expect someone who is running a petty business like frozen foods and drinks to afford inverters except for big businesses like those that owns supermarkets and those that deals on electrical and home appliances. Those that are in band A uses Service-based tariffs and they enjoy about 20 hours of electricity, but the tariff is approximately ₦209.5 per kWh which is very high. I am in Band A, and we have about 4 ACs, 2 water heaters and 2 refrigerators, I know how much we spend on electricity bills monthly, they really need to reduce the tariffs.

Galatasary inconsistent form has started again in the champions League going down 3:1 in the first half of this game is what I didn't expect, with the quality of players that Galatasary has brought to the team I expected that Galatasary will put up a stronger performance with or without oshimen I expect that Galatasary will put up a better show. This is a very bad result Galatasary is even playing well but there defense line is really bad conceeding three goals in less than twenty minutes.
Same thing they did in the Europa league last season when they lost 4:1 to AZ Alkmar. Galatasaray spent a lot of money in the transfer window just to sign players that can compete in the Champions League games, but it is very obvious that they can only perform in their domestic league and not in the Champions League games. When they scored first against Eintracht Frankfurt i was like this team will really do well but not until E. Frankfurt equalized and scored 3 goals within an interval of less than 10 minutes that's when i realized that the goal scored by Galatasaray was just an initial impression. On the other hand, E. Frankfurt is a team from the Bundesliga, which is far superior to the Turkish super league, so i understand the reason why they were able to equalize the score and took the lead. The second half is underway, let's see if Galatasaray can score or E. Frankfurt scores more goals.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as an asset; subject to tax! on: September 18, 2025, 07:35:59 PM
But why should bitcoin be taxed? for all i know bitcoin is a decentralized asset which is not in the control of the government so why should they be taxing what is not in their custody? Anyways i can say that the only bitcoins that can be taxed are those in centralized exchanges since they can be converted to fiats but for bitcoins that are in non-custodial wallets, it is difficult to tax them because the government does not know who owns them but if it was in centralized exchanges they can know true KYC information.

Harry Kane is the ''torn in the flesh'' of Chelsea, i knew he would score against Chelsea, and he has just gotten a brace and might even make it 3 because the tempo of the game is increasing and the pressure on Chelsea is becoming too much. Anyways, i wouldn't blame Chelsea in this game because they are playing from away, the home team got more advantage than them. Chelsea should just try not to concede more goals, or they better make the score 3:2. Maresca really need to do more work is Chelsea's defense because that is where their problem lies now, though i didn't see much of attacking force from Chelsea's strikers but if the defense was solid, they wouldn't have conceded more than 2 goals.
I'm not surprised that Bayern Munich is defeating Chelsea 3-1 because I know Bayern Munich was the favorite in the match, and the match is playing exactly the way I expected. It would have been nice if Chelsea could score one more goal in the second half so that they could close the goal difference, but I don't see Chelsea doing that in the second half because the match is remaining few minutes for the referee to blow the final whistle.
The game is ovee and it ended 3-1. Chelsea looked weak in this match as they allowed Bayern to hold the ball throughout the game giving them little chance to work out something out of nothing. Kompany has really improved Bayern performance, look at how the players were playing with full confidence. More work is needed to be done on the team.
I think you shouldn't blame Chelsea for allowing Bayern Munich hold the ball throughout the game because that is the football pattern of Bayern Munich, and it is only few clubs in the world that can take possession from Bayern Munich. Vincent Kompany is gradually building Bayern Munich back to their old ways, and I believe if Vincent Kompany continues with his good work at Bayern Munich, Bayern Munich can regain their dominance in the Champions League.

Vincent Kompany have really succeeded in bringing back the glory of Bayern Munich even when he was underestimated at first when he became their manager, but he proved himself worthy of coaching a big team like Bayern Munich and the team is becoming so formidable again. What we should know is that Bayern Munich always finds it easy to win Chelsea whenever they meet and checking the head-to-head you will see that Bayern Munich have won 4 times (the match tonight inclusive) while Chelsea has only won them once, the second time was through a penalty shoot-out in the finals of the Champions League in 2011/12 season. Despite that Bayern Munich has been backward in the Champions League in recent years but they are among the big teams in the Champions League especially during the time of players like Toni Kroos, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Franck Ribery, Thomas Mueller, Arjen Robben, and Mario Gomez. These players really made Bayern Munich great.
13  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Are there still strong holders in our country? on: September 17, 2025, 09:36:00 PM
Sure, there are people who are holding bitcoin for a very long time without tampering with their holdings but i think that the people that are holding more bitcoins are the rich people. I knew of a girl from a very wealthy home who have been holding bitcoins since 2023 when she got the knowledge about bitcoin, and she always post on her social media account how she always uses the DCA to buy bitcoin so i believe since must have gotten a huge portfolio by now depending on how much she has been able to accumulate. About a couple of months ago, a billionaire jokingly asks his daughter to send him some bitcoins so before he told his daughter to send him bitcoins it means that they are holding as well. People are holding stash in bitcoins, but no one will just come openly and tell you that they are holding bitcoins, even some of us in this forum are strong holders. If you scan some people's bitcoins address you will be shocked on how much some person's have stacked in bitcoins.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2025/26 Season on: September 17, 2025, 08:42:00 PM
Yes, the match between Bayern Munich and Chelsea was indeed more exciting. Chelsea had to play more aggressively in the second half to keep the pressure on Bayern Munich's players. Bayern Munich played a very neat and composed ball circulation, allowing the home team to dominate the match.

