I think it is done before but are you sure you want to use btc as the currency? Not many people will play your game when an average transaction fee is ~$2 (sometimes way more)

You should either build it on LN or use a cheaper altcoin (either choice is faster and cheaper than base layer btc) instead but ultimately it is your decision and your money you’ll be spending.

Well this is an interesting concept where you are using the Hash of a block and the outcome of the game remains unpredictable as it is bind with the hash number which cannot be predetermined. Using this will add to the Provably Fair Gaming as nothing can be as fair as a blockchain Hash number guessing. Thus it will boost your site trust as you will be providing transparency through block hashes which can be easily verified.

I like this idea of yours as it will be endorsed by the community too. Do let us know about the game development and once you are ready to give it a launch. It is a good initiative and will attract the gamblers.

There was a project that has same idea l, the project died eventually. It was way ahead of its time I guess and only few are using it. There are newer projects like this one but are using other L1 blockchain and somehow its been up for awhile.

You can start any type of game that you want to have. IIRC, there was this type of game that has been launched here before but I've forgotten the name of the game. Usually, anything that's new will get the eyes of the crowd of gamblers but then when it's no longer fun or profitable, you'll just be left behind. Well, as for experiment, you may want to have that but most of the gamblers here are looking for the reputation of the one that starts it out or the provider of it. But don't get discouraged with it and see how the entire community will look at it once you have it.
