1  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: 🟧⚡❤️ Redivivus - A social network powered by bitcoin. 🌎 [PRE-ALPHA] on: June 03, 2024, 09:12:55 AM
@Chymist I will get back to you on all of that later. Had a bad night lol, gunna get some sleep and come back with a clearer head to answer your questions.

And thanks for the grammar check, I'll fix that!

I'll edit this post with the answers.

And no, Loyce had strong points. It's okay 🧡. I'm more focused on the project.
2  Other / Meta / Re: To all new forum users. on: June 03, 2024, 09:01:28 AM
Not 40, just a couple have an issue.

At least your taking the time to talk to me about it. The other dude just left the trust and dipped, 🙄.

I'm sorry, k?

That is unsolicited spam? How is an invite unsolicited.   --snip--

Absolutely.

Bitcointalk PMs are not destined to become like mailboxes filled with crappy advertising flyers.
Do you know how much PM some of us already receive per day? Can you imagine how many it would be if every project advertised (aka invited) in this way?

Thank you, I'll stick to there and end it.

Again, really sorry, Loyce.
3  Other / Meta / Re: To all new forum users. on: June 03, 2024, 08:59:02 AM
You couldn't just explain that to me privately?
4  Other / Meta / Re: To all new forum users. on: June 03, 2024, 08:55:44 AM
Yep I do, means not asked for.

When I invited my friends to my baby shower, some said no.

They didn't go on my social media and report me/make a fool of me publicly.

Sure you can say I did that to myself.
5  Other / Meta / Re: To all new forum users on: June 03, 2024, 08:32:29 AM
I mean, I'm sending out invites individually and not CCing anyone.

How is sending a single pm spam?

My project is not a casino or shit coin unfortunately, so its not getting alot of attention. I thought sending PM of an invitation I worked on to users I looked up to was a good idea.

This is what I sent them:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5497391.0

It would mean the world if you wanted to join sometime.

Also, discussion on my thread is equally appreciated 🧡.

That is unsolicited spam? How is an invite unsolicited. It's an invite, you can just msg me back and say no thank you. Soil my account with neutral trust? Kind of an over reaction no?
6  Other / Meta / To all new forum users. on: June 03, 2024, 08:24:59 AM
Hey so I just found out there's a limit to how many private messages you can individually send per hour.

The rate is 40 per hour. Didn't know that before now, as I was sending invitations to my club out to various forum users.

It is a rate of 40, not 40 PMs in one hour so keep that in mind.

Thought I would share. Thanks.
7  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: 🟧⚡❤️ Redivivus - A social network powered by bitcoin. 🌎 on: June 02, 2024, 06:04:16 PM
Discussion encouraged!

Redivivus invitations will be sent out to various forum users of my choosing.

If you do not receive an invitation and want to join, just send me a private message so I can give you details on how to join.

Redivivus is in the "Pre-Alpha" Stage of development.

No, Redivivus isn't a game that's in development.

However, pre-alpha is a good way to describe where it is at right now. I am focused on building a userbase first, before more features are added.

8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Being a Bitcoiner Boosts Financial Literacy and Personal Growth on: June 01, 2024, 04:51:24 PM
I agree, it sure does! The number one thing bitcoin taught me is time management.

I feel financial literacy comes when studying any currency based hobby or career path. The personal growth part when it comes to Bitcoin is so much more IMO.

Bitcoin is a symbol of free will. It's very binary. Studying it from a philosophical standpoint opened my eyes to exactly how this world works.

Go bitcoin! 😁🧡
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't forget to HODL your BTC on: June 01, 2024, 04:44:26 PM
Don't fall for the trap. Do NOT sell.

Bitcoin is freedom. Do not sell your freedom. Hodl it until fiat goes away entirely. Give it to your grandkids if you have to. Do not sell your freedom.
You contradict yourself.

You said Bitcoin is freedom, but you're forcing people to not sell their coins, so where's the freedom lol.

Freedom is free, it's up to you and you can do anything with your coins, instead of do based on other people wants.

I really doubt fiat would be gone completely, it's impossible.

I don't understand how we can get freedom if we are not selling at all.
Probably if @OP got sick and he don't have any money left except Bitcoin, he probably choose to not cure his disease and see what will happen to his life, rather than sell some of his coins. Tongue

Yeah bro. Me typing on the internet is "forcing". 😂

Wanna talk about forcing? I felt forced to change my OP because of the way some users responded. How about that? 🙄
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't forget to HODL your BTC on: June 01, 2024, 04:37:58 PM
Exactly, it's the custodial wallets that will be our downfall. Just get a ledger it's so simple!
What is the ledger you implied?

