    2  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Don't Give up on: May 01, 2024, 07:26:54 AM
when it's not yet your turn, don't be tempted to think people ahead of you are using juju to succeed. it's their turn. keep on clapping for them and do not envy them. your turn will definitely come if you remain consistent and never give up.

your dream is to succeed and it's why you are fighting and struggling to succeed. that's why you are swallowing in pains and making personal sacrifices for success. But do you know that there are friends and relatives whose dreams and prayers in life is for you to fail.

And the moment you fail, they have succeeded. they will be so happy because they have achieved their lifetime ambition. so, don't give up. keep on keeping on . shame and prove them wrong by succeeding. and don't give them joy by failing.

Abi. will you allow them, smile at your down fail one day.

Normally everybody get watin them dey do to succeed. Some dey hustle genuinely, some dey sacrifice people to succeed while some dey do fraud but all of them if you ask them, they go say na God ooo while na baba sometimes. I'm not actually say everybody succeeding are into rituals ooo

Sometimes you go get some close friends and suddenly that your friend starts making it and you're in the same place, you now try to do what that your friend is doing and if it doesn't work out for you will be forced to try other means but what I want to say that if your friends are making it and it's not yet your turn have that believe that your day is coming and pray to God to help and direct you
3  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Democracy in Nigeria on: May 01, 2024, 07:01:02 AM
It really amase me when we say that Nigeria is a democratic nation. if u look at what is happening in Nigeria, u will see that power belong to the leaders instead of the people, the masses are voiceless.
The leaders are supposed to be the servant of the people and not the other way round .whenever the government come up with any policy that is not favourable to the well fare of the people, if the masses should protest against it the leaders will see it as a propaganda by their political opponent and they begin to issue treats and warning to the people there by trying to enslave the will of the masses.
The democracy that is been practiced in Nigeria is democracy in form of oligarchy, were power belong to few privileged and powerful people. This people are there to represent their own selfish interest and not that of the people that voted them in.

Democracy they say is government for the people,by the people and of the people but funny enough is slowly turning to government of the leaders, by the leaders and of the leaders

How can the government make laws that is favourable to themselves and if the masses complain they'll keep a deef ear to it and nothing about

I can vividly remember when there was not cash you see that the politicians has a lot of cash and they also go to banks to buy for the money while the poor masses suffer

    Round 2

    Nigeria today
    Category: good topic
    Section: local board
5  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Nigeria today on: April 27, 2024, 10:08:46 AM

Nigeria has we all know before democracy was under the British government In 1851, the British forces seized Lagos, which was later annexed officially in 1861. In 1901, Nigeria was made a British protectorate and was colonized until 1960, when the country gained independence. In 1963, Nigeria became a republic but fell under military rule in 1966 as a result of a coup d'état. Nigeria was controlled or if I may say ruled by the military and turned to a civilian government or if I may say Nigeria Republic. Nigeria then was then ruled by civilians through the act of voting. Now let me jump to my area of concentration, which is the economically system in Nigeria. I can vividly remember when Goodluck Ebele Jonathan was president, how the economically system was fit for the masses, I can  also the fuel price was 65 naira ($0.14) and increased to 140 naira ($0.30) because of the removal of fuel subsidy during former president Goodluck period as president of the Republic of Nigeria. Now as we may have it fuel is now 690 naira per litre and if I'm not mistaking dollar rate as of then was 149.2 at $1 and now as we have it dollar rate is now 1,300 at $1. Now can we say Nigeria is growing or falling? We all increase the prices of goods and blame it on the government or say it dollar increase

I could remember my mom telling me that during the military government the cost of living was not so expensive and if the prices increases the military will go into the market to caution them for making such increase. Now Nigeria is turning to a country where the price of goods increases on a daily basis and we all blame it on the government while the government has not to do with it. The system is now hard for the poor masses to feed their families. Now garri is now 1,200 naira per rubber tell me how do you want the poor to feed their families.

Now if I may ask is the military government better than this Democratic government?
6  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: What makes cost of living still high in Nigeria when dollars loose value. on: April 26, 2024, 04:07:29 PM
I'm surprised when dollars loses value and the cost of things still remains high. now dollars have dropped a little but still yet the cost of goods in the market still Sky rocket, I don't understand the reason why dollar drop and cost things are still high, some time I wonder if Nigerians are using dollar purchase in the local market. what makes me worried soo much is our local food, the seller keep telling me dollar have increased, now dollar has been slash down a little the cost of living still remains the same.what is happening to my people.