The second half has begun, and I hope Chelsea's defenders play more cautiously and focused to avoid the mistakes they made in the first half.

In the 20 th minute of the second half, we did not see much of a good performance from chelsea. And in the 63rd minute, Harry kane's second goal gave Bayern Munich a 3 -1 lead. Honestly , I expected a better gameplay from Chelsea today. But they were not  able to perform as expected. Even after being behind 3-1, it is very unlikely  that Chelsea will be able to earn points in the match. Bayern Munich's defense is quite strong. Chelsea is not able to take any advantage in today's match. Munich is going to start their Champions League journey with a win in the home match.

Harry Kane is the ''torn in the flesh'' of Chelsea, i knew he would score against Chelsea, and he has just gotten a brace and might even make it 3 because the tempo of the game is increasing and the pressure on Chelsea is becoming too much. 15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Turkish Super League 2025/26 Season on: September 17, 2025, 07:41:32 PM
The referee couldn't award Fenerbahçe a penalty in the final minute. I think the referee is a coward. He saw the situation clearly from the frontal camera. The referee had a clear view, but he couldn't award the penalty based on the position he saw. VAR reviewed it, but he still didn't. These Turkish referees are useless. Goalkeeper Irfancan made a huge mistake, making the score 2-2, but I don't know how referee Cihan Aydın couldn't award that penalty. Football isn't something to watch in Türkiye.
I think the poor officiating in the Turkish football is getting out of hand, my concern is that why will VAR even review the situation if they don't want to award a penalty because i don't really understand how the VAR functions in the Turkish league because the reason for calling a referee should be in a situation where they see that the referee didn't act as he should which is why it is called Video Assistant Referee but i wonder why they didn't still award the penalty even after the call. On the other hand, I also blame Fenerbahce because they are not performing as they should, even in the last game i saw how weak the team was even when their opponent got a red got that they would have taken advantage of but instead they were so reluctant and didn't show any fighting spirit.

Bayern Munich vs Chelsea encounter will be the hit game in tonight's champions league football and we're expecting to see an interesting game but it might not be how we picture it to be because I'm expecting to see a very tough games. The Blues are visiting the Barbarians that have been ruthless since the beginning of this campaign and I'm sure they are not going to make the Allianz Arena an easy or comfortable place for Chelsea. The Blues have been doing pretty well in the EPL but we can't say they're going to be at their best tonight because I see them as a team that goes off and on and is hard to say they're going to do well in a particular game, now are they going to be at top speed to take on Bayern or are we going to see that slow performance they displayed during the week?

Apparently, Chelsea and Bayern Munich are doing well in their respective leagues despite that Bayern Munich is doing better since they are topping their league table but the tension in the premier league is always bigger as compared the Bundesliga but that notwithstanding, looking at the squad depth of both teams, i can say that Bayern Munich will be at the better side because from the matches they have played so far i see their team work and some of their players such as Harry Kane, Serge Gnabry and Michael Olise are very active in goal scoring. Chelsea's defense is very easy to penetrate, except Enzo Maresca comes up with a strategy to address the lapses of their defense, am afraid but Chelsea might lose to Bayern Munich.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2025/26 Season on: September 16, 2025, 09:53:53 PM
Thrilling results from the Champions League games today as Real Madrid managed to win Marseille by 2:1 after a heated game that almost ended in a draw after Dani Carvajal was sent off in the 72nd minutes but thanks to Mbappe's 81st minute goal that gave them the winning, it was deserved because Marseille tried to maneuver past Real Madrid, if not for a series of repelling attacks by Real Madrid, Marseille almost outsmart them.

In a shocking result was Benfica versus Qarabag FK, never knew that Qarabag could be so strong to come from a 2:1 defeat in the first half to emerge the winner as the match ended 2:3 in their favor. Didn't see that result coming because i know that Benfica was more experienced in the champions league games than Qarabag but it is what it is.

Another thriller match was between Borussia Dortmund and Juventus, just like Juventus' last match against Inter Milan in the Serie A, they also scored many goals today as the match ended 4:4 after some banter moments of scoring and equalizing by both teams until Borussia Dortmund went 2 goals ahead and they were leading by 2:4 but only for Juventus to level the score in added time.

