1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My submission to bitcoin is not zero risk investment on: Today at 09:52:35 PM
I recently made this thread Let them know and let them decide themselves and with lot of lashes from experience individual here got me into working on my ignorance which can be misleading.
I am subjected to tell you all by my own risk experience of the recent was the attributes withnessed amongst investors (specifically short term goalers) who derives sediments from when the market price falls.
During the bullish move by the June $123,000 Ath, and Dipped to the bottom of $112,000, it really caused a lot of emotional impacts on opposite directions in-between buying and selling.
A lot regrets missing to sell at the top because they were too relented that the price will keep soaring but when it could not move further and the ease falling was like the green lines would surpass the red line in the short term but until then price dropped to $112,000 was when they sold because they don't only believe the market is only declining or it potential volatility but likely being supported without the fear of loosing their funds like bitcoin is become a scam at their own time of investing after being referred to adopt it.
Some sold some stumbled but never sold but holding patiently and in the short distance to date $117,000 begining to cause it own market sparks.

I think the emotional trauma's and those who sold Fomo is worth enough of risks.
I am also going to lock this Let them know and let them decide themselves  to end the discussion in subject to my submission.
Personally, I consider anyone who want profits from Bitcoin's short-term rise or fall in value to be a trader (not an investor, as you might call it). Investors, on the other hand, are those who truly believe in Bitcoin's future potential and therefore hold it for the long term. Therefore, I recommend that we become investors, not traders, especially those who use leverage or futures trading. I find that to be akin to gambling, a zero-sum game, and full of risks. Therefore, especially for newbies or beginners in crypto, it is best not to try it, as no one can truly predict the market accurately. Even skilled traders can still be wrong, resulting in losses or margin calls instead of profits.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should the casino be liable if the games they added are proven rigged? on: Today at 10:57:31 AM
As smart gamblers always say, DYOR ( do-your-own-research). but what if we ended up gambling in a casino where some of the games were actually rigged? I'm talking about games made by third-party providers, not the ones developed by the casino itself. They advertise these games as provably fair, but in reality, no one really checks the system, until one day, a tech-savvy guy exposes it and proves the game was rigged.

So the question is, if we were gambling on a rigged game and obviously lost, and since the transaction is only between us and the casino, and most of us don’t even know who the game providers are, would the casino still be held liable?
Basically, in gambling, someone can have a lucky streak, or vice versa, that is a losing streak, and this usually leads someone to believe the situation is rigged. However, we also need to realize that every accusation must be supported by evidence, or at least a strong reason, so it can be reported to the relevant authorities or community, because it could be a mistake on the part of the casino. However, I believe that every reputable casino (trusted by many people, some of which we can see on this forum) usually cross-checks the games they offer, so they should be trustworthy, fair, and provable. Because we know that casinos with a strong reputation will maintain their good name, especially for the comfort and security of their users when playing on their casino gambling sites, and also to maintain customer loyalty.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Only 0.076 Bitcoin to get a house. on: Today at 07:01:57 AM
All this with 0.07BTC that is  approximately $9,120 at a price of $120,000BTC which is somewhat a very low amount of money in most countries around the world to afford such a house you displayed over here, this sounds so unbelievable.

The story didn't add up mate
No, my friend, I think you are wrong. In Indonesia, the amount mentioned is quite a lot, enough to buy a house like that. However, I don't think the house is located in a major city center, so the story is very plausible. Even in my area, with half the value (around 0.035 Bitcoin, or around $4,500), we could buy a fairly large house. So, I don't think the OP's story is a hoax. And, just to add, some foreigners like to play in Indonesia, especially in Bali (fyi: Bitcoin ATMs are available in that area), because they feel that things in Indonesia are cheap, and I often see this from the social media content circulating.
4  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Apakah Melakukan Penambangan Bitcoin bermasalah di Indonesia ? on: Today at 04:09:57 AM

5  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Things I Wish I Knew Before Posting on Bitcointalk on: August 07, 2025, 11:27:55 PM
Here are 3 things I wish I knew earlier:
-Short replies don’t help — you need to write like you're helping someone.
It is great when you create a post or write as if you are helping someone, but please note that it shouldn't be long-winded or complicated, it needs an easy-to-understand explanation (this is especially to help newbies), and it must be on point (short, clear, concise), so that it will be very useful and not make people lazy to read it, especially if it is very long and too much small talk. Those are some additions from me.

