1  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: What are the major problems that Nigeria is facing now? on: May 31, 2024, 10:45:32 AM
Some of us fit talk say na the government be our problem for this country but if we think am well we go see say we too as citizens dey put hand spoil am, our politicians has bribed and corrupted most of the youths that they do their biddings for a token. It can only take the grace of God to revive this country, even the youths that are lamenting that the oldies are not capable of handling the situation are not any better than the oldies because everyone is only bothered about his welfare and that of his household but I believe the youths will/might do the right thing (hopefully)

What I think should be done in order to make the country better is to change the entire system, strip these old men off their positions and appoint younger men/women in their 30s then Nigeria will be better again.

I obviously came here to help share my own knowledge of the question asked by OP and I can see that other users have provided OP with answers and there's nothing more to say/add so to avoid plagiarism I think this thread should be locked
3  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: When investing in Bitcoin, don't forget to invest in your health on: May 30, 2024, 04:54:35 PM
I remember there was a thread similar to this last year.

I use this keyword on search search: invest in your health Bitcointalk naija. And this is what I found:

Your health is your greatest wealth and assets.

Although, it is a long time already which was August 2023. I mean the last post on the thread. But it would have been better if we can be actively discussing something like this on a single thread.

It is good to have this kind of topic because health is wealth.
I knew I had seen something similar too and I lost track of it a long time ago I don't even know how/where to look for the thread until I saw the link you shared and seeing it being recreated by @Barikui1 again was a good idea because some of us don't have time to go looking for old threads unless it's necessary to do so, I spend some much time in the forum and other platform that most times I forget to take care of myself (mentally and physically) this thread reminded me of what I should do on a daily basis.

Government too is to be blamed Sha cuz if you go all these government offices no workers yet they won't  employ fresh graduates .Na only God go help us
Those office you go to without seeing staffs, there are people collecting salary monthly for those vacant positions. They are called ghost workers.  Most times they are relatives to the managers, their friends, friends of influential men who are too old to come to work or are not fit for official duty and so on. When salary comes, the managers have their percentage from the salaries paid to these ghost workers. The vacancy is only physical and not in the pay roll. The government is not to blame alone, although everything stems from their poor organization of the country,  corruption and favoritism is everywhere in the grassroot.
Take for example in the civil service, those that retires replaced themselves with their relatives, thereby leaving no employment space for fresh graduates.
Everybody contributes to this mess as its evident in our daily activities, but I still believe that the situation is redeemable, but the governing system needs a serious restructure.
A true definition of "we are our own problem" I agree with you for saying that everyone contributes to this mess we find ourselves today in this country, and what if the new president is doing everything without his powers to redeem our falling country and someone somewhere is doing everything too to make sure that it doesn't work out for his/her selfish interest. I have seen close friends receive salary for doing nothing at all simply because they have uncles (corrupt politicians) making it happen on their behalf and no one is doing anything about it.
5  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Is education really important anymore for the Nigerians? on: May 30, 2024, 04:05:19 PM
Education dey very important no be only for Nigeria sef, you go agree with me say e get very big difference between a literate and an illiterate as I don see people dey embarrass themselves because Dem no fit fill form for bank and even for public place to express yourself as an adult go dey hard if you no comport yourself well.  And as the country be so I go advice say make you also carry handwork join body just incase work no reach you after school

Mobile phones are a lot easier for me based on the ease and convenience of carrying it around, because I do a lot of walking around and it might be stressful and risky for me to walk around carrying a laptop and bringing it out just to reply comments or make post here.

Also due to the fact that phones can be more discreet to use and more economically friendly as regards data consumption cost,  I find it more easier and more enjoyable to use, unless I want to make an elaborate post or review then that's when a laptop or desktop would come in as number one option of choice.
Mobile phones are a lot easier for me as well and I don't think I can ever get use to using my laptop to browse through the forum, desktop are the worst if I must say, imagine sitting down in one position for hours working, I'd be restless and uncomfortable. Mobile phone makes it easy because it's always with me everywhere I go but there's a disadvantage and that is you can't make reviews, prepare a report table, upload images and add data with just a mobile phone so I guess I have to start getting use to using my laptop from now on.

13  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Why most beginners so much believe bitcoin can make rich on: May 23, 2024, 03:38:21 PM
Na why em be sae any newbie wey you wan introduce for bitcoin investment or the one wey don invest on am already, you need to tell them the risk wey d involve and how volatile the market dey so that them no go carry hope put for bitcoin to make them rich in a short time.

I think the cause of everything na because newbies are not informed about how bitcoin  investment d properly. Na why em be sae them they carry a wrong belief about bitcoin investment to make them rich quick.

To minimize this wrong beliefs wey newbies get for bitcoin, em go d good if we can take as a duty to the lecture newbie about what and what they shouldn't expect from their bitcoin investment. By doing that alone, I think it will go a long way for them to be less bothered when bitcoin price is declining in price or not going by their plans to make them rich in short time.
You dey very correct for this talk wey you talk, even for social media the way some self acclaimed Bitcoin Lord dey brag how Bitcoin made Dem rich without a short period of time, Dem no dey really explain the risks and losses wey dey involved to invest in Bitcoin. E get one Bitcoin guru wey I dey follow for social media and em dey only gist us about the profits em dey get and 90% of his followers has this belief that Bitcoin makes you rich instantly. Even for forum here sef, oldies no dey really lecture us for this thing and e no good.

So sad to see that Best Change Signature Campaign have come to an end. They are the most powerful project that I have ever seen in this Bitcointalk forum, their good work in this forum will forever be in our heart.
You’re barely 3months old on the forum yet you’re sad about the end of a signature campaign. I don’t know what impact BestChange has had in your bitcointalk experience, you will be glad to know that the platform is still very active and you can use their services anytime.
Yeah I haven't been in the forum for long but I have seen their services and heard a lot of good things about the signature campaign, it's unfortunate that newbies aren't allowed to participate in any signature campaign because I have always wanted to be in BESTCHANGE campaign and as the name implies it is indeed one of the best so far.
