2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers👉Group Stage👉1/8 on: July 02, 2024, 03:59:13 PM
Today we have 2 matches:

  • Romania - Netherlands
  • Austria - Turkey

Austria and Netherlands are big favourites by bookmakers and it makes sense. Netherlands have some weaknesses in defense but I don't think they will say goodbye in this round.

When it comes to our match against Austria, our job is very difficult.  Sad  I hope Montella prefers better strategies this time. If we play the same we have a quite small chance.
For me, today's two matches will really be quite difficult to predict. And although perhaps many will favor the Netherlands in the Netherlands vs Romania match. But I think it's also quite risky considering Romania's performance is not that bad either. It could even be said that their performance is quite good. And Romania is even at the top of Group E even though in Group E all clubs share the same points. But Romania is the one who scores the most goals.

Meanwhile, the Austria vs Türkiye match was also quite confusing. Because Turkey even has the same points in Group F as Portugal, which indicates that Turkey's performance is not much different from Portugal. Meanwhile, Austria was also the team that managed to get the most points from Group D. Austria was even able to beat the Netherlands and Poland in the group stage. And Austria only lost to France and even then France won because of 1 goal and 1 goal was an own goal.  Which means France can't really beat Austria.
But I will try to make my choice slightly against my own wishes. Namely I would choose Romania and Austria. This is a little risky but worth the try.
The odds for Romania to win are around 8 and I decided to take a chance, it's not often such odds fall out, even a small amount in the case of victory Romania well be able to turn into a very good profit.
I think to add to this bet that both team will score, but I'm afraid that the Dutch may not score with their game. In any case, I think Romania can win and the chances of winning are great, because Holland did not play very well, and Romania passed the qualifying stage well, scored goals and came out of the first place, ahead of Belgium.

Austria and Turkey are more difficult, it will be really competitive, but still I think the chances of Austria are higher, they play more disciplined than Turkey.
The selection of Austria and Romania is excellent, the total coefficient will be around 16 I think.

Odds for Ukraine vs Belgium were 6, it was a 50/50 match. Same as for Romania vs Belgium, and Romania never really had a chance there. It was the craziest group.

Anything can happen. 8 is a gift... good move

Is it fair to say Slovakia played way beyond expectation? Wasn't this proven against England?

What if Belgium isn't all that bad, but the group was far tougher than anyone could anticipate? This is my assumption here - I had Slovakia yesterday and I'll continue backing Group C in the playoffs.

$1.00/$8.00 score 0-0
$1.00/$2.90 Belgium clean sheet
$5.00/$2.50 Belgium +0.5 (AH) in the first half

Will post Romania bets tomorrow, but I'm looking at one side - the underdog.

Same line of thinking as yesterday. Romania fields 9 out of 11 players who shocked Ukraine in the first game (3:0). To me, this team can't be 8-1 against any team in this tournament, except maybe Spain.

$1.00/$13.00 score 0-0
$1.00/$2.05 score 0-0 first half
$5.00/$3.50 Romania +1.5 (AH)

And the answer is...

Michelle Obama! (do you think this is legit? Can anyone explain why other candidates wouldn't be favored vs Trump, but She would?)

I have an image saved on my computer. How do I insert it into a forum reply (is it possible?)

I was going to post a screenshot from a online bookie's promotional email.

They have hypothetical matchups, replacing Biden with 4-5 other candidates.

Can anyone guess the ONLY Democratic candidate, who, if chosen to oppose Trump in the Elections-24, would be FAVORED by this bookie?

Your choices are

A) Harris
B) Newsom
C) Obama M.
D) Whitmer
E) Clinton H.

Posting a spoiler in the next post... with odds revealed

Portugal  vs Slovenia

Must win match for Portugal. And one thing I really hope is that Cristiano Ronaldo will at least score in this match. A player of his caliber, who has been in really good form before this tournament and who has also been given probably a better form in the group stage matches, has not been able to do a lot of things when it comes to the knockout matches. He really needs to step up and play better for his country. I think we could say that his finishing was not up to the mark. But he is at least trying to assist. Has not been selfish at all. Hopefully, he will be able to score in the upcoming match tonight against Slovenia and his team will also win and advance to the next stage.

Free tips: Don't miss this opportunity, 1.35 odds are not bad at all.  Wink

I like it.

Can I ask the max. bet size on your stake account for this bet? To win about 1 btc?... (do they show Max Bet, like bet365 used 5-10 years ago?)

Will post Romania bets tomorrow, but I'm looking at one side - the underdog.

#22 created again, and KDB missed a good chance. It's curious to me how wide open every Belgium game has been so far. Betting the underdog every time would be a good idea, except the Romania game with the super fast 2nd minute score.

And as I was typing this, France broke through and my bets basically came home even.

