Awesome Miner version 6.2.6
...
 GPU mining
  - Monero (XMR) is now listed as CryptoNightV4 (CryptoNightR).
...

Will an AMD Compliant miner be added as well?

EDIT: NM - I see it XMRig AMD Miner

Has anyone tried to flash the firmware of the Antminer S9 with the new Braiin OS through the Update firmware function of Awesome Miner?

Is there a way to use Rules to be notified when a Pool Group reaches a profit value?
It should be possible if you create a Profit Profile that only uses this Pool Group.

You can then create a rule simliar to "Example: Start mining when profitability is above a defined value":
https://support.awesomeminer.com/support/solutions/articles/35000085907-rules-detect-mining-issues-and-automate-tasks

In this example, the action is to start the mining. You can change this to use the Notification action instead.

Appreciate the response!  If I have more than one Profit Profile, how does the rule evaluate which of the two is at or above value?
OK - now I see the difficulty here. The trigger for "Revenue and profit" is considering all miners that you have enabled for the rule (either all miners or specific miners you apply the rule for).

If you configure the rule to look at the Profit Profile, it will look at the Profit Profile for each of the miners enabled for the rule. So you do need to have one miner using this Profit Profile for the concept to work. Based on your description, this may not be the case and you simply want to get notifications without having any miners using the Profit Profile already. Is that correct?

This trigger would then need to be improved to allow you to set a specific Profit Profile, not related to any of the profiles for the miners.

Yes, you got it and that would be ideal!  If a Profit Profile, Profile Group or even an Algorithm class in Coins (based on profit) could be leveraged for a trigger without an association to a miner this would give me what I'm looking for.  Thank you for digging in.

Hey guys, looking to further optimize my 5970 rig.  I was completely stable prior to the 0.5 release and now having to reboot my box twice daily to keep the cards from faulting.  I was pulling about 330 MHx2 and was hoping someone else who is using a similar card could share an idea or two on what I could to to push up the limit some.   I've also noticed that my second GPU's Mem is clocking at 1000 Mhz when I've told it to stay at 175.  Am I doing something stupid?

Here's my current configuration:

Im propably the biggest noob who dares give advice here so you might want to wait for confirmation but to me it seems that your feeding stock voltage to a highly underclocked card. It may or may not be the source of your problems, but either way I'd lower the core voltage.
As mentioned multiple times in this thread, do not change profiles 0 and 1 unless you need to.   You can cause instability by OCing the lower profiles.[/size] Profile 2 is what is used during mining.

Loud and clear Lodcrappo, thanks.  Smiley - So... can I just comment out profiles 0 and 1 and let them run stock with settings for 2 at what I have them at?  Is that the preferred method?  Thanks again everyone!

Core isn't underclocked.  Stock for 5970 is 725.

Thanks guys - here is my corresponding BAMT dashboard:

Do a search in this thread for "Mother" you will see why your card is at 725 and 1000.

Also, you may want to reconsider 100% fan...unless you enjoy replacing fans every few months.

Finally, about the comment above....the # in front of a line means that line is ignored so....# core_voltage_2: 1.125000 would not change the core voltage. It would do nothing until the # is removed.

Thanks for the tip Isokivi! I've deleted the file /live/image/BAMT/CONTROL/ACTIVE/noOCx and my Mem is now back to normal 175 Mhz speed.  Other than that, are there some clocks I should try to get my performance up with minimal compromises?

Thanks OP for the tool!  This is part of the BAMT image and is a super awesome/easy way to configure the settings.  I just recently started having a problem when setting the mem/core values on my 5970.

Code:
root@miner:~# atitweak -m 175 -e 850 -A 0
Setting performance level 0 on adapter 0: engine clock 850MHz, memory clock 175MHz
Setting performance level 1 on adapter 0: engine clock 850MHz, memory clock 175MHz
Setting performance level 2 on adapter 0: engine clock 850MHz, memory clock 175MHz
ADL_Overdrive5_ODPerformanceLevels_Set failed.

No matter what I set, it always returns the same failed code.  Any ideas?

TIA

In my rig, Xorg keeps crashing ( cause 100% CPU usage). Coldreboot does not work sometimes, and if it does, only one of 2 5850s is recognized after a reboot. I had to manualy switch PSU off for abit then turn the system back on.

What might cause such problem? I know its not the GPU or overclocking.

The rig can mine for couple hrs or so b4 Xorg crashed.

This sounds familiar...what MB are you using?

I've had similar issues with my setup.  i.e... one card being recognized, CPU pegged etc... Whenever this happens I just re-image te USB and replace the pool and bamt file.  It has *always* solved the issue for me.

Thanks ssateneth!  Dropping the mem to 300 worked! I am now able to clock the core up to 970 (60c) on one card and 870 (63c) on the other.  One thing I noticed as well is that the cards are stable at v 1.088 and I had to set this v for all three profiles (0,1,2).  To push the cards harder, what do you think is the best way to approach this?  Raise/lower the mem or increase the voltages slightly?

Any ideas why I cannot OC this card?  I'm get a steady 316MHs with the current settings but feel I am underutilizing this card.  If I adjust the core speed to 774 or 776 the card stops mining.  What am I doing wrong?
