I have to suspect a fair amount of it is asics. Unless the rumors of thousands of GPUs at a time going straight from factory to mining farms in China is true. There simply have not been enough GPUs distributed in the "western" world to equal that hashrate.
As for the Shuffle, I went from 4 of 7 - 6 of 17 - 6 of 36. The odds of winning seem extremely worse now, even with 20+ combos dropping each day lately.

I was 4 of 7 back in early March... now I'm 6 of 32. Yuck...

I agree 100% with Phil - If I still had any older GPUs mining I'd be selling them all at the peak right now. The resale value is enormous now and summer heat is coming too.

I'm at 5/17, which has to be super lucky. However, I was mostly looking to get a GPU for other people that I passed them on to. 3 GPUs went to make other people very happy, 1 GPU went in my wife's desktop, and the last one I didn't get because it was something I thought I had not selected (didn't want it but I must have clicked it by accident).

But the chip shortage is real and not going away.
Yes, the shortage of hardware (due to several multiplicative reasons) is keeping mining profitable. I can see it staying this way for the rest of the year.... but getting hardware is tough at any price right now.

To be blunt, my personal opinion is that building a mining rig from scratch in this market, especially with the terrible availability of GPUS (let alone insane prices)... is a BAD idea. I would strongly recommend just buying crypto if you want to get some - you want to buy hardware when it's cheap - that was in the bear market of a year ago - not now.

My wife has a 3060 that was just installed in her personal desktop 2 days ago. I've tested with the developmental driver and it's been running fine at stock settings for almost 30 minutes so far.

anyone have settings for amd 6800xt?
my first one came today using it on smos
core 1200 ram 1800 volts 800
I run my 6900 XT at c 1100 m 2150 v 1000 = 63.5 mh The volts could be less but it's in my personal desktop that's used all day for various tasks so I opted for the 24/7 rock solid stability.

Way too power hungry to be of interest for mining. Perhaps there will be breakthroughs later on to reduce power, but right now it's not at all interesting.

Those are nice deals on the 3900x rigs Phil; I just upgraded my personal desktop a few weeks ago- otherwise I'd be all over one of them.

I have 3 codes for the new AMD promotional game bundle. Price is $30 in BTC or ETH. (I can do other crypto but BTC and ETH are the only options if you want to use an escrow). These require that you have an AMD RX 5500, 5600, or 5700 series GPU installed to activate the offer. You can read all the details form AMD here: https://www.amd.com/en/gaming/raise-the-gameEscrow available at Dream's Marketplace Discord server if you wish to pay the fee for it.

Have any of you tested Kapow (RVN fork) with a Radeon VII? I'm getting 31-32 Mh at the same settings I was using for Eth... just wondering how that compares for everyone else. Immediate profit looks good, but I expect it will plummet within 24 hours as everyone switches to it.

Even if CPU mining isn't always profitable, it's still excellent to have a miner that works with so many algos, even if just for testing purposes. I appreciate all the work you have done over the years on this miner.

When the verification becomes mandatory? I hope you will warn us beforehand)
They will notify us as soon as possible I'm sure. Right now it depends on the Netherlands government to finalize a timeline for the mandatory regulations (as best as I understand it).

That is pretty sweet; nice job my friend! I'm embarrassed to even think of showing my redneck mining setups after seeing the work you put into yours.

Right now the only GPU we have that's worth mining with is my Radeon VII; everything else is either too close to power costs to be worth it, or not even breaking even at $0.10 kw/h

Has anyone noticed any improvements with quad channel RAM vs dual channel for mining RandomX? I thought it might help, but it doesn't seem to make any difference on my first gen threadripper.

My Radeon VII in my daily personal desktop is going strong. The 16 GB of Vram is extremely useful for me in heavily modded games (where every other GPU chokes and ruins performance) and of course it's one of the few semi-profitable GPUs left for mining.

Does anyone know if Yobit exchange is scam exchange? I can trade on this one. Have asked for them to confirm if Gulden wallet is working but no reply. I don't understand why this coin not on any main Asian exchanges. Edit: Yobit looks to be Scam exchange https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4327871.0Many miners with extensive experience (ie those that mined way before the 2017 bull run) refer to Yobit as "Yoshit" due to how crappy and dishonest they are. Don't waste any time or funds on that exchange.

I tested with a stock 5700 XT and got ~2700 KH/s -- I also tested a Radeon VII (tweaked for Monero) and got ~4240 KH/s.
