1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: March 12, 2018, 05:09:22 AM
I drive nearly 70000 km a year and in this way I popularize the dash. We also promote dash in the store by distributing information leaflets.
https://discoverdash.com/item/pieczywo-mysliborskie/

Very nice job at promoting Dash !!

I totally agree.

This is the Dash receiving address for their store (based on the photo): XyU72b1sjUiksjLHtfJWde58D1W2LB4YUk

Hopefully others will send some Dash support their way.

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SUMO] SUMOKOIN - 🔏 Digital Cash For High-Confidential Transactions 🔏 on: August 16, 2017, 03:44:50 AM
I can't get a connection with the wallet. Also, Cryptopia seems to be having trouble getting one too:

https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/CoinInfo/?coin=SUMO

addnode=

What's going on with the nodes here?

I dont have a problem there  ...

If there's no nodes in Cryptopia's list, their wallet is going to have a hard time processing transactions, which is sorta important.

If you're part of the SUMO staff, I'd recommend you reaching out to the exchange soon and making sure they have nodes to connect to.

Bill is the wallet-dev. He will read this for sure.

At least 10 more seed nodes will be added by the end of this week. Thanks for alert!

What does it take to host a seed node? Are there instructions? I have some Digital Ocean instances that i can run them on, assuming it does not take too many resources.

uh oh

Does this mean this Moanero coin is a ponzi? A scam?

Is it being actively developed?

I thought they were going to have a gui a year ago.

Huh. I wonder what happened. I wonder where all of their efforts have gone...

Their gui wallet doesn't even function properly xD
Funds go missing, transactions lost
Zero usability.. and their lead dev is usually found on the poloniex trollbox talking smack about random things..
Does not bode well for them

They must be a cancer on the crypto world.

We should see about getting them eradicated.

BTW, since I have icy on ignore, I assume he was in full agreement as to the scam that is that M-coin.

Nice BTC and Dash technical analysis (price) by by Aaron Casillas: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lw4LdtG_v0I

TLDR: buy btc and buy dash

It is a good analysis, and I don't want to take anything from it, but... just buy the dip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0akBdQa55b4

If you delete the file with something like "rm debug.log", the linux will not free up the space until after all processes that are running have been stopped.

So, you need to do something like "> debug.log" which will free up the space while the program is running.

Someone answered this in the past couple of pages with a cron entry that will do what you want without you having to manually do it.

It took nearly 24 hours to move off page 6000.

At page 5,000 it was like 20 seconds  Undecided

What's your point?

Edit: Curiosity got the best of me.

Page: 5000 was about 19 hours long.
Page: 6000 was about 18 hours long.

4000 or 5000, can't really remember. You had to be there to understand. lol

There was a bum fight to be on page 4000 or 5000, and then when everyone thought they had secured their spot in history, the admins went and deleted loads of posts. So if you were on page 4010 or 5010, you had a much better chance of making it.

Why is this relevant?

Well, you had to have been part of that period of time when the community was forming and forging its personality.

I have been here since like before 1000. I feel like the guy in the back corner of the party that no one remembers  Cry

Man...I just checked...my first post on Darkcoin/DASH was in the beginning of Feb, 2014....I think there is only a few of us left here from that era....LOL

Yeah, some of us have had to add a +1 to the end of our accounts. ;-)
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [$XVG] VERGE [POW][MultiAlgo][BLACKHOLE][Entire Line of TOR/i2P Resources] on: May 01, 2016, 06:29:00 AM
Just got Verge wallet running on a Synology in a docker instance!

Until the instructions are in the repo, you can use these instructions:

To run on a Synology:
1. Create a folder that will have the verge wallet configuration. Open up 'Filestation', select 'home', then 'create folder'. I'll use 'verge'.
2. This folder should be visible to your computer, because you will need to create a configuration file in this folder. Follow the instructions at: https://github.com/vergecurrency/VERGE for more info. Be sure to create the VERGE.conf in a folder called ".VERGE". I have "home" mounted to my mac, so I see it as '/Volumes/home/verge/.VERGE/VERGE.conf'. Be sure to *NOT*
set 'daemon=1', if so the container will keep stopping.
3. Start docker. Click 'main menu', then 'Docker'. (If you do not see that option, you will have install the package.)
4. Click on 'Image', then 'Add', 'from URL', and enter 'https://hub.docker.com/r/mkinney/verge/' (edit use the official images 'https://hub.docker.com/r/vergecurrency/verge/' )
5. Wait for it to download.
6. Click on the image in the list, then click 'Launch', feel free to change the 'Container Name' or ports (but the defaults should be fine).
7. Accept (or change if you want) the Step 2 options (resource limitation, shortcut on desktop, enable auto-restart). I
think it makes sense to check "shortcut" and "auto restart".
8. Summary (click the 'Advanced settings' button - this is easy to miss!)
9. Under 'Volume', click 'add folder' and select a folder (I'm using '/homes/mkinney/verge'). For the 'Mount path', enter '/coin/home'
10. Start up the container. You should see files in the .VERGE directory.

Good luck!

Network gH/s
0.00000000

 Undecided Huh

Explorers and such have trouble reading network hash when a coin is multi algo, the hash is comping from5 different algos.
At least the diff is down to more normal numbers

https://www.blockexperts.com/xvg seems to handle it...
https://prohashing.com/explorer/ is confused...

I'm having a hard time syncing the wallet.
Compiled the latest git, cleared the blockchain, it hangs and only gets orphans or continuously reorganises the chain.
Stopping and restarting may help, still I can't reach the last block.
Any snapshot?

I have a little problem to start the new wallet

Just means it detected the old blockchain data.  Delete it when possible and reload wallet; should be fixed.

Where can i find the old blockchain?

EDIT: Found it and wallet started Smiley

For rest that might need to find it: http://cryptochainer.com/dir/blockchains-available/blockchains-page-2/

Is there a way to create vanity verge wallet addresses?

yes, ill upload a vanity wallet address generator shortly, thanks for reminding me.

vergecurrency.com/downloads/vanitygen-0.20-win.zip or
https://github.com/Smeagol-Gollum/dogecoin-securecoin-litecoin-bitcoin-namecoin-vanitygen

There's a slight bug in the repo above, so I forked it so it will compile on mac:
https://github.com/mkinney/dogecoin-securecoin-litecoin-bitcoin-namecoin-vanitygen

    ./vanitygen -D DERP
    Difficulty: 78508
ERROR: could not determine processor count

The chairs say everything's ok.

Can you provide a link/info? This looks to be people from the Federal Reserve, which is a privately held corporation by unknown persons that have a monopoly on creating the money supply in the United States.

I will NEVER invest or do ANYTHING with respect to the troll-coin that iCEBREAKER continually talks about. iCEBREAKER is constantly spamming and trolling and several threads. I refuse to quote the troll-coin and nor should you.
