1  Economy / Goods / Re: CryptoVault Titanium Cold Recovery Seed Storage on: May 01, 2018, 07:13:56 PM
I just received my cryptovault a few days ago and am very impressed with the product. A friend of mine is getting 1 for himself after showing him my finished work.

Is it possible to invest in the company?
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I need help !!! boost::filesystem::space: Operation not permitted on: December 03, 2017, 11:25:53 PM
I remember facing the boost::filesystem::space: Operation not permitted  issue once as well. I had to recreate a new folder in the same disk and copied my blockchain data into it and reattempted the synchronization. It worked fine after that. I'm not a 100% sure if this would help solve your problem but might be worth the try. Also make sure that no other application is placing any form of locks on this directory.

If not, from your bitcoin.conf I figured this was set as your datadir "datadir=/media/ancientevil/Storage/BitcoinBlocks" and if this is your HDD with 750 GB if free disk space then it could probably mean a corrupted db when you tried to stop reindex?

Also from https://theboostcpplibraries.com/boost.filesystem-files-and-directories "boost::filesystem::space() retrieves the total and remaining disk space". This is something used to calculate or get the used and available disk space.

Thanks for the reply. Ive been trying for days to fix this. I still have no idea what to do. I am totally surprised how little there is in terms of dev support. I am reformatting my storage drive and removed bitcoin core entirely. I am going to try to reinstall once more and if that fails im off to ethereum. I am wondering if I am wasting my time even trying again with bitcoin. The total lack of help is kind of stunning... Maybe if my question was related to the price  Undecided
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / I need help !!! boost::filesystem::space: Operation not permitted on: December 02, 2017, 05:28:30 AM
Bitcoin Client Software and Version Number: Bitcoin Core 0.15.1
Operating System: Ubuntu 16.04
System Hardware Specs: 2.4 GHz Intel Core CPU with 16 GB RAM and 750 GB free hard drive space.
Description of Problem: bitcoind refuses to start up. Keep getting the same error over and over.
Screenshot of the problem: https://imgur.com/pj2KFrh
debug.log: https://pastebin.com/2LCw5BJt
bitconi.conf: https://pastebin.com/ZsQArYRy

I am a noob trying to get into blockchain development. I have been running my own node for a few weeks with no problem. I shut down bitcoind at the end of each day, I only use it to practice.  I have a SSD boot and a HDD storage drive with 750GB.

Yesterday I started to have problems with starting bitcoind and had to -reindex. I stopped bitcoind and got home today to restart it once again and yet again had to -reindex. I have NO idea why and quite frankly there have been absolutly no helpful tips on the internet regarding this. i hope someone here can help me. I have the entire blockchain on my HDD but I cannot even start bitcoind anymore. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN][ZOOZ] La’Zooz: Decentralized Collaborative Transportation Web on: October 19, 2014, 09:31:10 PM
This seems very interesting! I have a couple questions though.

1) If I run this android app as I drive to school/work/etc will I earn Zooz?

2) How secure is the data link? (ie can a snooper intercept my movement data, and if not how can I be sure)

3) If I mine zooz on my android app where will my coins go? I currently dont have a CP or MC wallet, would I have to create one?

4) When is the crowd sale? How can I potentially participate?

5) What incentive would people have to use zooz over say, uber, in cities that arnt hostile to services like uber?

6) How exactly does proof of location/ride/w/e it was work?

7) How secure would the network be if its being mined on android phones?

I look forward to the communities and project leaders answers Cheesy Cheesy

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CLOAK] Cloakcoin | No Premine | X13 | Decentralized Market and PoSA on: October 03, 2014, 09:35:02 PM
Can i just say , if you caught this boat early, you could have easily made 20-30 BTC from a 1 or 2 BTC investment when cloak was released on Bittrex.  I myself walked away with around 50BTC just dealing with cloak in the early days, the issue here is some people bought at peak 100-200k or other used the early profit to rebuy at peak which was a silly things to do , really silly...
Your mistake was marrying the coin and if you paid attention to  the graphs which clearly showed cloak bubble already happened at that time and it was way to risky to buy at that stage you wouldn't be pissed off now.

Now This post is filled with hate and bitterness , cloak was a good coin to begin with its just some of you invested in the wrong stage when others already cashed out.

The majority of the post clearly show a lot of immaturity and is on the border line ridiculous.
Learn from your mistake and move on.

Thanks for taking my 10BTC like from a baby.

Hope you enjoy your profit, i have to pay off the bankloan in a couple of years.

I have to say this is comical LOL im sorry jorr but man was that dumb lol

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official Anoncoin chat thread (including history) on: September 26, 2014, 08:32:33 AM
So whats this coin all about?
Visit OP and the subsequent links....

