2  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin Na For All: But can the 63% Wallowing in Poverty invest in bitcoin? on: October 08, 2024, 07:36:31 AM
For sure they say Bitcoin is for everyone but I don't believe it, just as you highlighted here that average Nigerians can't afford 1 dollar when it was just #366 and now 1 dollar is approaching #1600 so how are they going to cope with it what I even see here is decrease of members who previously partake in Bitcoin because things are getting cost but salaries are not being added so alot of people are going to pause.
63% of poor people wallowing in poverty is a very bad record for a country like Nigeria, Giant of Africa precisely even mining and other crypto currencies will see alot of inconsistency because everyone who find it hard to earn a dollar won't risk their belle for sub for internet sake.

Another angle to see that sentence (Bitcoin is for everyone) I think it's trying to let know that everyone wether rich or poor can follow up.

Na for u to check how ur pocket take Ballance because at any cost money matter dey involved.
It's a shame that Nigerians are wallowing in poverty inspite of our riches in mineral resources. This really affected our low interest in bitcoin investment, its only those with good knowledge of bitcoin and other sources of funding are investing in Bitcoin.  Because a man that can't afford to eat three squaremeal a day can't save or investment in bitcoin.  Bitcoin investment is a long term holding. So it's only those that have enough money to spare some for investment can send the test of time in bitcoin.  Even if the awareness of bitcoin is all round in the country we still have Low percent of investors not because they don't want to invest in bitcoin but no funds to spare for it. Everyone is just eat from hand to mouth.  Bitcoin is a desire for everyone but not for everyone.
3  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Protect your Bitcoin, no trust anybody. on: October 06, 2024, 09:01:01 PM
We've had series of threads relating to the security of your crypto asset and it is the primary thing every investor should do first before talking about increasing the quantity of his Bitcoin stack or looking out to diversify his crypto holding.

As long as the matter of your asset security is concerned, thier are people and systems you shouldn't trust and they include;
1. Trusting any other person with your seed phrase
2. Trusting people too much to let them know how much of a coin you're holding.
3. Trusting the security of the asset you left in an exchange when you're a long term holding.
4. And using same account you use for aidrop for storing of your asset.
If you do any of this things, it shouldn't surprise you when you wake up the next day seeing your funds all gone or walk on the street and then you're attacked and your funds all taken from you.

As long as the matter of safety and security is concerned, you're the primary custodian of your safety. Even when you want to inform the people close to you of the asset you're currently holding so in the event that something happened to you, your funds won't be useful, you are risking your life and they might facilitate the process and steal all your crypto from you.
in as much as we are trying to protect our funds in our holding wallet or whatsoever, you must have a trusted family member that you trust that can access it. In case you have emergency he or she can get funds from there to sort you out. Nothing that's not risky in life but you must learn how to trust people even if is just one person.  Because in life no one can predict. many has lost their fortune because they don't trust anybody with their finance and when they  are no more the funds will go like that.

In 2019 my service year, I invest in ETH saved it in my trust wallet. Years later I lost my phone and I couldn't access my wallet because I didn't write my secret phrase anywhere. I was so pissed up. Then i recalled I sent it to my cousin brother the very day I opened the trust wallet. I called him and he sent it back to me that's how I was able to login to my wallet. Imagine not having a trusted cousin I would have lost my money.  We have to be vigilant and apply wisdom.

I just wanted to share this story I found on social media because it teaches a great lesson as well as it serves as a thumbs up for this Bitcoin talk forum initiative.

There's also the fact that spending much time here reading and doing personal research has kept every member informed, while we stay in touch with the current trend in finance, investment, technology and new innovations.
The need to better ourselves and improve in knowledge as we read and make good comments makes us in reality more interesting to be around and it fulfills the need of self awareness and enlightenment that normal reading of novels or scientific essays would do.

A Georgia teacher who bought a $400 travel insurance policy was rewarded $10,000 because she read the fine print of the contract.

After reading to page 7, she saw a "Pays to Read" bit that said the first to email and mention the fine print contest would win $10K.

In March 2019. Donelan Andrews, a high school teacher from Georgia, won $10,000 by carefully reading the fine print of her travel insurance policy.

