1  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium showing zero USDT balance, importing seed word fals to recognise wallet on: March 18, 2024, 09:33:13 AM
-snip- so how should we proceed?
Hmm, just emphasize the solution that actual solved the issue in your next reply, then check who's the first to provide that solution.
But since your case solved itself overtime (a simple screenshot will confirm it), you can safely conclude that no one actually given the correct solution.

But if you really want to give the reward, give it to someone who deserves it the most or who took the most effort to help you.
Don't count me in the candidates, BTW.

Hello,

Ok, in that case, is there like a donation I can make to this platform?

Thanks

I think you didn't follow my guide carefully you should be able to see the derivation path under balance below the ETH address look at mine below.
That's strange, my version of mycelium does not display the derivation path like shown in your screenshot, just my address. I wanted to attach a screenshot but can't find the option to do that here.
That's because he didn't mentioned that the derivation path will only show once you enabled it in the settings.
It's in "menu (three dots)->Settings", then toggle the setting "Show address path".

It's also worth mentioning that the secondary account's path should be at account_index 1' (starts with 0' for primary) instead of 2' which is for the third.
See that in his screenshot, it's showing "Ethereum 3".

Hello,

Not sure why I missed the option to activate it in the settings, looked more than once lol. Got it now, I'm gonna do a test with all the info I got from all of you to make sure I am prepared in case it happens again.

Now, I'm not sure how to approach the subject of the reward I have promissed, although many of you have answered and I thank you all for that, only 2 members truly had helped crack the issue sort of, so how should we proceed?

Thanks

Just as I was about to try this method, the mycelium wallet seems to have fully synced and showing the balances correctly  now, will transfer the coins out right now.

Also, I cannot find the derivation path of the ETH wallet as you mention, there is nothing on that account besides balance info and wallet address, this is the latest version of mycelium.

Thanks again everyone.

That's good news if it is showing the balance correctly.
I think you didn't follow my guide carefully you should be able to see the derivation path under balance below the ETH address look at mine below.

In case if the transaction is not successful you can use my method.

And make sure to also transfer all of your funds to a new wallet including BTC and ETH because you already imported the seed phrase to many wallets, which is no longer safe.

Yes, now mycelium seems stable but I took the coins out and will take your advice and create a new one with a new seed for future use.

Thanks.

Myetherwallet  only sees my primary ETH wallet. It does not see my secondary ETH wallet which the USDT tokens are tied to, so that will not work, I will manually add the UDST but the balance will be zero because there are zero USDT tokens on my primary ETH wallet.

Thanks.
Ok I get it in Mycelium would you mind to check the secondary ETH wallet's derivation path you can find it under the balance tab below the ETH address and then use the tool below

- Download the page, save it and run the page offline
- Change it from Bitcoin to ETH and paste the master seed phrase
- and then go scroll down to the bottom and you should be able to see all private keys of your ETH addresses
- after that go to BIP44 tab edit the "account" number use the derivation path that I mentioned above check the sample below as you can see mine is 2
- Once it's done scroll down again to the bottom and you should be able to find the secondary ETH address copy the private key
- And then import it to Myetherwallet and add a USDT token.

Code:
m/44'/60'/2'/0/0
The 2 should be the account number

This should also work for you as I already tested it many times.
And be careful not to talk to any newbies who PM you they are most likely scams.

Thanks for the replies.

Yes, the USDT is activated but showing zero balance while the ETH account on top of which the USDT account is activated on is displaying the correct ETH account.
The swap is 100% successfull that is why I have posted the ETH wallet address, the tokens are there, I even tried to send a small USDT payment to the address to see if it shows up and it did for 30 seconds but then balance went to zero again

I did try importing the seed into Unstoppable wallet but unfortunately it only displays my primary ETH wallet, there is no option to activate another ETH wallet.
I did not know I have to look for a HD wallet only. Also just tried Atomic wallet but with no luck.

Also, there is no option to export the private key in Mycelium wallet specifically for the ETH wallet so my only option is the 12 seed word.

It seems like there are no other options for me, what should I do?

Obviously the bounty is valid.

Thank you.

Hello guys,

I am willing to offer a 100 Usdt or BTC equivalent reward to anyone that helps me crack this problem.

I have Mycelium wallet that contains the following:

1 BTC wallet
1 Primary ETH wallet
1 Secondary ETH wallet with USDT token activated for it.

Yes, you can open as many ETH wallets you want in Mycelium.

I swapped some BTC to USDT using the built in swap function, the swaps were successfull but the tokens do not show up. Etherscan.io does show the usdt tokens are there so I assume it's an internal display issue of the mycelium wallet.
Here's the ETH address in question: 0xFC1B04e83f8FaA74b03F8708387f9a1903Dbd256

I'm using an android phone, it is up to date and same for the Mycelium app itself. Reinstalled it and imported the wallets from the 12 seed words but with no luck, same display issue, even tried doing that on an older android phone with a different mycelium version but again same issue.

The real problem comes now, I tried importing the seed word into Trust wallet, Myetherwallet, Exodus and Metamask. All good but all these wallets see my BTC and ETH wallets but they only see my primary ETH wallet, not my secondary one which contains the USDT tokens.
The ones that do allow creating multiple ETH wallets like Myetherwallet just create a new one and do not display the function of choosing one you have previously created.

I have also forgot to mention my secondary wallet does have a small ETH balance that displays correctly.

Emailed mycelium support this morning but did not receive a reply yet.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.