Such a heartwarming performance in the champions league games today as Arsenal earlier won Athletic Bilbao by 0:2 and Union Saint Gilloise won PSV Eindhoven by 1:3. Tottenham was also able to defeat Villarreal by 1:0 and that is how the Champions League matches went today as we anticipate the results of tomorrow's matches.
18  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Freedom Becoming More Expensive? on: September 16, 2025, 09:06:08 PM
If freedom will cost us more than depending on the government, so be it. Greed have eaten deep in our society, and most people in the government are not really serving in the interest of the people as it should be, most people are only concerned about their personal gains and don't care how others are living. Though I don't know how expensive things that aren't from your government cost but I can tell you that it doesn't happen that way everywhere because talking about food, it is even the foods that are gotten directly from a farmer that is cheaper than that of the government because some of the foods are healthier because you are aware of the processes they passed through before becoming a finished goods. Unlike the government that employs different machineries to process these foods which can be contaminated by some chemical substances that can cause health problems. Most of the health problems that people are suffering today are from the foods they eat. In the old days when most of our parents where farmers and depends on their farm produce for food, there were not many health problems. However, no matter how we try to purify the government there will still be bad eggs so it's better to do things at our own dispensation without seeking help from anyone even if it will cost more.
About health, we know that private individuals offer the best health facilities unlike the government, though there are countries that their government have the best help facilities which an individual cannot afford or probably the government placed strict rules that they shouldn't be used by private entities but let us leave the developed countries that their government is still functioning better and talk about the underdeveloped countries, it is difficult for a government in an underdeveloped country to afford amenities that will aid human needs to the best satisfaction so it's always the private individuals that makes provision for those things just that they are costly but yet no amount is too big to pay for freedom and comfort.
For Banks, they have already failed us, and it is difficult to trust them or try to restructure the system such that we can now count on them for the security of our funds. We need decentralization, security and privacy now and that is all that matters in the quest for freedom.
19  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: My advice for newbies in CEX p2p transactions. on: September 15, 2025, 09:13:52 PM
Don't drop your phone number: Some of the marchants will tell you to drop your number so that they can chat with you Incase of issues. Do not drop your number, let every chat to be in the exchange. If you do they might contact you outside the exchange to scam you.
A lot of merchants do request for phone number especially those that has higher exchange rate, i don't see it as a problem though because they just want a way they can reach you easily in case you didn't release the coins. Even if you do not release your phone number but by using FINTECH bank account numbers which most people use their phone number as their account number, your contact details can still be revealed even to a merchant that didn't request for your phone number. Searching for merchants that doesn't request for phone number is very stressful and you might end up meeting a merchant that has much lower exchange rate.

Payment duration: This is optional, you need to check the maximum time for marchants pay within. If you are in a hurry you should consider marchants that meets your criteria with shorter maximum timeframe for payments.
I mostly use those vendors that set their payment duration within 15 minutes because i don't like so much delay while performing p2p transaction. Those people that set their order payment duration within 15 minutes are mostly fast and reliable merchants, just saying from my own experience. Though no matter how fast a merchant might be, it is good to confirm that you have received the payment before releasing your coins because there are some merchants that will tell you to release coin before they even make payments.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2025/26 on: September 14, 2025, 08:48:20 PM
Yamal and Raphinha absence will undoubtedly put Hansi Flick in a bind without key players. I'm not sure Barcelona can perform to their full potential and secure all three points in this situation. Kick off is imminent, and here's their lineup for the match against Valencia.

The key players may be absent but it gives the available players the opportunity to prove themselves by performing well to help Barcelona to win the game against Valencia, though it's not going to be an easy game since Yamal and Raphinha are the regular starters but it is another opportunity for the manager Hansi Flick  to try another formation so that in the nearest future he can drop the best players when they have another game to play. Rashford is there to prove himself today he should be on the score sheet and Barcelona should get all 3 points.

The absence of key players like Yamal and Raphinha creates a chance for other players to step up and prove themselves. You mention the potential for manager Hansi Flick to experiment with new formations, which could help the team in future matches. You specifically mention Rashford's chance to prove himself and score, which could be crucial for Barcelona's success.

I don't know why Hansi Flick didn't play Lamine Yamal in this game but as for Raphinha, he was brought in as substitute in the 48th minute and just shortly after he scored in the 53rd minute and 66th minutes respectively which got him a brace, don't know if he might score a hat trick before the match ends. Femin Lopez also scored a brace, probably between him and Raphinha one should be able to make it a hat trick. It was interesting to see Robert Lewandowski register his name in the score sheet. Rashford didn't prove anything as he lacks the creativity to create scoring opportunities which made Hansi Flick substitute him for Dani Olmo.
