I'm testing on a bunch of identical Nvidia 1070 rigs, will post back feedback.

v0.6 is pretty solid on my 1070's so I'll be rolling it out to my farm shortly.

I'll let you guys beta test. 0.5.8 works too good for me on Linux to screw around with.

hello guys, i have a newbie question... Could I use an amd and nvidia GPU in the same rig with SMOS?
I saw a file created for nvidea and another one for amd, but i didnt find any of them for both.
Thanks!

Hey guys, please help!

Did you test it? it's a beta

He asked and I answered. It states clearly in the url that it is beta.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - Easy to use GPU MINING Operating System on: December 24, 2017, 10:33:32 AM
Is there any way to notify me when a rig goes down?

Not at the moment. We (well at least I) am waiting for the day when it will be implemented...

I'm waiting for an API that we can use.. Then i can at least start writing the apps to do notifications, reporting, dashboards / metrics etc.

Hi,

Please update dstm:

Version 0.5.7

reduce cpu load
minor performance improvements
con: use single pool connection
con: ssl: clear session data before reconnect
nvml: handle invalid values

I've been doing some testing. It fixes a large amount of stability issues i've had with Nvidia's 1070/1060's.

Just throwing the question out there as my clients are asking me:

Is there any NVIDIA love coming for your CryptoNote?
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - Easy to use GPU MINING Operating System on: December 19, 2017, 07:34:49 AM
I prefer use https://hiveos.farm with this moterboard I find too much fail now with SMOS.
On ETH for memory 2250 is TOO HIGH in my opinion I put 2100/2150 maximum
For weeks when SMOS doesn't reboot or reload when there is a problem. All is green but the rig is freeezing you must look at the console to see time is 2 or 3 hours sooner.

I ordered some B250 minig expert to migrate my other rigs on hiveos.

WOAH! I like SMOS but HIVEOS is a game changer...

Busy downloading HiveOS now. Can you tell me what the subscription costs are or add it to the frontpage?

Thank you

Can anyone explain why it's clearly configured both via the web and the configuration to set the power limit to 80 but instead its applying those high power limits?

alright, recently all my rigs won't overclock no matter what I do. I tested it on windows and they reach their 22.2 mh/s but on simple mining they get stuck at 18.3 mh/s
changed my ssd, changed ssd to usb, changed risers, changed options on simple mining..

Anyone knows what might be wrong?

Screenshot of your overclock settings please.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - Easy to use GPU MINING Operating System on: December 14, 2017, 12:56:55 PM
SMOS is simple
Writing a script to modify n rigs and centralize logs would not take a long time

I'm not trying to centralize logs. I'm trying to give my clients the ability to view the simplemining.net CONSOLE button via the web, just with scrolling enabled.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - Easy to use GPU MINING Operating System on: December 14, 2017, 11:46:11 AM
Feature Request:

Please would you enable scrolling when viewing the console via the Simplemining.net website?
When you have +12 GPU's, not having the ability to scroll means my clients are unable to see all the info needed when using --peg options when mining Equihash.

4 posts above you have the exact answer to your problem

Why would i want to implement a temp solution which will need to be continuously re-applied with every single SMOS update?
Hack jobs are fine when you have 1 or 2 machines.

The feature request was clear: enable scrolling when viewing the console via the Simplemining.net website.

Anyone know why my miner would appear offline on the website, but still be online and mining to my pool?

Normally rebooting your router solves this (at least it does for me.. Seems like a DNS related problem on my end when that happens).
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - Easy to use GPU MINING Operating System on: December 13, 2017, 02:17:50 PM
I would say that this coincidence.
Rigs can do that and i guess something is wrong with riser/gpu, power or many other things. Most probably riser.
Anyway it means that system didnt found any GPU. So check riser etc.

Bug report:

tytanick, I have 11 rigs with 12/13 cards each. All of them Nvidia and all of them misbehaving in terms of processor load.
I believe I've figured it out: The majority of people won't notice it, but a LOT of the instability is caused by cronjobs executing before the previous one has finished.

When you have less than 10 cards, the nvidia-smi and related crontabs are executed and finished within the time before the next cron runs.
When you have > 10 cards, it takes a HECK of a long time for the crons to finish, there by putting tremendous load both on the CPU (and consuming boatloads of wattage / power) and the GPU's to continuously pull stats.

I highly recommend you write a master script / function that does a process listing prior to executing and only execute if the old process is done executing.

Again, i am really sorry for that problem on servers.

Is is not possible to display the average temp before displaying the highest setting on the default page when displaying all the rigs?

The changes you've implemented no longer allows me to copy/paste the temps into a spreadsheet to get the average temp for my clients.
Even toggling the view, it doesn't show the fan speeds and card temps.

Update dashboard v3030
- added messaging system with news
- support ticket system integrated with admin@simplemining.net
- compacted view in rig list core/mem/fan fields for better redability
- focus into field after clicking on RENAME
- added sorting into Assig Group alphabetically
- added SELECT ALL RIGS on rig list
- added temperature coloring to yellow if at least one GPU has 78+ C and red with 85+ C

In terms of displaying the temperature of the cards, is it possible to show the average across all the cards instead of the hottest?