She found a hidden contest in the documents from Squaremouth, a Florida-based insurance company.

The contest promised the prize to the first person who emailed them after finding the phrase "Pays to read on the seventh page of the policy.

Andrews thorough approach to understanding contracts paid off when she discovered this opportunity.

Many people overlook these details, which can lead to unexpected issues.

OP thanks for this tread, I find it necessary because it serve as a wakeup call for reading culture which we lack in our society today.  Many things are going wrong in our society today because we entrust public office with people that doesn't read. Reading build good leadership.   Like the wise say if you want to hide a thing from an African man hide it in a book.  This implies that we don't take Reading seriously here. I commend the Georgia teacher this her habit is a strong message to the world.and a lot of people will now read every documents or agreement before signing them.

6  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Crypto Airdrops: the game changer on: September 17, 2024, 04:50:44 PM
The Crypto space has been gaining mass adoption through airdrops.
For a while now more and more people have gotten into crypto due to the airdrop awareness.
Omo the number of Telegram users just increased and e con be like say everybody don join Telegram and na because of this Telegram Airdrop games na em make dem join. This mining games don actually help to create crypto awareness and the number of crypto users definitely go don increase and people don learn a little about crypto through this mining games.

This is also a good time to invest in crypto if you haven’t, you can start with the Alt coins or join in the meme coin race and wait for the bull run.
It’s the right time to invest in crypto, but it’s completely wrong to invest in meme coin’s just as you said. Abeg Wetin do bitcoin wey you fit encourage people make dem invest in bitcoin, I Dey hardly tell people to invest in altcoins, but if I anybody wan put money for altcoin, then make e be strong altcoin, but make we Dey careful with meme coins, mostly investment in meme coins no Dey end well.

If anybody wan invest ahead of the coming bull run, then awi recommend make we put money for bitcoin, so that we go fit get rest of mind.
Investing against the bull run is good but I won’t advise anyone to invest in these meme coins just because they made a few bucks from mining the coin or from their airdrop. Investing in bitcoin is safer and better than investing in these new projects, they can be profitable but not safe enough, their volatility is too risky to rely on for profit. Invest in bitcoin as it is the safest cryptocurrency but if you must invest in altcoins then you should invest in big and promising coins.
No doubt this year crypto awareness is high almost every Nigerian youths knows about cryptocurrencies via the telegram mining games, I'm really glad to see people that never believed in crypto market has finally gain from it through the mining games. Have advised those around me that cares to listen, that once any mining game is listed sell and move on, don't hodl or buy more. Some of the projects won't last for a month. Infact the only stable alcoin I'll recommend for anybody is ETH and Binance the rest are trial by error.

Hence, join of the games and chop money too. No everytime bitcoin go pay you.
7  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Nigeria and her ageing refineries. on: August 30, 2024, 09:42:30 AM
Refineries in Nigeria were build in den days military administrators, these refineries were situated in Kaduna, Delta, and Rivers state respectively,. They operated with out interruption for decades during the military regimes now they are all dilapidated and are begging for resuscitation.
Our Nigerian refineries are not functioning and are left abandoned is not because Nigeria, doesn't have the resources to repair them or they don't have the resources to build new ones. The refineries are left dilapidated because people in high places wants it to be so, the people that are benefiting from fuel subsidy and importation of refined petroleum products will never allow the refineries to work. Nothing is working in the country, these sets of wicked people that have also not allowed us to have steady electricity power supply will will never be happy to see any meaningful things to work in Nigeria, because they are gaining from the dilapidations.

Dangote, refinary is an evidence that we have highly placed wicked individuals that doesn't want any refinary to function Nigeria, imagine having that magnitude of a refinary that can produce finished products that can serve the whole country but they wouldn't let it to function because they won't be able to import fuel again. The uptimal functioning of Dangote, refinary will make them not to import fuel into the country again and be getting richer so they'll rather have a country that will totally depend on importation to enrich themselves.
You rightly said it all, how can the refineries work when the president and his cabal all owns an oil wellthey use to export crude. If the refineries is functioning they won't make money so they will fight anyone trying to make a good life for Nigerians, its unfortunate we have evil and wicked men in power that doesn't care about the generations to come, they are only interested in the present and what they will steal from the National treasury. Africa leaders are all useless,  Nigeria in particular has no hope for the future generations we keep voting people who are not worthy of truth.