Bitcoin public ledger, I agree with you, if you implied it.

Ledger wallet, I disagree, if you meant so and you need to read warnings on risk of Ledger Recover.

Ledger Recovery - Send your (encrypted) recovery phrase to 3rd parties entities
Ledger Recover: What The Hell is Happening? With aantonop and lopp.

Oh! Didn't know about this. I changed my OP to just say self-custody and cold storage. Shouldn't be naming brands anyway when talking about something so broad just as HODL.

🧡

Also,

Well said, OP. But your point is misleading you thinking fait will be out of existence is an illusion, no matter how far the world develop fait will still be in use, guess you understand that we can't do anything about that.

Holding has been and is the best approach when it comes to Bitcoin Investment, we need to have patience and as well keep accumulating with a long term goal, and after that you choose what you do with it, not about giving to grand kids or freedom as you say. It the profit, the return that can give one the freedom.

I made the appropriate changes. Yeah, fiat won't go anywhere but it could be less popular than bitcoin one day!

Right? 🤞🏽🧡
11  Other / Meta / Re: The major motivation we have now in BTT on: June 01, 2024, 12:42:04 PM
Vod has a point, here guys. I started using BTT cuz other ppl were doing it, but it honestly never made sense to me 😅.

I don't mean to derail post about the merit sources either. God bless them 🙏🏽.

If we are talking about onboarding many people, we want to adjust our culture to make sense to the common man. Also, BCT is just an anagram of BTC, which is cool. BTT has no C for the coin in BitCoin.

Freedom of speech say what you want of course!

Whales are going to start selling like last cycle.
This cycle can repeats similarly like the past cycle or just similar in fractal or can move differently than the last cycle. We only can know if this cycle completes and we look at data to compare two cycles.

Don't fall for the trap. Do NOT sell.
Saying is easier than doing. I don't say your advise is wrong but this raises a warning for people to look at how they manage their capital, how they use it for investment, all in bitcoin or partially in bitcoin, whether they have savings, reserved money for their lives and emergency.

If they have bad capital and risk management, all their wealth is in bitcoin, they will have to sell their bitcoin to get money even if Bitcoin drops to $50,000 or $40,000, they will have to sell.

Bitcoin is freedom. Do not sell your freedom. Hodl it until fiat goes away entirely. Give it to your grandkids if you have to. Do not sell your freedom.
To have freedom, people must store their bitcoins in non custodial wallets, not in custodial wallets, not in online platforms.

Better to store their bitcoin in open source (not close source) non custodial wallets.

Reminder: do not keep your money in online accounts

Exactly, it's the custodial wallets that will be our downfall. Just do self-custody and get cold storage wallets!

Also,

I missed reading this kind of stuffs from 2017

You are referring to "the good old days" like so many veterans say on here, yes?
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Don't forget to HODL your BTC on: June 01, 2024, 12:10:32 PM
Title.

Whales are going to start selling like last cycle.

Don't fall for the trap. Don't sell unless you absolutely have to!

Bitcoin is freedom. Do not sell your freedom. Hodl it until fiat becomes less popular than bitcoin. Give it to your grandkids if you have to. Do not sell your freedom.

EDIT: Made some changes to calm people down. 🧡

I'm so pumped to see the final version of this thread, wherein all the delicious pizzas are submitted lol.

It's going to be legendary!

I feel this is one of the more successful pizza contests, no?  Cheesy
16  Other / Meta / Re: Artificial Intelligence on the Forum on: May 31, 2024, 12:26:00 AM
Spammers and scammers are going to be top AI users, if they are not already.

It's because spammers and scammers don't realize that AI is supposed to just be a tool to augment something, not entirely replace it.

Like, Chat GPT is really good at telling you how to do something simply, or making a guide on how to start a fire. It's not going to, nor is it supposed to, start the fire for you IRL.

Idk if that's a shitty example, but yeah.
17  Other / Meta / Re: Artificial Intelligence on the Forum on: May 30, 2024, 12:25:40 AM
Good meme 😂. I like it, thanks for sharing. Totally stealing it so I can send it to my friends :3.
18  Other / Meta / Re: Artificial Intelligence on the Forum on: May 29, 2024, 09:45:36 PM
a forum problem and not only a signatures problem.

It's all of those, and it's a problem across every social network that exists right now. Would you agree?

I mean come on, there's fake shit everywhere! XD

It's like how they teach us about "Dark matter". Apparently 99% of the universe is shit we cant see called "Dark matter".

Yeah?

Well 99% of the internet feels fake right now. Fake accounts, fake likes, fake views...

How is the data anyone selling to each other even reliable LOL? Nothing's real.
