1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: September 18, 2014, 09:43:37 AM
I have received my full refund, via chargeback from Barclaycard.

I had paid through Paypal who refused to do anything due to being over 45 days. Barclaycard have refunded within a month with no questions asked.

I am so glad this is over.....

Well Alpha have banned me on their forums now..... Good approach.... Have been in contact with consumer advicer EU and Alpha actually may be right about their BB policy because EU counts this kind of products as money making machines and therefore consumer rights are not void.  But they still broke some points of the agreement and didn't deliver in time of 8-10 weeks after final payment were asked,  I also paid in full.

No way, consumer law stands. Speak to the Citizens Advice Buereau in the UK.

Are you a Business? I'm certainly not, so there can be no B2B agreement.

I am sending all my correspondence off to the CC Conpany tomorrow and expect a credit within a couple of weeks.

Chargeback with Barclaycard started for my £405 as Paypal will not help as its past 45 days.

Barclaycard seem aware of "Alpha technologies" and say there will not be an issue with the Charge Back once I fill in their form (snail mail) and send it back with latest correspondence from AT and Paypal Dispute.

Please let us know the result of your claim. If Alpha won't refund and this case goes to court and you win we have a perfect precedent and any other customer can go through this process without having any fear to loose the claiming fees.

But if you aren't quick there will be no money left or the company will be wound up.

I would suggest anyone that wants their money back starts right now before you get error 404 from the forum rather than the you are banned message.

I will keep everyone updated here on how I do with my claim.

I cant believe that these Kids (Fiaz and the other guy) think they will get away with all this. Hostility and banning people is not going to fix their business.

I wander how many people will pay the remaing 70% after this stunt - 10 people perhaps? It would be quicker just to burn the money.

EDIT - BTW, Paypal have rejected my claim as its over 45 days. Interesting that A-T state Paypal are withholding funds then. I am going to push Paypal a bit more before going to the CC Company. I think I will sour my Paypal account if I get a chargeback as Paypal will have to bite it anyway.