See how they are frustrating Dangote Refinery,  they won't let it function. Dangote is regretting making such investment in Nigeria right now. Tinubu is busy buying more oil company,  he just bought Agrip oil company. So it be hard for us to have a working Refinery in Nigeria.
8  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: How many of you Missed NOTcoin and Dogs Again? on: August 27, 2024, 06:58:26 PM
The cryptocurrency ecosystem na for try your luck. When bitcoin started many people think say na fake, and some even call am scam project which na only yahoo boys dey used. Na so NOTcoin hit telegram many Nigerians, Cash out and for dat, many wey missed NOTcoin come dey do Tapswap when im come out and the crowd was much in Nigeria. Every family in the country was tapping unless people come look say di AirDrop na scam. Though im still dey run but because of the delay to launch. Many come loss hope and stopped tapping. Along the line, Hamster Kombat come again and with their promises to launch as early as possible, and millions of people key into it and come dey tap but dem become dey delay dey launch. And normally if a AirDrop, launched a presale in exchange, the real launched would not take time again but hamster Kombat na different case. And yesterday I saw from News say dem don loss 44% participants and today now it is 47% and like dis dem dey loss participants everyday. Along the line again dogs came after hamster Kombat and finally yesterday they launched their coin in exchanges and people Cash out again. And those who Cash out, how was it?

Because of the trust I gave to hamster Kombat, I didn't follow another project and only it because I don't want to stress myself for multiple tasks. And finally I missed out NOTcoin and dogs again. Anyone here also missed out again? And those who Cash out, how was it?
omo I gained  oh but its only 6,5000 dogs which is equivalent to $8. But is better than nothing,  I didn't farm it just as u said I lost interest in it, because of Tapswap and Kombat inability to lauch their. But dogs took everyone by surprise infact I'll hold my dogs for long because it has future in the market,  it will do well.  We have cat and goat too, participate in it too, is still on and they will launch it soon, I join today sef, I'll join now, I no wan hear story.
9  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: THE TRADERS AND THE MINERS ARE BOTH SMILING on: August 19, 2024, 04:03:41 PM
In our today world, making money is easier in the crypto space, you don't really need vigorous knowledge to venture into it, all you need is elementary knowledge of it and your phone. You can start with or without money, you just have to choose whether to be a Trader or Miner.

Traders use their money to make more money just by buying potential coins and keeping it for some time. They sell off when the coin appreciates in value.  While on the other hand
The miners just like most of us now, just interact with some apps, do the task required by the devs and claim free coins daily ontill the project lunches, then sell off and enjoy the money. You pay nothing to get them, every free money in crypto is called AIRDROP.

This is where many people leverage on. There's no need sitting down to complain of no capital to start a business or looking for urgent 2k, when people make millions by just pressing their phones.
The same energy you put in social media vibes put it in whatever area of Crypto you decide to major on and make some cool cash without stress.
OP it's not as easy as you think, trading required experience and time. You can't go into trading with little knowledge about cryptocurrencies,  you must be coach well by an experienced person or a successful traders. If not you will just waste your hard earn money, because not all coin that's worth buying,  some are trap, once you invest you lose money because no future for the coin. In investment you have to buy coin that's promising if you don't have enough fund for Bitcoin buy coin that's promising.
A friend told me today that he lost over $1.2k in Crypto. And I ask him which coin did he buy , he shown me coin that's not notable no future. He never consulted widely, he just buy. In this platform we have expert that can help you to buy some promising coin. Seek knowledge before investing that's my point.
10  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Protest won't save Nigeria from bad governance on: August 07, 2024, 07:05:24 AM
It's so shameful that Nigeria has turned into a lawless country, whereby the law only favours certain caliber of people, they disobey the law, take away citizens right and go scot-free without giving account of their actions, take for example what happened in the past major protest which was the ENDSARS protest where innocent citizens carrying out peaceful protest where killed by some military personnels or is the previous election‽

I saw in one of the videos of a politician appealing to the federal government to release some members that took part in the EndSars protest, that’s about four years imprisonment now for fighting for your right in your own country. Those protesters when released can never be compelled to support or encourage themselves for a better nation when it demands them to do so. Most of them will be regretting that action now but yet again, is this the way we’ll continue? I hope a lasting solution is found soon to this country’s menace.