-Posts in quiet threads may never be seen — post where readers hang out.
Depending on the situation, if a post is quiet or hasn't had any replies in a while, and we happen to have an update related to the thread title, it is actually okay to post it (as long as it is genuinely useful and up-to-date).

-Original thinking matters — don’t copy anything, not even from your own posts.
Of course, there is no point in copying from a post we've already created. If we want to add something, it is best to reply to the thread or post we've already created to avoid appearing spammy. While original thinking is also necessary, but we know that most of what we find has a source, so it is best to cite the source when creating a post.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not winning anything with free spins on: August 07, 2025, 08:48:47 PM
I don't know if this has happened to you much, but I usually play slots from time to time and when I get free spins I usually win something, sometimes more, sometimes less, but I always win. Today I got two rounds of 10 free spins playing Wild Bounty Showdown, and in the first one I didn't win anything, while in the second one I won about $0.34 (playing $0.20 spins). I felt a bit silly, because getting free spins is cool, it's usually exciting, and I've won some good big wins a few times.

Has anything similar happened to you?
As far as I know, free spins are usually awarded when a casino account has been used for gambling or betting. However, their use is limited to specific slot games, so we can't freely choose the slot game.

As I recall, the last time I received free spins, I usually won at least a dollar or two. However, it seems like your experience was unlucky, but We should know that all forms of gambling or betting are essentially based on luck. What you experienced was less lucky, with only a small profit. I usually feel happy when I receive free spins. Besides the free entertainment, they also provide additional entertainment for me because of the winnings, and I usually make the most of them. So, I hope you have good luck with your next free spins, and I hope so too.
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Smart contract scams on YouTube on: August 07, 2025, 08:21:21 PM
This can work on other special other places like social media.

The attacker used aged account to post videos. The video can be AI generate to reduce cost but not all are AI generated. The attacker use the comment section to promote the scam. Anyone that falls for it and send money to the smart contract address provided by the scammer are scammed this way.

An example is the one on this link:
https://www.sentinelone.com/labs/smart-contract-scams-ethereum-drainers-pose-as-trading-bots-to-steal-crypto/?utm_medium=paid-search&utm_source=google&utm_campaign=amer-us-brand&utm_term=sentinelone

The scammer use trading bot advertisement to scam their victims over $900 million.

Be careful of what you see online. I always know that something related to bots are used to to scam recently. The trading bots are advertised to scam their victims.
Sorry, I think you meant $900k, or is that different from the source you cited?

Yes, surely we have to be careful about what we see online. I often watch YouTube channels discussing crypto, and when they get a lot of views, scammers often exploit the comments section to promote their scams. Not only that, but I have also seen some suspicious promotions on other platforms, like Telegram and Facebook. However, the bottom line is that we must remain vigilant about any information we see or receive, always be skeptical, don't be easily tempted or lured by anything that looks "Too Good to be True," and most importantly, avoid anything suspicious and it could be better not to try anything about it, this warning is important especially for beginner in crypto.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If Not for Gambling, Would We All Be Richer in Bitcoin Today? on: August 07, 2025, 07:25:19 PM
On this topic, We gamblers are actually one of the biggest reasons why Bitcoin took off. If we agree on that, have you ever thought that maybe we shouldn't have been the main reason? Because gambling made us spend our Bitcoin, and most of the time we lose money when we gamble. If gambling hadn’t been that popular back then, maybe we would’ve just held onto our Bitcoin and could be sitting on a small fortune today.

