1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's Your Take on Celebrities Backing Memecoins? on: Today at 11:56:35 AM
There were reports of inside trading so it's obvious that the developers and the backers were the first ones who were going to make a lot of money and they are going to dump their shares to small investors, I don't believe this will be sustainable this is a trap that if you're late you're going to lose a lot of money.
Investors should focus on coins with fundamentals and usage these mem coins are meant for their developers and influencers to make money at your expense.

Oh really. Insider trading on memecoins? Weird
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's Your Take on Celebrities Backing Memecoins? on: Today at 11:56:08 AM
I just heard of the MOTHER meme coin, so never followed from $100K MC to 100M so it's natural that memes continue to be fomoed by celebrities because they just want to create a pump in a short time, and meme hunters will be happy to hear this news especially until celebrities support it.

A celebrity endorsing memes? I suspect it is an influencer who is paid by the meme so that their shitcoin continues to fly and is noticed by many followers, honestly not at all interested once the price rises 100x, not not wanting profit but I see the risk in it.

No the meme is named after her I think. She's made videos talking about it etc.. it's a meme though but it's pulling a lot of attention and good numbers. Hence I' was curious.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing wisely in memecoins can give you returns. on: June 05, 2024, 09:23:51 PM
Personally the strategy into finding out the best meme coin in the market that are relatively new is so obscure that most of the time its pure speculation with no analysis whatsoever, being followed by influential figure isn't necessarily means its gonna be great investment either, for all I know the jungle doge has been going down literally from 0.0002 to 0.0000007 in may 24th which is crazy.

though fairly speaking if we are talking about weekly price chart then yes it climbs up 300% but still that sudden dump isn't a good sign regardless.

so far from my experience its just all about how many shots you can give into trying out investment in some of the meme coins, with better capital it will means better chance that you will find one that could make up your entire loss and even surpass it sort of just betting on some of them and hopes one turns out well.
personally with the fact that big VCs are pouring it some money to the more well known meme coin anyway i'm probably will not get swayed into investing in newer meme coin unless its just some small pocket change and use it for fun i will have no problem.
but for an investment that fairly big, i will probably rethink my decision, if we are in the early stage of bullish however, its entire different situation.

BENDOG, wif, peng all retraced to gather liquidity. It's known story that you don't go all in on memecoins ahaha. You go with little cash, probably look for airdrop opportunities on the memecoin if there's any. Saw binance wrote an article on JUNGLE, its also on Bitget's PoolX. these two events might create an exposure for the token. But as a memecoin. there are risks attached so I'll advise everyone to be careful. But it's sure getting interesting for memes..
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What's Your Take on Celebrities Backing Memecoins? on: June 05, 2024, 03:13:17 PM
Hi everyone, I'm asking because I've witnessed a memecoin named MOTHER, which is backed by Iggy Azalea, go from a $100k market cap to over $100M in less than 7 days, with the potential to even hit $1B, in my opinion. That's amazing and electric if you ask me.

Did you follow this meme coin? What's your opinion on it, and do you think we'll see more memecoins backed by celebrities?

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Launchpads are profitable in terms of investing. on: June 04, 2024, 05:51:57 AM
I have participated in multiple launchpad project in both Binance and Bitget but to be honest we need to have good investment amount in order to gain significantly else you will only get few tokens which wouldn't even worth $10 or $20. But, again these are like free money you get and moreover if we are hesitant to lock the CEC tokens then we have an option of USDT as well we can commit USDT. This will help us earn some money.

It's free money, but it's normal that the higher your commitment the bigger the coin share you get.. talking of launchpads. I noticed bwb launchpad commitment periods starts in few mins. Considering that?
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BEER 🍻 MEMECOIN, will this narrative fly? on: May 30, 2024, 05:19:31 AM
BEER memecoin on Solana aims to unite beer drinkers worldwide, positioning itself as a universal currency of enjoyment.
With the amount of beer drinkers in the world, it is no surprise that many would join in on this memecoin craze even if it is not for the purpose of having profit but just something to have fun with.
Quote
What do you all think about this? Could this narrative drive it to a billion-dollar market cap?
I don't want to get ahead of myself since it is still a memecoin after all but I can think of ways to utilize this coin. It can be used to buy exclusive or rare beer drinks which could drive up the price of the token itself. So while I can't say for sure, there's definitely some potential there if it is done correctly.
This suggestion is brilliant, if the dev is serious, they can turn this into a billion dollar memecoin like doge & Shiba cos the narrative is good. Since meme feed of hype and there's a considerable one here. I'll get in with some few $$. OP shred a SS that indicates beer is on Bitget. I'll check and revert.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / space themed memes gaining more ground.. on: May 30, 2024, 05:11:17 AM
I've noticed a resurgence of space-themed meme coins on X recently. The latest one that caught my attention is Felix, which I find appealing for its space-themed meme potential. I'm closely monitoring it before its launch. Previously, dog and cat themes were popular; do you think space-themed narratives might be the next trend to gain traction?