Quote
Even if we embark on another protest by emulating what Kenya is doing, there would be some saboteurs that would go behind to take bribe and ruin the whole process or the government would come up with anti protesters to cause a clash and then they'll declare state of emergency just to ruin the process, that's why I earlier stated that the government is two steps ahead of it's citizen, it's obvious we need a messiah but who would be that messiah? What i think is good for this country is the military regime cause democracy currently is a scam in Nigeria. Well, do you think embarking on a protest would stop bad governance in Nigeria?

You’re right OP, engaging in protest cannot stop bad governance in Nigeria and just like you’ve stated earlier before this protest began, during the protest, they were anti-protesters that where protesting against the protest, it clearly shows that the government is looking for a way to buy the people with money into believing that they’re certain people that still have trust and hope in the process of the government which is not true. The protest was later hijacked by hoodlums which turned into violent in some states and also lead to breaking and stealing from people belongings in their shops. That immediately prompt the government to bring an end to the protest by declaring curfew. It was such a bad idea on how the protest later turned out. Calling for military regime, is that the way out of this bondage again?
please  there is nothing  like hijacking of the on going protest, the people are hungry and angry they expect them to behave well on the street. when democracy fail its resulted to violent, it will interest  you is that the government did everything to stop the endbadgovernment protest by paying many youths body to stay out of the protest, so same government can do anything to stop the protest by hiring hoodlums to cause problem on the street just to tag the protest violent one.

this is Nigeria   the politicians can do anything just to justify their evil will, instead of them to listen to the demand of the people, they are trying everything to kill the protesters that are going about their constitutional right to express their dissatisfactions for the government. the protest will yield a good result, the solidarity and momentum is increasing everyday.
11  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Country Hard . Things no easy at all and it makes me very sad and unhappy on: August 07, 2024, 06:48:44 AM
Nigerians are ready to endure anything but not hunger. This hardship don reach everywhere and the street is no longer friendly. Even as people dey protest across the country because of hunger, some politicians still dey acquire luxurious cars worth millions of Naira. Very soon for this country Richman and their family go start to dey sleep with one eye open
The matter don serious oh, rich people go be a target soon. the hunger and anger is much, and the Tinubu government is not really want to listen to the people, bring back fuel subsidy and every thing will return to normal, removing subsidy was his biggest mistake without proper planning, how can he remove subsidy when there is no functionally refinery in the country. its a big shame to Nigeria as oil exporting country without any refinery, is enough reason to call for protest.

the way the hunger protest is going, it will resort to many changes in the country, if only the government of the day do the needful. and if tey fail to listen to the people, then rich people we have to be the target of the poor men on the street.
12  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: A better Nigeria on: July 29, 2024, 03:57:14 PM
Is like you no dey live for this Nigeria over how many presidents done dey talk like this, my brother you better go research well for back years and listening to waiting them dey always dey talk abeg. Because nothing we won think for this one mostly when e comes to the government issues, just forget about who enter and waiting the person go do.
The thing be say, many APC supporters been dey get hope say this current government go better, with the mindset say Tinibu the so called Jagaban of lagos follow develop the state ( so i hear) and with the way him help bring development for the state em go also extend same strategy to ensure say Nigeria go better but ThankGod say their eyes done dey clear.

With the way things dey go, I no even sure say this present government even get better plans for Nigeria, because since them come na so so problem from hike in foodstuffs to petroleum even to exchange rate,  all the people wey been they support the government during the election, I hope say them they alright lol cause eh go reach everybody.