For example, in my case, IIRC, I lost more than 1 BTC back in the early days, maybe even 5. If I had those 5 BTC now, and gambling wasn’t that popular back then so I wasn’t tempted to spend them, that money today could’ve been worth around half a million dollars. That’s a huge amount that could’ve made life a lot more comfortable.
I think you are right. Something similar happened to me: I used Bitcoin for gambling, and I truly regret it. However, we need to reconsider and reflect on things like this so we can learn from past mistakes. One of the most important lessons from that experience is that we should never involve our finances in Bitcoin. It should be stored securely for the long term, rather than used for betting or gambling. This will prevent us from regretting what happened.

Personally, I don't think Bitcoin is suitable for gambling because I consider it a very rare commodity that should be protected. Therefore, it should be avoided for betting or gambling purposes if possible. Recently, I have preferred using other cryptocurrencies or stablecoins for gambling.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Learning bitcoin is a multidisciplinary thing on: August 07, 2025, 02:22:34 PM
Learning Bitcoin is inherently a multidisciplinary endeavor. To fully understand Bitcoin and its ecosystem, one needs to integrate knowledge from several different fields, including:

Technology & Computer Science: Bitcoin is built on cryptographic principles and blockchain technology. Understanding its consensus mechanisms, wallet security, mining process, and smart contracts requires a solid foundation in computing and programming.

Economics & Finance: Grasping Bitcoin’s monetary policy, scarcity, market dynamics, and its role as an alternative asset involves economic theory, supply and demand, game theory, and financial analysis.

Mathematics: Bitcoin relies on cryptography, which uses advanced mathematical algorithms for security, transaction verification, and digital signatures.

Learning Bitcoin is actually quite complex and takes more time to master, while beginners can start with the basics. I believe everyone can choose which area they want to focus on. For example, to understand Bitcoin technically, they need to focus on mathematics, blockchain technology, and development. However, if they want to be a Bitcoin trader or investor, they need to concentrate on economic analysis, which involves technical and fundamental analysis. However, I believe everyone should at least understand the basics of Bitcoin's fundamentals to pave the way for the future and become part of Bitcoin. We know this isn't easy, so we need to prepare ourselves by reading more about Bitcoin, cultivating our curiosity, learning from the basics to in-depth, and putting the knowledge we've acquired into practice. This will sharpen our understanding and make us more comfortable. I am sure that if someone applies it, they will make it happen.
10  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Apakah Melakukan Penambangan Bitcoin bermasalah di Indonesia ? on: August 06, 2025, 11:32:14 PM

11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cash-out option: Could it be a way to deny us from getting huge wins? on: August 06, 2025, 09:25:30 PM
I was admiring the cash-out option initially since bettors can still have the privilege of winning part of their supposed winning amount but recently, i have regretted why the cash-out feature was introduced because about 3 times i could have won huge bets but i ended up cashing out and in the end all the events i selected played according to how i predicted them. Has the cash-out option caused more harm than good to us? the reason why am asking this question is because we know how difficult it is to win a bet and most of us wish to win huge bets but due to the idea that if we allow all the events to run through the bet might end up losing, it now made us to often decide to cash out a bet half way due to the fear of ending up losing everything.
Well, the cash-out option can actually be very beneficial, but this depends on two situations. First, if a bettor or gambler applies the option and then turns out to be the right choice, they will greatly appreciate the feature. Second, if a bettor applies the option and turns out to be the wrong choice, they will regret the cash-out option. Therefore, it all depends on the final outcome, and as gamblers, we should be wise in making this choice. Simply put, consider all the possible outcomes before making the choice. If the outcome doesn't go your way, you won't regret the cash-out decision too much.

Personally, I once cashed out in the middle of a soccer match I was betting on. I chose that option out of doubt, but the end result was a big win. I may have regretted it a bit at the time, but because I had considered the possibilities, I was prepared for it and didn't regret it too much. So, in essence, it's all about how we approach the outcome.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can we avoid addictions in gambling? on: August 06, 2025, 07:36:57 PM
- how can we avoid or control our gambling activities so that's it wouldn't lead to addictions ?
There are actually many ways to manage our gambling activities and avoid addiction, and I think everyone's path is different. Personally, I used to be an addicted gambler, but fortunately, I'm no longer. This is due to the large amount of time I have to allocate to other positive activities, such as work, exercise, and of course, more time with family. These are some of the main factors that leave me with little time to gamble. On the other hand, I have financial responsibilities to my family, so that is also an important factor in realizing the importance of good money management for gambling, and I usually set a bankroll that I can afford to lose.

