As promised 8/23/2014 the release of Qt v.2. Just to stop all the Fud when I set my road map the dates referenced are assuming Pacific Time which is currently gmt -7. So After 7 hours of sleep the new wallet has arrived Enjoy. Will make the auto install kit before too much longer. The Linux build is going to require a specialized QT env since the default apt-get packages do not include webkit with ssl support.

Wallet v1.2.0.0

A supersonic dev

The qt wallet shows version 1.0.1.4

Just seeing if it is a typo as your post (not op) shows 1.0.4.1

That is thank you, Fixing now

You know, if I were going to be nit-picky Doctor Who fan (which maybe I am) I would say the send tab should be Dematerialize, the send button either the same or "Demat", the receive should be Materialize, and the "Time Vortex" anon feature should be called the Randomizer, just to make the right references to the show.  (Although admittedly the Randomizer would only be familiar to people who've seen season 16-18 of the classic series).

But then, if I'm kind of a ridiculous level of fan of the show and have been since I was a little kid so take that as you will.  Roll Eyes

Edit: to be clear, I'm not complaining, just being an unavoidable nerd because it's Doctor Who.

TBH that is awesome. Something I missed but still awesome none the less

The reason for this is to mix the inputs between multiple outputs. This makes it harder to see where a coin is coming from and where it is going to.

A better explanation is to come with the release of the white paper

Is this just for person to person or do I have to do this also to send to an exchange?
You dont have to use it.

Ah ok so the time thing is a mixer sort of speak would of been simpler to say liek washer or mixing unit lol. Now I understand lol..

Also in regards to the POS how long does it take for coins to start generating?

PoS takes 3 days for coins to mature enough to start generating stake

THE TIME VORTEX v.1 Anonymization
Wallet v1.0.1.4

Guide to Navigating the Vortex
Rules to Remember for Safe Travel in the Vortex
  • Rule 1: For your security ask for N number of receive addresses from the party you are sending to.
  • Rule 2: Make sure amount is at least 3*N where N is number of receive addresses otherwise Funds can be lost in the Vortex.
  • Rule 3: When putting in your Pay To addresses before running through the Vortex make sure you do not have duplicates. Funds can be lost in the Vortex.
  • Rule 4: DO NOT Reuse Vortex Addresses as your funds will be lost in transit.

Follow these four rules and you shall have safe travels.
Of note, Greater Obfuscation can be achieved if one uses Coin Control to select inputs from multiple addresses.

Step 2

So any of you in IRC today would have gotten rained on as we ended The PoW Phase. At this point I need to checkpoint and build the qt's with the time vortex enabled. I will do a write up a quick draft explaining the Time Vortex with pictures in the morning. I know how everyone likes pictures.

Shortly afterwards I will release official Whitepaper explaining the Time Vortex and then move on it the QT release in time for the Dr. Who Season Premier.

LAST POW BLOCK is 21600
OP was incorrect with 20160 that was referencing the last half.
https://github.com/SonicScrew/SonicScrewdriver/blob/master/src/main.cpp#L972
https://github.com/SonicScrew/SonicScrewdriver/blob/master/src/main.h#L48

As you can see here PoW cut off was 21600. OP was updated to reflect proper amount

So how many coins will be mined in POW?

OP states 23m this is give or take however many due to PoS.

Ah, I thought it was expected that there would be considerably less pow coins.
Any upcoming plans? Sell pressure completely outweighs buy pressure at the moment.
well 20th is anon v.1
23rd is revamped qt
30th is anon v.2 though working it into the QT is proving to be a bit of a heartache.

The red is probably miners trying to ROI and move to another coin or something of the sort

Just stepping in to give yall an update. We still have a bunch of you back on version 1.0.0.1. You really need to update to the current version as the older versions are going to be getting phased out as we go on.
Next Halving at 15840 we are at block 15207 with Coin Count being 21137904. Keep in mind that final end of Proof of Work Coins will be less than originally stated due to variability of PoS blocks.
One final note remember, Staking your coins is smart. Reference