Anybody wey believe Nigeria politicians they take better risk cause since after the Yaradua led government Nigerian government seized to be the same, they done currently corrupt the whole sector and the APC led government come even make everything worst, with fake promises and more lies coupled with the fact wey be say na looters full their party.
At this stage make nobody  they talk party here, Apc or pdp na people they inside the party, people wey bin dey Pdp Don join Apc, and Apc don join Pdp. Na just bad leaders we get for this country not party, pdp rule from the foundation of democracy,  then suppose do many things to set the country to  move  forward for years to come. But they failed too. They were sharing the money couple with corrupt elections. But that's bygone what's the way forward,  Tinubu is the worst to me, I supported him but he dey be like say him no sabi anything. Him just they collect money they share with his friends,  the money from the subsidy since his inception can't be account for. No progress, no plan it's really bad and unfortunately situation we dey.

But this country go only better if only we participate in the election and vote in good people regardless of the party.  They're good people and bad people in party. We have to  be wise when we cast our vote next time.
13  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Protest won't save Nigeria from bad governance on: July 28, 2024, 04:15:45 PM
When I go online and see people talking about protesting against bad governance and hardship, it makes me wonder if those people are actually from Nigeria, maybe they got their motivations from the ongoing protest in Kenya but they fail to realize that this is Nigeria where the government is two steps ahead of it's citizens and would do anything to crumble plots of kicking against their governance.

As them say when Democracy fail it results to violence, there is nothing wrong with protest is part of democracy but our leaders don't see it that way. They will always see protest as a threat to their government no minding the demands of the protest,  its really unfortunate for our dear nation. The Endsar protest I didn't join because it was faceless,  there was no leadership and it was violence that's why its failed. But this year own is different there is leadership and it won't be violence as Endsar, I know some youths body are already kicking against the protest,  its normal everywhere not everyone will join to change status quo of the nation,  The NANs has declined from the protest, they were bribed but that won't stop all from exercising their right to protest. In cause of the protest let's not destroy our properties,  its ours properties anything that is built by government is for our common use, so we shouldn't burn it down because of protest, that's my single advice,  OP believe it or not this protest will be successful,  the president has already addresses some of the demands but its not enough.
14  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Others might be getting things wrong but not anyone in BTT on: July 27, 2024, 03:05:46 PM
Na only Hamster Kombat nai I been dey do and I don get amount 4m per hour and when I calculate am with dollar omen I no dey do again. Upon all the stress, time and data na only dat small amount I don get. I give up di matter abeg. Me I know say na from di beginning I know say those companies dey use us dey make money online. Because the more population.they get the more money dem go dey get. And we no know and we dey plan to make big money from those airdrops but at di end na sikini money.
Sometimes you look at your effort into all these new projects from tapping one day to tapping every day and you find out that is not worth it and yes, it's not worth the stress, data, and time we put into it. I started to understand that it is the same company that paid Notcoin that has those other company and the y paid Notcoin because they have the plan to spread other projects that people would believe. one thing about these companies is that once they have more population, they have more money. Nowadays the more people you have engaging in your platform the more money you get paid and that is what is happening in all the social media we join in those projects.
They're just using people to cashout on their media space, once they achieve their goals or have more money they will abandon the project, and many hope will lost for those that real believe on their projects.  The worst thing is that you won't convince anybody to stop tapping, they will see you as enemy of progress, so you better just let them do their things, country hard everyone just dey put head to where them go see money. No doubt the energy and time wasted on these projects if well utilise on good skills it will benefit them.
15  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Others might be getting things wrong but not anyone in BTT on: July 25, 2024, 05:36:44 PM
It's ironic that people doing airdrops in those WhatsApp group don't really get what this actually means they think, it's a way FOR memefi to catch those users having multiple accounts which is far from that.
Nor let them whine you they want your personal information to run ads and make more money out of you.
If other people dey get things wrong we suppose dey different bcos knowledge wey we dey get from BTT nor be small, try dey read something for yourself before you go jump into conclusions or accept TOS wey fit do you ham.

I saw a popular airdrop (this same tapping airdrop) dey celebrate 1 million YouTube subscribers and twitter followers and immediately they monetize these social platforms and asking for engagement from their community. People begin dey like, comment and share and na money dem dey make for this projects but then no know. Some of dem dey run this kind airdrop to use grow their social accounts and sell to other projects and we just dey lose ad we dey give them community wey dem no work for. Make we dey use our head because after one particular something dun work for this industry na so copycats we go begin get and many of them no go succeed but just waste your time.

