Both Windows and Linux. You use the --http-port flag to set the getwork port. By default it's 8332 I believe, but you could use anything as long as the blade uses the same.
Basically start BFG as you normally would, add --http-port 8332, and point your blades to the server running BFG using 8332 and they'll connect up. For blade setup make sure each blade has a unique worker name, password doesn't matter.
I built BFG from source last night and the http-port command isn't showing up. Is it segregated 32/64-bit as under windows?

Question: is it possible that NMC implementation could have a bug? I have the exact same hashing power on another pool, also merged mining, I am doing the same amounts of BTC but the amount of NMC is about half here. nothing that takes my sleep away, NMC worth very little today, just wondering if it is something wrong there or just bad luck in nmc the last 3 or 4 days.
I'm pondering the same here, I have half of my mining power pointed at Bitminter and my name coin income is 4-5x higher then here.

Bad luck lately it seems.... I just hope this nearly 10 hour block (and counting) doesn't turn up stale after all is said and done... I'll be half tempted to flip a table.

3) Is the stratum server suppose to spam so much? i am getting a nonstop stream of spam with below text, is there anything wrong with it? i am using all default settings.
That's not spam, that's logging. If you aren't interested in the mechanics you can run it with the -q flag to drop it down to just submissions.

pool is down again... So I go to the website, and it shows the pool is down. I check my proxies, and I'm still processing work above 12 gh/s. Which is the correct choice here? In these circumstances, i think the best thing to do is mail 50% of your miners to me Seriously, I guess keep hashing, after all - your systems must be getting the work, to do the hashing. EDIT: The DDoS seems to have got much worse, and I'm not getting work now either - so I guess I don't know what to do =/ If I mailed you 50% of my ASIC Blade, I'm pretty sure we both end up with 0%

Update on the most annoying blade on the world: Gave it it's own PSU so there is no more sharing of lines with my ESXi server, and received my Procurve switch from the bitcoinstore: Vindication is mine! And wintame's as well for helping me troubleshoot this thing.

I also had 3 x'es within the O's just after a reconfiguration + restart.
Restarted again with fingers crossed, only one x remaining, and I set the clock to low. Re-restarted still with fingers crossed, all x'es went away, all O's. Set the clock back to high, waited for 30 mins, still all O's. Phew!
I wonder if these issues are heat related. Anyone experienced it, added cooling and didn't happen again?
I do not think cooling is concerned. Otherwise I do not understand much criticism for cooling. My blade is cooled with a single ASUS fan of 12 cm forward. The fan blows cold air on the right side of the blade. The blade is in the vertical position (standing on their part with the cooler). BLADE is overclocked cool as a cucumber. I can not believe that such a stable made.I think even my overclocked BLADE can operate without a fan. I'll hit mine with a Infrared thermometer tomorrow, and I can get you some rough numbers to compare against. I can test with no cooling, 1x200mm, 1x200mm+1x120mm, and 1x200mm+2x120mm.

One x in itself is not the end of the world, I have one chip (#32) which spent an entire week displaying the x and then just decided to cooperate. Your user experience may vary.

REPUTATION: Using escrow to show all members that you are LEGIT & mean serious business. Then keep a track record of your trades, USD value, and who your escrow was. That way if a new member or someone wants to do business with you, they can go back and see your REPUTATION. Saudibull: Buyers need to feel secure when they are dealing with business. Not working within escrow seriously detriments the amount of business you will get, trust me. Unless you are a scammer Not working with escrow got me a rep better than all of yours, honestly we all know you guys are just envious of my rep, aside from these retards for NO reason bashing it, its still one of the best -

I'm also running two proxies at the same time, but I dont think it has anything to do with the proxy. Cgminer was connected to the same proxy and was able to change to its backup pool, but the asicminer blade didnt.
I'm only using the Blade so I have no way of cross-checking, but from your description it stops me from yelling at the proxies after a week

Happened to me on Slush's pool. I'm pretty sure it's a bug in the blade as I've let it fail numerous times with the same results.
I've documented this troubleshooting with WinTame2012 on my blade, especially if I'm running 2 proxies on the same IP address even with different ports specified.

I just got a shipping confirmation in my email.
Did I get forgotten about or was that a coincidence after posting my message?
Same thing happened when I piped up, squeaky wheel gets the grease.

I have to agree with the dissenters around here, very shady individual denies the use of escrow even they don't have to cover the fees. Especially one who claims to have "some of the best" reps in this forum. In under a month. Ya....

still looking for a $55 card?
Yup, or a $60 card. FYI: You can use Gyft to trade BTC for Amazon gift cards via phone.

If I was you, I'd want to confirm 100% its not the blade. Take it to work, take it to a friend, hell take it to Starbucks. Just see if you can get 13 GH on another network. If you can, its your network and that's where we look.
If not, its back to friedcat as I already checked everything else for you.
Having similar problems as the OP, I'm going to attempt this this weekend.

Has anyone had an issue with their blade(s) where they'll mine for a while (minutes or hours) and reboot on a regular basis? Both of mine will run for an hour or so, stop hashing for a couple minutes, and reboot (triggers the failsafe). It's great that they reset automatically, but I'm losing a few minutes of hashing each hour. I'm running them through slush's stratum proxy and they maintain ethernet communication the entire time (the web page stays accessible and they're connected to the proxy).
I tried moving one to another pool (under another instance of the proxy using a different port) and it still does the same thing, although they now reset at different times. It seems like a stratum proxy or pool issue, but I'd expect it to pick back up after a disconnect (if that's what's happening). When the blades go down for a couple minutes, my GPUs keep hashing (although they aren't using the proxy).
I'm going to start digging into it, but I wanted to check to see if someone else ran into the same thing.
I'm having issues with my proxies, every 2 minutes or so they lock up in turn and the blade switches to the next. Rinse and repeat indefinitely.

WTB 30 btc - Paying by MoneyGram, / wire/transfer / multiple banks /- etc / PM me -
Saudibull refuses to work under escrow, beware for scammers. He claims to be doing trades for the sake of reputation, wtf? I am here to sell him my BTC as a form of business, which he refuses. He wants me to send first & or claims he is the form of escrow (lol). Same story here. Asked if he wanted to use localbitcoins (1%) or John K here and he refused flat out. Send first 30 BTC, what is this, 2010?