I'm not actually surprised if the cost of living is still high well I will say Nigeria is confused

When dollar increased the price of everything skyrocketly increased and I was surprised when even garri increase price too and began to ask myself if we are importing garri too
If you go to the market then and get angry because of the sudden increase they will say it's dollar now dollar has reduced value and things go not getting any better

If I should blame anybody I'll blame the masses because they are the once increasing these things just to make profit
Well I won't actually put all the blame on them because they are trying to make ends meet for them and their families
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How possible can a forum memeber visiting foreign local board here? on: April 24, 2024, 04:09:54 AM
Is there any penalty resultant of a bitcointalk forum memeber to double Cross in accessing and also contributing to foreigners local board discussions?
I thought of this because the pool of knowledge and learning is being way too broad and versatile which possibly I think that interested forum memeber can as well visit some foreigners local board and acquire some fact of knowledges maybe even have something profitable to contribute to the board as concerned.

I know I'll be next question how is it possible to cope with the foreigners local board since they specifically speaks their native language. So there I'll suggest using the translator and how about someone who has basic skills to be fluent with the language?
I'm just being optimistic about this because right in my local board, there are interesting discussions going right there which is not discussed in the general boards so I think we can as much also acquire to enhance our aspirations with our bitcoin investment and as well adopt some profitable everyday life lessions at the foreigners local boards.

Just a thought and hope that doesn't have room for breaking the forums policies and no penalty resultant?
Well what I know about this from all what I have read about the rules is that you must be able to speak the language and if you are good in the language then you can simply chip in their conversation and feel among, it's simple as ABC but there is particular rule in the community that prohibits google translate or any tools used for translation and besides it's always very different to write in language that you fluent even the translator makes some error sometimes.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the number of new investors reduce? on: April 24, 2024, 04:05:11 AM
The halving was a major event that attracted many new investors to bitcoins, some started investing seriously some months to the halving just so to make some profit from it.The halving was what attracted them, but now that the halving has come and gone, do you think that the number of new investors will reduce for the now until the next halving is close again?
if there is one thing about Bitcoin and investment that I know of is that there are always people ready for investment especially even after periods like this just take to note that Bitcoin price will still reduce so don't forget that because after the reduction lots of people are still going to buy and HODL it for long till the price goes up again so am certain that the number will certainly increase although many will sell off their coins but the thought of reinvesting them will still be there.

    What if they centralized Bitcoin?

Nothing will happen to bitcoin because bitcoin will never become centralized, I have never thought of this and believe this will never happen. Don't waste time making assumptions and scenarios that will never happen. Instead, focus on doing your job well, spending your time earning money to accumulate as many bitcoins as possible. Because as the price of bitcoin increases, everyone will enjoy the profits they make, while you continue to needlessly doubt the future of bitcoin.
Well this is just a normal thing to do and that's why no matter the assurance that Bitcoin gives people still have doubts about it but Bitcoin has really been something else and that's why I trust and believe it and moreover it's because of the way Bitcoin is decentralized that gives it all the attention in the crypto market more than the other coins. Bitcoin is something that no one control and that has been it's core value ever since so am very certain that it will keep on with that first impression by Satoshi Nakamoto.
10  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Is Dollar The Cause? on: April 11, 2024, 02:42:02 AM

14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Can bitcoin be stolen? on: February 02, 2024, 02:23:58 PM
We all know that bitcoin was earlier stolen by James "Jimmy" Zhong
James Zhong is an American man who was convicted in 2022 for stealing over 51,680 bitcoin (then worth about $620,000; value as of 2023 approximately $3.4 billion) from the online black market Silk Road between 2012 and 2014.He was also involved in the early development of bitcoin,he found an error on Silk Road that allowed him to withdraw more funds than what was initially deposited. This was activated by repeatedly double clicking the withdraw button, and further abused by using multiple accounts on the website. Zhong managed to conceal his identity and elude detection for nearly 10 years. He lived a luxurious lifestyle, using tools such as cryptocurrency mixers to obscure the origin of the bitcoin he spent. In 2019, he made a mistake by transferring a small amount of stolen bitcoin to a cryptocurrency exchange that followed know-your-customer rules. The IRS's criminal investigation division then tracked him down.
    Source link: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Zhong#

It turns out that Bitcoin stealers target not only big companies but individual users with modest amounts in their crypto wallets.