Quote
Also no matter how much you don make or person wey you know don male for airdrop nor dey blinded say Airdrop go give you money pasd learning skill o, airdrops na just to get money wey you fit spend with little Considerations and e nor go affect your actual earnings.

Airdrop na one time chopping na but skills go pay you for life as far you fit dey develop your skills and keep it up to current standards. Like this you no need to go dey learn normal mechanics if na wetin you wan do but how to dey use machine dey check cars because manual cars dey go outdated but  automatic cars na wetin dey full market. Make we value skills pass all this quick money grabbing opportunity and we no go regret am.
@brainboss, you talk better thing here, the energy pipe Don take dey do these telegram airdrop if them channel am to physical skills e for don earn dem big time, because if you calculate data money and time wasted, and the money the Airdrop go pay e no reach anything.  Learning skills is very necessary and e go dey with you for ever. I buy the idea. Me I get skill but I need add more because as naija be so one skill no go fit foot ur bills.
16  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin over dollar: U no suppose think twice on: July 25, 2024, 05:00:18 PM
The title of the thread says: Bitcoin over dollar, but I still dey naija, so why I no use: "Bitcoin over naira"?. You see, at some point, when an issue can no longer be addressed, it surely means two things, which are: [1] it's either the issue has been solved, or [2] the issue is to complicated to be solved. The devaluation of naira has become an issue that can't be addressed, just by the talk of the common masses, which is why it is best to opt for something better.

I have often heard people make choices between: earning in dollars or naira, which majority happens to choose the dollar over naira. When such comparison is been made, then it definitely means the source of dollar income is likely to come from somewhere outside the country.

But in recent times, as Bitcoin is gradually becoming part of us, I think ideology behind this choice will start changing, as people would opt for: earning in Bitcoin than to earn in dollars. I have my reasons for this which I will have to explain using a basic day-to-day calculation illustration.

Code:
A[$100/month] - [N1500/$] - [N150,000]
B[$100[btc]/month] - [N1500/$] - [≤N150,000≥]
C[N150,000/month] - [N1500/$] -[N150,000]

The example above comprises of three different people, what they earn, and assuming the exchange rate is (N1500/$). Mr A earns $100/month, which when converted gives us N150K. Mr B on the other hand earns $100 worth of btc, which when converted and maybe hodl can give us an amount greater or less than N150K. Mr C earn exactly N150K.

Code:
Petro [July] = N800/litre
Petrol [September] = N850/litre
Petrol [December] = N900/litre

The illustration above gives an explanation to the salary earners. The price of Petrol around the country is at an average of N800/litre. Aside petrol, other things like food stuffs, electronics, transportation, school fees, light bill, etc are also increasing daily. And we know say anything wey go up for wi country - no dey come down.
The salaries of both Mr A and C will devalue over time, as price of things continues to go up. This is where Bitcoin comes in. From July to December, there are chances of having higher price discovery, as Bitcoin has the potential to grow in price.

Sweet side of it
  • As time passes, Bitcoin tends to grow in value and price, unlike your naira and dollar
  • By hodling on to such income, you tend to be on a gaining side.

Opposite of the sweet side
  • The volatility of Bitcoin can put you at loss for a certain period (especially when the thing don dip).
  • It might not work well for those who leave a hand-to-mouth life. Which means - as money dey come, dem dey spend. Though, due to the volatility of Bitcoin, which can make price to change at any point (time), it can also defile this second rule which I've mentioned

This thread was not meant to address the entire problem faced by the citizens of the country, since Bitcoin neva be legal tender for wi country. I just write the thread, based on the debate most people tend to have about: chosing dollar over naira. Morever, majority of us here uses Bitcoin and dollar(in the form of stable coin). As far as I am concerned, the devaluation of naira is enough motivation to opt for something better (but, comes with greater risk).

Make God no let us use bundle of money buy pure-water one day. If Venezuela come ur mind, well, na you think go there.

Aside that, I think I am supposed to be a full member today, but not sure of how the activity stuff counts. Let's see how that goes, and congrats to me in advance.