-how often should we gamble?
Personally, gambling with a ratio of once a week is a good thing I think, because it really makes me safe and comfortable when gambling, both in terms of time and finances as I said.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nothing is wrong with hiding your trancsations via privacy coins and other on: August 06, 2025, 07:25:15 PM
I believe some privacy coins still exist due to their strong communities, which allows them to maintain their existence. However, some exchanges have delisted them due to pressure from governments or regulators, a sign that governments hate privacy. I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with privacy coins. If the reason is the potential for misuse, then I think the fault lies with their users. This leads me to ask, "How is it possible that if a murderer uses a knife to commit the crime, the government would ban the use of knives and knife makers?"

Apart from that, I think that the pressure of governments and regulators on privacy coins is their way of making the coins die slowly, so that they don't need more effort to finish it, and this is my assumption, cmiiw.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a legal tender; not so far off on: August 06, 2025, 06:15:12 PM
<snip>
I believe Bitcoin adoption is expanding, not necessarily limited to legal tender, and could even be likened to a policy of using Bitcoin as a strategic reserve within a country. Regarding the high demand for Bitcoin that I mentioned, El Salvador is still making purchases despite the policy changes. It's also worth noting that El Salvador still legalizes Bitcoin for private trade. So, in essence Bitcoin will continue to be widely adopted, sooner or later, it will definitely happen.
No country will be ready if the complexity of the problems is already so great across various sectors.
If El Salvador, you say, has reversed its decision, is that true? In other words, how accurate are the sources that led them to completely reverse it? No, right?

The continued increase in Bitcoin adoption by many parties, at various levels, shows that Bitcoin doesn't need to be legal tender, but rather an alternative currency alongside fiat currencies, in my opinion.
I think you are right. I also don't think El Salvador has completely abandoned Bitcoin, as we know that El Salvador has already reaped many benefits from Bitcoin, so I think that is true.

If we are talking about Bitcoin adoption by many parties, whether companies, countries or institutions, then I also think that is enough to show that Bitcoin doesn't need to be legal tender, as I said before. However, not all countries have adopted Bitcoin yet, so we can conclude that this is still in its early stages and will take time. Therefore, we can really take advantage of this before it actually happens, and especially as retailers, we can start to take advantage of it, perhaps with one of the DCA methods, which is considered a good approach.

You must have seen those ads and posters from gambling sites about winners who use little money to win big money, was just told

Stories about big wins in gamblings are told more than loses.
A prime example of one of those big win story is that of Fred Smith the founder of Fed ex https://www.foxbusiness.com/money/fred-smith-fedex-blackjack-winning-formula.amp it’s a good success story especially when the end result is Federal Express. In the story Fed Ex had financial problems which was preventing them to go to the next level. Smith boldly used the remaining money the company had to playjack in las vagas and it paid off and the win was used to develop FedEx to become the house hold name it is today.

Smith story and other miraculous big wins can be use to encourage you to believe but you must have your feet on the ground and this is why
1. The sad failure stories goes on told or aren’t as used as the success stories
2. Using this stories to drive your desires can make you an addict and lose discipline quicker.
3. They are marketing strategies than actually reality
4. You can start doing things you don’t do like going all in with everything you have on games
Gambling is a business so your emotions has to be educated.
Essentially, all advertisements strive to attract customers or users. They employ various marketing techniques, including controlling the viewer's emotions, as you mentioned. However, I prefer to describe it as touching the viewer's emotions (rather than controlling them).