Basically its a community which is keen on anonymity. The developers of the Coin are implementing a "technology" called Zerocoin, which would be the ultimate anonymizer as of now. Compared to CoinJoin or Ring Signitures Zerocoin is far more sophisticated. Not to forget i2p which is already compatible with the wallet Smiley
https://wiki.anoncoin.net/Anoncoin_Wiki

Whats the difference between zerocash and zerocoin? As far as im aware SDC is in the process of implementing zerocash into their anon system.

The StealthText app is now live on Google Play. The OP will be updated soon.

How do we obtain a unique identifier??

Assign yourself one. That is a client ID.

Please read the StealthRelay manual to learn how to set up a StealthText pipeline:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/zbou9d56dzzyhkw/StealthRelay.pdf?dl=0

We will have a StealthText web service soon, so you won't need to make your own pipeline in the future.

Thank you!

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperNET - ICO conducted by BTER + ... on: September 19, 2014, 10:42:16 PM
I just stumbled upon this token literally an hour ago. I feel confused. What exactly does this token represent? I might be interested in buying some but how would dividends be paid out? Would we have a wallet address to deposit dividends? So if I buy some tokens on bter and just hodl them there would they be auto converted into w/e their suppose to be after the ICO? I see big sell walls, do those represent the ico price? I dont have a nxt account but want to get into crypto assets, whats the best reference you can point me towards to really understand and learn this stuff. Thank you!

So much FUD & whining here. I'm sure they will announce something soon and everyone will be whining again about the fact they could have done better XYZ.
Looks like a whine-whine situation.

Activity 2. Shill account, dont let it give you false hope. The dev team must go.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CLOAK] Cloakcoin | No Premine | X13 | Decentralized Market and PoSA on: September 15, 2014, 08:20:30 PM
If thedagger is here, please let the community have more involvement in the development process of this coin.  It's clear a lot of people here are talented and willing to help whether it's with development, marketing or PR.

By allowing the community to help you it clears up doubt and rebuilds trust that was lost.  Maybe the ambitions have been too much for a small team to do on their own.  This sounds like a productive solution.

There are still a lot of people who want to see this coin succeed.  Cloak still has a recognizable name and aura about it. If you put pride aside and let us in then together this coin can be the #1 altcoin.
To be honest, I think it's over now and rebuilding trust is not an option anymore. When all the fudders came in, there were still some people trusting the coin and others who just were in to ride the waves (maybe to compensate their losses). But now, there isn't even any volume anymore.

Closing the eyelids of the cold cloak and giving it one last hug. Smiley

All while the devs say or do nothing.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CLOAK] Cloakcoin | No Premine | X13 | Decentralized Market and PoSA on: September 15, 2014, 08:04:53 PM
is "yourmother" a user or a you guys just insulting each other?  Huh
a user.

And while I think it is a cool thought that maybe the devs haven't dumped. I also realize that it is a closed source coin so a dump on their end could be invisible for everyone else and could have been what triggered the peak to fall so far.

TL;DR
Devs could have dumped 10 times over already and no one would know.

Just look at the price right now. Does it make sense? I don't think so. It is like the longest running ruse in crypto ever. I wonder how much money they made....

And think of what a responsible dev would do, one that is interested in the long term viability of a coin, when you understand that an ETA will be missed. Think of what you do at work when a project you are working on is not going to be ready on time. It is absolutely unacceptable that alty and the other trash devs are part of this coin. They could easily say they havnt sold anything, but do they? They could easily give a few sentences for a road map, do they? The devs could easily have dumped their coins, have they? The fact we have 0 answers tell you something about the people in charge. If anyone is still supporting these garbage devs, I cant possibility understand why
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CLOAK] Cloakcoin | No Premine | X13 | Decentralized Market and PoSA on: September 15, 2014, 07:31:26 PM
Okay I am out too.

Sorry for this but fuck you Alty because you can't able to say some sentence how's going the developement.

It was enough.

Sorry guys and respect for the community!

I doubt the devs have sold their shares. But at this point, since they have been mia for some time, these piece of shit devs need to let the community take over this coin. The biggest obstacle for this coin are the devs at this point. Totally fucking terrible devs. I wont pay attention to any coin with these devs on their team. Missed the ETA, doesnt even announce it on the thread, says a core dev hadn't been working on the coin for 5 days, and now its been about a week and still no update. Fucking trash devs, there is no other way to look at this situation. Dev step down immediately, release the source code. Your reputation is trash, I dont want you to bring this coin down as well. If they dont step down someone should look into posting personal info on these fuckers till they are forced to step down.