Caution - This thread is not a financial advice. Just clearly what the Op thinks.
OP you do better analysis here as naija girl, omo this country Don really make us dey think well, see as dollar wey in those days be nothing to naira, come be giant now because of bad government for wi country. It won't be beta with our bad leaders oh.  What's bitcoin without dollar, if am to choose I go tell dem to pay me in dollar than bitcoin,  because dollar price dey better, if you get enough dollar you fit buy any bitcoin you desire, if dem pay you in bitcoin, as naij a boy you need convert to dollar before you go change to naira, so for people wey no sabi market on exchange, dem go rather get there dollar and change it locally. Dollar don be like universal currency  even for our naija, if you dey save your money I prefer it to be in dollar to avoid dip in bitcoin. Bitcoin are for investors and long time holders, make we pray make our naira get value too because the local people dey really suffer. And the only way e fit rise na if we start to produce export goods and use naira for exchange.

Then, for your full member you never get 120 activity, be patient and keep working and make quality post to promote this LB. I wish you well.
17  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: What's your view on the proposed August 1st protest? on: July 24, 2024, 10:52:57 PM
Sadly, we've gotten to the stage in our nation where without protest and forceful measures, it's almost impossible to hold our leaders accountable for the responsibility they signed up to. SARS officers killed and molested a lot of Nigerians and we made lots of pleas and yet saw no result until the "END SARS" protest, which led to a lot of killing and destruction of properties before we eventually saw a little reformation in the brutality from our uniform men.

The economic situation is getting worse by the day and maybe some of us aren't feeling it that much because we are fortunate to find ourselves in the digital sector and fortunate enough to have a good-paying job that's not influenced to a large extent by the faulty policies and negligence of our government and politicians who don't have a single plan on ground as to how to bring us out of this mess.

The proposed protest is a journey I wouldn't wish it happens considering the effect of last protest and knowing that after a lot of people have lost thier lives for what they believe was right, we're still in the same or a worse of situation and case of police brutality hasn't become a thing of the past.

Key on the demands for the June 1st protest are;
1.  Declare a state of emergency on inflation.
2. Reformation of the ministry of agriculture
3. Reduction in the salary of sanitors and other executive by 50%
4. End subsidy scam
5. Demand for provision of subsidized loans for SMEs
6. Creation of job opportunities
7. Investing in the educational sector and lots of others.

At the moment, it's still uncertain what the protest will bring to the table and how it will affect the peace and the welfare of people in our nation. A lot of youths on the street are already angry and if care is not taken, what might start as a little protest might end up growing into something big.

What's your take on this? Is the proposed protest worth or or is thier a better alternative to get our leaders to become responsible for the economic situation we're currently into?

This protest is needed and every youths body should join, we must  not keep quite and watch our nation been destroyed by old men that lacks ideas to pilot the affairs. We must take the destiny of our children into our hands, its too much, a country without blueprint we just exit no progress nothing, our past are better than today, no innovation, no good policy, we just exit like tree.

I just believe the leaders of this protest should be men of integrity. Not people the government will buy over fast, because the FG are working on  to call them for a meeting before the protest,  let them stand on their ground, and let them add removal of excess taxation on the demand. Companies are not long giving employment because of too much tax by the FG. If they reduce the tax it will be good for investors. I'm ready for the protest.
18  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Telegram records millions of new users due to Crpto mining. on: July 24, 2024, 06:23:43 PM
One thing about our country people be sae, we dey put every efforts to make good use of every opportunities wey arise so that we go benefit from them hugely before dem go cast wella.

There's nothing today wey Nigeria's go dive into wey no go soar, or you go feel the huge impact sae Nigerians are into it. That's why many companies today are longing to gain Nigeria's interest over their products cos they know sae the moment wey d get that, their products will skyrocket over and over again.

Coming to this telegram mining of a thing. Em don record a good increase into crypto adoption for Nigeria as a whole. Wey be sae, many people are beginning to have interest on how crypto mining works, that someone can get paid through it sha.