Now bitcoin is one of the safest way to invest digital currency. Because of its new and improved security system it makes it hard for hackers and thief to access

So now the question is bitcoin safe from hackers?, can it be stolen?
15  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Hand work and skill or well paid government employee on: February 02, 2024, 06:00:05 AM
E get one thing some people dey normally talk “ my savings don save me” this talk dey very funny. Other invest strategy dey it most not be only on bitcoin or on other cryptocurrencies though e dey good to invest on crypto ooo but they fit invest on crop farming, real estate investment, agriculture investment, e.t.c. But make we look two ways some no just get that money if any money enter their hand watin them go first thing na food for them and their children
16  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Dont Buy a second hand phone from people you dont know on: February 02, 2024, 05:21:22 AM
Today i went to state CID to get a certificate of clearance from the police.
After my horrible and terrific experience with the police, then i realized that if the police really want to fight crimes in our society, they will do it without stress. On the day of our biometic a guy came there too for the same purpose. Infact the guy was in front of me.
The police man requested for the phone number of the guy. After inputing the phone number on their server they detected something strange. The guys phone number was showing red alert. The police man smiled and looked at the guy and asked him, how long have been using this phone number? The guy innocently answered "officer i don dey use this phone number for over 10yrs.
The police man asked him again the phone you are using how long have you been using it?
The guy at this point has not realised something is wrong, he said " officer i just bought this phone last.
Then the police man asked us to give him a minute. Behold when he returned he came with two heavily armed police officers. So they started to intorogate the guy if he has receipt for the phone. And if the guy can take them to the shop where he bought the phone. At that point it done to the guy that he has entered one chance. So the guy told them he bought the phone from someone. But he didnt know the person. So the police told him that the phone was reported to have been stolen and the owner came to report the matter at station with the phone serial number. That on putting his phone number on the biometric data base system it showed that his sim card is displaying on the serial number of that stolen phone.
Look at someone that innocently came to pick up certificate of no criminal record has find himself in hot soup for buying a phone from someone. The guy was thrown into the cell. What happened to him later i cant tell but what i saw thought me a great lesson.
Hence i decided to share this experience here so that others can also learn from it.
Buying second hand gadget from people is very risky o even with receipt because a lot of people can manufacture receipt if they want to sell a stolen product. So abeg try visit shops to buy your gadget.

Honestly buying a second hand phone is absolutely risky reasons are the phone In most occasions might be stolen and in order for them to get rid of the stolen phone in a way that they won’t lose they’ll sell that phone but for a cheaper and affordable price. I’ve seen a situation where some bought a second hand phone from some one unknowing to him that the phone stolen, while tracking the phone the owner spotted the phone with the person that purchased it and so arrested for a crime he didn’t comment while the main person that stole the phone is walking freely

18  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Difference between bitcoin investment and trading on exchange on: January 31, 2024, 10:48:39 PM
Bitcoin can be a risky investment, so it's important to think carefully about your goals and your strategy before you decide. That said, there are some basic guidelines.Bitcoin is a risky investment with high volatility, and should only be considered if you have a high risk tolerance, are in a strong financial position already and can afford to lose any money you invest in it. Since inventing bitcoin is highly risky I’ll say it also requires patience too because some people when they must have started investing and they peradventure they see or noticed the drop they’ll quickly back off and once it comes up they’ll regret

trading on exchange if I may say deals with rates if the rate is good and suitable you’ll make profit out of it
19  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: My idea on business strategy on: January 30, 2024, 06:29:58 AM
It is very important as a business person to strategize your business perfectly before taking action, today so many people have failed to become successful business men and women not because the business is not a good one or it does not give you profit but their are some little factors that can hinder a business..
SIGHT: Some people have a nice business but they don't sell out any of their goods months in months out what they have still remains with them most times they will tell you that somebody is manipulating them Omo nothing Is wrong check your location if it's not good change it.

Greed: Many people are very greedy when it comes to business they look for over gain this factor can hinder a business some people would have this goods that are getting bad for consumption but still keep it to be sold till it gets bad and at last it will be thrown away, who lost.

Every business person should learn how to strategize so well before going to set up a business.

This is absolutely true, before starting up a business you must know or have these 4 things in mind.
    1. Where am I starting this business (place )
    2. What will I sell or what will I do
    3. Is the place or location good for what I want to do or sell
    4. Now after considering all these things you now consider the capital
Now some business men and women are actually looking for more gain which at the end leads to the downfall of their businesses when the customers has find out that what is being solid in your chop is higher than what others are selling they will have to choice but to leave another place to buy