1-0 is a fair outcome, but so would be 0-0 or 0-1. On to the next one.

#22 for Belgium is the best player on the pitch so far, at halftime.

Yes, including the guy wearing a white shirt and a black facemask.

Pretty sad that in 2024 noone has yet come up with a simple concept of just checking 2FA and user's device, for unlimited access and 100% KYC Free experience for gamblers.

Gambling commissions are generally leeches, and the only problem is that people who can truly afford to run such a casino (Elon Musks and Jeff Bezos's of the world) have no interest in colliding with governments - specifically, the U.S. DOJ - in order to 'just be associated with the best modern casino possible'.

I would trust my money to a Musk-branded casino, and so would you.

And it would cost him 10% of what he paid for Twitter X.

Nevertheless this really sting for players but they don’t have choice here than accept it since casino can pause/stop unfinished tournament.
They have all right to stop, cancel any bonus even any bet placed in their site. When you registered with them you agree with their terms.

Yes and I have the right to post on a forum when they're becoming cheapskates

Fair point. The only issue is the discussion about this topic you raised is just more on mocking rather than questioning the casino move because it’s casino rights to this while players has nothing to say against it because you agree on it.

You can either move on to other casino that offers same tournaments or  just keep whining without any guarantee that it will change nitrobetting decision on canceling tournaments.

Not whining. I receive messages from a certain N2, who I guess bought bitcoin at $165 per a decade ago, and could easily finance such a cheap operation. He makes it sound like Nitrobetting is the way to the promised land of digital casinos in the 21st century.

But any player who knows Nitro's history - starting with the old website - can see this lot are losing out because I'm GUESSING they're just not bankrolled enough to keep up the promos going and don't have a critical player mass to survive. If they did, small timers like me wouldn't complain on a forum their bonuses are taken away.

Under/Over on this website closing shop for good: Christmas Day 2025.

Anyone wants to bet the over? Not me
16  Economy / Gambling / Re: Nitrogen.eu just cancelled ALL free contests on: July 01, 2024, 02:47:37 PM
It's either the contest not worth with the risk or the casino will going to bankrupt, there was a casino offers too good to be true promotion, after next few weeks or month, the casino suffer financial difficulty and then bankrupt.

Don't hope to big, usually worthy contest wouldn't last long since the players are making more than the casinos.

They don't necessarily have to go backrupt due to running those contests. In any company/firm, there's usually money set aside for very specific purposes and expected ROI for such expenditure. For instance, if someone is hired to a mobile application for a book, the expected ROI is that users might find the mobile app to be very convenient and play more often from the mobile app. Contests only introduce some sense of gamificatiin into the mix.

Running a promo isn't as straightforward as it seems.

Apart from the money you, as a casino, give away to players, you have to make sure your guaranteed contests fill up. You have to invest extra into marketing. Once you get enough eyeballs, and people get accustomed to visiting your casino, you try to get them to stay - even without the bonuses and promotions.

So far in 2024, Nitrobetting.eu:

Cancelled ALL deposit bonuses (previously, they would give you 100% up to 25mbtc pretty much every time you deposited, as long as you lost the previous deposit and didn't cash out)

Cancelled ALL contests

Their odds are still copied from bet365's provider, and are available for (much) shorter periods of time than competition. Their vig is high, and the only advantage is (used to be) anonymity and accessibility from anywhere in the world. Now they are blocking country after country.

Great look, isn't it?

You shouldn't be quick to condemn them because they choose to end contests. Every sportsbook is a business — one that goes through plenty of iterative processes to determine what works and what doesn't in order to keep the business profitable in the long run. If they decided that contests no longer cut it for them, that decision is entirely up to them. I'm sure it would be in their terms of service that contests can be stopped at any time at their own discretion.

That kind of mindset won't take you too far as only a small number of sportsbook and casinos offer regular contests and promo.

I like this reply the best so far.

I may need gambling hotline (like so many others) but I'll upgrade myself instead.

Happy birthday to me!
19  Economy / Gambling / Re: Nitrogen.eu just cancelled ALL free contests on: June 28, 2024, 05:14:13 AM
Hope they are developing something new for their users.
They likely are coming up with new promotions for all their members. I cannot confirm they are, but most companies know that you have to provide constant promotions to try to attract gamblers.

They just might not be coming up with new freebie promos. Too many try to get something for nothing and show sites no support except for the freebies. That's cancer IMO to sites.

They're just as likely to shut down shop and leave with player's funds.

Who are they reporting to, gaming comission of a Tropical Island #18? lol

995 pages, wow!

Could someone tell me here (or in PM) what's the best reason for a new player to join Stake? Are there bonuses/giveaways not found anywhere else? I bet small

I bet small on every sport (lol) and I know how to win a poker tournament