However, any good thing, there will be woro-woro inside of am. I d pity those wey go end up falling victim of scam wey go arise from this mining of a thing. Many people don do build their financial dreams up high sae them go earn big from the number of mined coins wey dem don accumulate from different mined apps. However, I no blame anyone sha, na lack of crypto knowledge cause am.

Many people just the mined because of sae them hear sae em go pay, make them mined as they can since no better paying job for the country. Peso no know where em luck go from shine. Na most people believe for the whole matter be that.
Aswear  the population of naija they give us plenty additional advantage for crypto world,  if you get brand and yih never dey sell to naija you never ready to make money, as work no dey and 80%of our population dey use smart phones we just full online they find weytin dey pay. No app you gonopen wey naija no dey top, nai make dem dey fall for scammers,  plenty times dey don use ponzi scheme scan us, we no dey still rest, if another one out now plenty go still fall victim hardship dey cause this things wey de happen,  every body wan multiply de little one dem get.

The Telegram mining na naija dey top, I support mk dem do am, some dey work some na fail project already. As you talk make dem try luck.
19  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Can't we stand up to defend our right? on: July 24, 2024, 12:57:47 PM
Where you right stop na wey somewhere else right begins. In defending our right let's be caution. Speaking your mind or protesting against bad governance is a right of every citizens but you must do it peacefully with a good reason. Just like the endsar protest was a good initiative but lack coordination and it became violence, such demonstration is not a good way to demand for justice. We know government are evil and they control the security so you must use your head when making demands, do it rightly, no one is stopping you from demanding your right.

I understand wetin you talk oh but when you talk about protesting in peace for this country I no think say e go bring anything positive becos to the government them go think say we no serious and the amount at which we the citizens dey unserious about things for the country even for the social media self go give them that impression say we no ready for wetin we want. I think na too much force we need to take wetin be our own which is our right. EndSars na example as you talk but the support no too dey to strengthen the motion, e for work out oh but when government see wetin them go lose nai the mass killings come into play. Wetin I want make you get be say anything wey be peaceful protest e no dey ever move our government to do something wey go favor us but if we get like international help I believe say we go freely do am and get our goal becos the government dey fear those away piple.
Peaceful protest wey I talk here be say make dem no destroy properties or stop people wey no gree join from their daily work. E get as dem go coordinate the protest wey de international human rights to back am up, no to dey destroy government properties to register your displeasure no international body go back such protest, and mk face dey the protest you no go demand weytin government need pass through constitution to achieve am, demand for immediate solutions like improvements in our health centres, increase in eduction budget to 20%. Subsidy removal and price control, urgent rehabilitation of the four refineries for job creations  and many sensible things. Government will respond quickly to such things, and let the leaders of the protest be honest people not thiefs like the Endsar coordinators, till date some funds people donated to the protest are missing,  such an unfortunate act.
20  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Na misinformation, uninformation or greed on: July 24, 2024, 12:08:05 PM
My country people good morning inside this morning, today e get thing wey I wan talk about wey we they always do wey no good for us, wey at the very end, we go start to feel regret due to say we encounter serious losses.

I wan ask, if no be misinformation, uninformation or greed, wetin one make an investor wether newbies or veterans to invest heavily on alt or shit coin? When Bitcoin still dey in the market?

I just dy reason this thing since last night because one of my guy just dy complain too me last night how him invest $500 on OBX when the price been dy $0.013 since July 2022, and up till this day, the value drop to $0.0000457, and it refused to climb back, I no even bother to ask am how much remain, but I just feel sorry for am, I only tell am say in this crypto space, make him no carry knowledge and greed play, say na lack of the right knowledge or greed nai put am inside this kind of mess in the first place, so I say make I ask my fellow brother's, apart from misinformed, uninformation or greed, wetin fit make person fuck up like this, when Bitcoin still dey?
After from Bitcoin there are other altcoins that's good for investment and you will be glad you did, he messed up by not studying the market properly,  is not greedy is just unfortunate the investment turnout badly. Some of the altcoin projects are scammer but few are real but not much investors in it, so it can't grow. Before you invest I'm in any altcoin consult those head of you in cryptocurrency, they will tell which to invest in, to me if you want to invest in Altcoin ethurum should be the only option for me.
