Question to the dev: Why is the difficulty falling so slow? Round time is still from 4 to 5 minutes - although it should be 2 minutes! Still the same since around 24 hours...
Which algorithm is used that mining is so...annoying?

djblue until mining million - coin die. Premine is extra large.

What with a windows wallet - it just does not start on w7-64 Huh??

Ehm...Bitcoin has a maximum 21 million coins and will be completely mined in the year around 2140:

Windows wallet: I have W8.1 x64 - starts with no problems, "just" hangs when exiting (Has to be killed via Task Manager).

STOP MINING SHIT COIN  Huh Huh My hashrates 500 MB get 7 bittor /day. Dev has a premine 3300 coins = 471 day mining with hashrates 500 MB. Get out

From specs:
1 coin per generated block for the first 600k blocks, 0,5 between blocks 600k and 1.2M, 0.25 between blocks 1.2M and 1.6M.

POW TOTAL 1000 coins

600+300+100=1000

how it could be 3300 premine?

someone wants to lower the difficulty ?

Your calculation is wrong, please multiply by 1000!  E.g. 600k block x 1 = 600,000 coin, not 600...  and the total coin 1M (1,000,000)

explain please

how many blocks totaly?

why it is mine so slowly?

In the first post of this thread you can see that there is a limit of 1M (=1,000,000) coins (Look at specifications).
(Commas are thousand separators)
First 600k (=600,000) BLOCKS generate 1 coin per block: 600,000 blocks x 1 coin= 600,000 coins
The next blocks from 600,001 to 1.2M (=1,200,000) generate 0.5 coins: 600,000 blocks (1,200,000 minus 600,000) x 0.5 coins = 300,000 coins
Blocks from 1.2M (1,200,001) to 1.6M (=1,600,000) generate 0.25 coins: 400,000 blocks (1,600,000 minus 1,200,000) x 0.25 coins = 100,000 coins
Blocks from 1.6M upwards generate 0 coins.
Makes in sum: 600,000 coins + 300,000 coins + 100,000 coins = 1,000,000 coins
I think that the premined 3,000 coins are part of the first 600,000 coins

I hope I cleared it up (I also mixed up blocks and coins at first - but it's simple mathematics...)

And it's so slow because some big hashrate left the mining and the difficulty is "only" slowly falling. When the difficulty reached the correct value (when the block time has fallen to 2 minutes) it will be "fast" again. Don't forget that there is an algorhythm to calculate the diff.

Ok guys, we heard you on this premine question and we are gonna give the community part of it, starting now. We are giving 2 coins for first 500 people that follow us on twitter, retweet this and send us their BT address via twitter !
We will check for cheating so please don't use two twitter accounts to participate.
We will start sending the coins in 2-4 hours.

PS: don't share your address here in bitcointalk since giveaways are not allowed

I have received