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi continues to evolve with projects like TAIKO on: May 28, 2024, 11:39:34 PM
Taiko at a first glance prides itself as the most friendly Ethereum scaling solution but I don't think it's anywhere close and there are dozens of other projects that does the same thing. I didn't get to use their testnet but I have a couple of friends that did and their experiences were nothing to write home about. For a project that wants to the most user-friendly rollup and most of its features are usable due to terrible ux. The Mainnet will be in full swing soon and I'd be on the lookout to see how its ecosystem fares.

As for TKO tokens, I will probably skip for now until the price stabilizes at a good zone for price discovery.

With this ecosystem you still stand by your words?? for TKO? someone mentioned it's on Bitget pre market. Imo that should be a decent price to consider before tge
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How are your meme bags doing? on: May 28, 2024, 10:06:27 PM
~
I don't think I'm going to be buying for now lol. I was lucky with PEPE since I got pretty good profits from shorting it every now and then, but I highly doubt it's going to happen again for now. I'd expect it to just stream down for a couple of months and I'd probably decide to hold a bit after that and wait till it just pumps up again before restarting my shorts to it.

As for other memecoins, well, too lazy to follow most of them. I only even started PEPE cause my crypto app kept spamming me that it went up/down by 5% in the last hour lol.
You've been shorting pepe? You've got balls man.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How are your meme bags doing? on: May 28, 2024, 10:05:53 PM
I have not experienced.any memecoin  bull run or All Time High. Though it might have happened but I was not aware since I am not a user of memecoins. And the dogemob you mean will be listing very soon in bitget centralized exchange with $100,000 worth of token which is a nice one to start up. And from what you have said if the token have a community support then it will be good to invest. The dogemob token has been mentioned before but I didn't take it serious at that time. And we pray that it does well in the cryptocurrency market.
I think you need to experience the feeling. It's good if it goes your way then bad if it doesn't ahaha. Yes it's listed on Bitget already and went from $5m mcap to about $6.7m in few hours the last time I checked probably due to thr PoolX farming you mentioned... the community is okay and active and the admin is interactive too. I'll be watching this like I stated while keeping an eye on other memecoins 😎
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How are your meme bags doing? on: May 28, 2024, 01:41:58 PM
It's no secret that memecoins kick-started the previous bull cycle, and I think we're seeing it happen again right now. Memes like PEPE (which recently smashed its all-time high), WIF, FLOKI, PENG, MAGA, and others have shown significant signs lately. I've also added some new memes to my portfolio, like Dogemob.

I got in around a $5 million market cap. It has an active community, multiple CEX listings (https://x.com/DogeMobOfficial/status/1795072217903968742?t=mKajWRG0JywqTGhum7fm-g&s=19), and lots more. I think it's looking green for meme enthusiasts like myself. What do you all think?

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should You Consider RUNES•X•BITCOIN? A Look at This New Project on: May 28, 2024, 04:27:12 AM
Since the inception of runes after bitcoin halving, the market has not been good for the tokens. But the market might later be good because I can remember the time of ORDI, SATS and RATS, the market was not so good at first. Just be seeing them nothing more than other altcoins and invest only the amount that you can afford to lose on them. If you make money, then sell it. But if you lose instead, you can afford to lose the money.

True, initially especially ORDI..it was sluggish that I was tempted to sell some of my bags earlier. But this is a memecoin though and has a good hype. It's all over twitter. Scheduled listing on the 30th with an opportunity to farm it via POOLx.

14  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Has Trading Competitions competitions led you to challenge your skills? on: May 26, 2024, 06:56:39 AM
When you don't know about trading at all, how can you even know how to cope with trading competition? You will probably just be like a novice who is handed a keyboard to play for the congregation. When I first heard about trading, although it was Forex trading, I thought it was just some simple thing I could do and make huge money with, but after I lost some money with it, I just realized that it's something you have to properly learn about the principles involved, learn about the tools to use, and learn how to develop your trading strategy. Trading is not so simple that you can know how to trade after engaging in competition. You even need trading knowledge to be able to join the competition.

