1  Bitcoin / Mining / Anyway to reduce fan speed of S17+ whilst I am working on it? on: March 10, 2024, 10:57:17 PM
When I power my S17+ to use the control panel via ip, the first minute is ok, but then the fanspeed goes very loud and fast

is there a way I can stop this whilst I do not need to hash?

or stop fans completely

2  Bitcoin / Mining / Cannot connect to my S17+ via the web browser. on: March 10, 2024, 10:37:44 PM
I do not use a home router, only direct laptop to miner via usb to ethernet.

On my laptop I have an USB to Ethernet Dongle, assigned static to 192.168.2.101 in /etc/network/interfaces
When I connect the miner to the machine, the dongle interface loads up, But when I visit 192.168.2.101 in the browser it never connects

I can ping 192.168.2.101 and get a response.
also tried root@192.168.2.101 this bring up the password prompt, but I dont know the password to SSH.

Do you know why i cant access the miner in the browser?
3  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] used S17+ 72/TH and Avalon 1166 Pro on: December 09, 2023, 05:53:06 PM
I have multiple S17+ 72/TH and 1166's, all are used but working perfectly.

I am based in the UK and willing to meet in person so as to demonstrate hashing efficiency etc.

4  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASIC Miner Repair Services: Expert Advice and Training Available on: December 09, 2023, 06:31:43 AM
Hello everyone, I want to let you know that I specialize in repairing ASIC miners. Feel free to ask me anything about hardware, or if you're interested in learning how to repair them, I'm ready to help!

hey, two of the heatsinks fell off one of the hashboards on my s17+, they also ripped off the cpu chip.
i got replacement chips and soldering equipment, however i never repaired asic before, so, from zero knowledge, how long do you expect this would take to repair?