Therefore, I don't think there's anything wrong with that. If we look at advertisements other than gambling, they also attempt to appeal to the viewer's emotions. For example, food and beverage advertisements use compelling stories and visuals to achieve this. So, there's nothing inherently wrong with that, because advertisements can't force us. We have the freedom to follow them or not, and our minds also act as a barrier. Therefore, we must realize that we must think before taking any action, including gambling or purchasing food or beverages, as I mentioned. If we don't think, we could suffer losses, whether material or non-material. In essence, too much of anything is not good.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a legal tender; not so far off on: August 04, 2025, 08:25:37 PM
It's not Bitcoin that has to go through the process, but countries that want to make Bitcoin legal tender must do everything they can to make Bitcoin legal tender, just like El Salvador.

Countries must consider many things if they want to implement this system. The biggest challenge they will face is the criticism and other things they will receive.
Although I'm not a government official, I can sense what happens when a financial system isn't properly managed. This is what stops it.
Although El Salvador was among the countries that made Bitcoin legal tender, it ultimately reversed its decision. This was due to pressure from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), as well as public criticism for various reasons, and it is matched as you said.

I believe there are many challenges for a country to make Bitcoin legal tender. We know that many things must be changed to make it happen, including regulations and changes to existing rules. Even if a country seems to be pushing for such a decision, it will still face many challenges. However, I don't think this seems to have affected Bitcoin demand.

19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Using auto-bet bots on crypto casinos smart or suicide? on: August 04, 2025, 06:26:50 PM
hey folks been foolin round with the dice / crash auto scripts on stake etc and even slapped together a lil python bot that runs while i sleep 😅 idea is rake vip xp + maybe grind a few sats but honestly feels like slow leak even with stop-loss n profit target

anyone here actually ahead long term with an auto bot?
– what game + house edge u run it on
– basic settings (martingale? flat? hit n run?)
– bankroll size vs max bet
screenshots welcome if u got em

tryna decide if i keep looking and trying or go back to good old manual clicking, let me know your wins fails lessons thx

In my experience, Autobots are a different layer of fun on top of what the platform provides. It doesn't change your odds or house edge but it's nice to experiment with different strategies, track your bankroll changes and visualize you gambling pattern. When I gamble with Autobots, I tend to last longer than gambling on the platform itself. To my surprise, Autobots provide much more functionality, quicker bets and allows implementing whatever wild and random strategy that comes your mind. If you aim for small wins with large bankroll, you could virtually last for weeks betting 24 hours at full speed. But even the best of strategy fails you one day.
I think you are right. I remember trying auto-bet bots at an online casino. When I first tried them, I lost several times because I didn't think through a solid strategy. But then I tried the martingale strategy. I set it up so that if I lost, I'd automatically increase my stake (until I made a profit). Then, if I made a profit, I'd return to my base bet. I remember betting at odds of 1.1 to 1.2. However, as you said, I eventually gave up on using it because the strategy I thought was the best was a losing streak. Despite some wins, it still had the potential to fail, as gambling is essentially a game of chance. And, one more thing that really made me stop using it is because I feel like it's really no entertainment at all, I feel like it's better to use my gut feeling than to use those auto-bet bots, because it's more challenging and entertaining, especially when our guess is right in the crucial moments.
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Another example on why we should be quiet and not flaunt our crypto in public on: August 04, 2025, 05:19:01 AM
Here is another example on why we really need to be quiet in our social media and not tell about our crypto investment as we might be the next target.
...
In this case, streamer and content creator Kaitlyn 'Amouranth' Siragusa has been the target by this criminals as they force her to reveal where in the stash of his crypto. It's good thing that she has the presence of mind to bring the criminals to his husband who is waiting for a ambush as he was able to hit one of the assailant and husband and wife escape and the criminals was caught later.
Well, this is a similar story to other cases, when someone publicly displays their crypto holdings, they are subject to surveillance. Therefore, we should learn from cases like this to avoid similar situations. If we think about it, actually there is no point in publicly displaying our crypto holdings, especially if they are substantial, it only serves to lure thieves. Even if someone wants to disclose their crypto holdings, it is best to simply say "I have" and avoid revealing the amount, or even show the address, as we know that doing so would be dangerous, and it is the same as revealing a secret place or the location of a private safe to the public.