I guess I didn't include that I didn't engage with real funds in my post. actually when I was participating, I was in both demo copy & future trading in competition, these things enhanced my trading proficiency and efficiency and especially because it was more like challenge with trading competition. I know in general, there is demo trading, but what makes it interesting when there is no status of you being top 50 ? I find it more engaging when there's a leaderboard or ranking system to track progress. That's what I was trying to convey.

there are many ways to learn trading, and this was just one learning experience for me. Smiley

Trading is a touch mental skills. Since you had a great experience with the former, I think you should keep up with the next edition & members registration has began. I wish you 🤞. You could watch smc entries on YouTube to shape your skills too..
15  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't You Think the Power of Flexible Savings Counts? on: May 25, 2024, 05:30:08 AM
So I expanded my research and discovered the apy on Bitget PoolX is 18.97% for USDT & 28.61% on ETH. The highest I've seen during this study. Maybe I'll expand my search. If you're holding ETH, I believe this is a way to grow assets without getting caught up in the day-to-day market fluctuations.
I know that you're shilling this exchange but I cannot find that poolx and only find out the savings which is about 4.5% for USDT.
And with ETH, it is 3%.

While I still use Binance and Okex for different reasons, I still believe that this means of increasing one's holdings can go a long way, because if one saves up $100K he would be getting $2K monthly and that's enough than risking to lose everything to high leverages, how do you see this to count for traders and enthusiasts?
If I've got that amount, I won't be confident depositing it on any centralized exchange to be honest even with attractive rates.

I think some top exchanges pull billions of $$ in daily volumes.i don't think depositing that is risky, I just feel proper research needs to be done and stick with platforms with some good reputation. Here's what I got from Twitter. Also noticed PoolX is flexible & you earn hourly too. Might take a look further.

I understand what their volume is getting and there is no doubt that they get a lot. But the thing is, you don't hold the private keys whenever you deposit to an exchange. It's a centralized exchange and you have no problem if you trust them. However, that fact won't change even if you trust them solely and the entire volume of theirs is getting billions daily. Look at the most popular exchanges in the past, they were also trusted but what happened..

I understand your point I use dex too, but you can't completely rule out cex influence and investment in the crypto space. They still play a major role. Since the FTX saga I think some exchanges are taking rensponsibilty rn. Bitget POR funds & merlkle tree, binance safu funds and I think bybit has some too. Those are examples. I believe we shouldn't ignore their effort because the past has been rocky..there's still more to discover mate..
16  Other / Serious discussion / Re: What has football taught you ? on: May 24, 2024, 02:04:33 PM
Loving football and playing from a much tender age to this extent, I just had a quick view of my past in football of the pitch and on the pitch, a little of what I have observe and learnt from football are viz;
•To believe in myself.
•Humility.
•To be patient, while trying to hunt down my goals.
•Not to give up in life, that's why we have two halves first half and second half,so as to give a second trail.
•Taught me team work and cooperation.
•Not to be selfish, while trying to get my goals.
A whole lot to say, majority are football lovers and have that which over time they have got to learn, what are viz ?

One word loyalty. Been a man united fan for over 15yrs now. I'm in my 30's & not looking to stop anytime soon😆

18  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Scam ads on Bitget on: May 23, 2024, 06:24:56 AM
Sorry for your loss and I had been using Bitget recently but haven't had this experience but precautions are always necessary and I am bit shocked to see how these traders can change the price and I think there needs to be a system which should notify us if price changes and should proceed only post our confirmation like it happens in Binance as this is the biggest loophole and guess what it's your own countrymen cheating you.

Yeah true you're right, I haven't had the experience too. Going through the thread I saw a mention that the loophole seems to have been fixed, that's quick action imo and they need to be commended for that. Our countrymen is funny, leveraging any little opportunity to play smart.
19  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Most Traders are Not Profitable on: May 23, 2024, 06:19:19 AM
Most Traders are not profitable cause they simply don't learn about the basics of trading before starting it ,Many think it is a quick get rich business so they focused on the money instead of acquiring Trading knowledge and skills think that why the failure sets in at the very beginning for most traders.
Every beginner who doesn't learn about trading will of course trade like gambling and not do any analysis before deciding to buy a coin and this will cause them to lose the money they use for trading, if as a beginner they trade because they think they will can easily become rich in trading, of course this is a very wrong understanding of trading, as a beginner of course they have to understand trading well in order to make a profit from trading and this requires a process that is not short and we also have to be patient in going through it. This process is to be able to get good results from the trading we do.

This is facts. Trading is strictly learning before earning..but most people wants to jump the process and focus on the earning alone without learning..I've been trading for few years now & I'm still learning ahah.
20  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My trading method on spot market with this year on: May 23, 2024, 06:17:32 AM
I have not seen anyone try DCA with altcoins, and I do not know whether it was a successful strategy or not.
1000 dollars is a good amount for a beginner. If you could do DCA with Bitcoin, it would be better. Stellar has not reacted well in the past years, so what is the reason for you to invest in it?

I use the DCa method for alts. But to effect this, you need to have basic TA knowledge so you'll know the support zones etc.
