Heh yeah was about to come in and say i figured it out. You are right, i thought about what new additions you made to the latest version, then realised you added Neoscrypt and Lyra etc. I had already manually created them, however i called it Neoscrypt, you called it Neo Scrypt. It took exception to that. Wouldnt let me delete one within MultiMiner, had to edit the xml manually. Removed my one and it did the trick, All operating.

(Not sure why id would stop me starting the miner, as I was using x11 and not Neoscrypt...)

Hmm, since upgrading to latest version, I get an Unhandled Exception error (.net) when trying to start my x11 miner.

Multiminer runs fine and shows my 3 network devices ok, but If i hit start to mine on my previously working R9 280X I get the error. (Running SGMiner 5.1 specifically setup for the 280X)

oh, might need to do:

sudo screen -r bfgminer

as its in rc.local its probably started as root user not minera

while on ssh, you need to do:

screen -r bfgminer

which will bring it to the front so you can see it in the terminal.

then, to leave it running when you finish looking at it, do:

ctrl + a, then d

this will move it back to background, otherwise if you press q it will quit.

you could run a seperate instance of BFGminer in the background on minera, as I did for my dual mining on page 66 ish of Minera thread, you put the startup command into the rc.local settings on the dashboard settings page.

Essentially it would be

screen -dmS bfgminer /var/www/minera/minera-bin/bfgminer -o <pool> -u <user> -p <pass> -S antminer:all --set-device antminer:clock=x0781 --api-listen --api-port 4030 --api-allow W:192.168.0.0/24

That will start bfgminer seperately behind the minera dashboard, with an antminer U1 at 1.8GHs, with the api set on port 4030 (so as not to interfere with the CPUMiner running on Minera) and allowing full control of the api from the 192.168.0.* network.

Obviously change the -S antminer:all --set-device antminer:clock=x0781 for settings that work for your device.

I can go into more depth here, as I am currently doing this.

For minera to show up as a network device on Multiminer, you need to be using either BFGMiner or CGMIner (or an equivalent). CPUMiner does not have the option to push the api across the network (so far as I can see, due to the lack of options available when CPUMiner is selected).

i believe the dmaxl zeus is built with only Gridseed orb and Zeusminer drivers enabled, you would have to rebuild the miner with other drivers enabled to make it work.
(Its been built that way due to issues enabling all drivers at once)

At one point I was running my Antminer U1 on the SHA instance with my orbs, so had to rebuild dmaxl zeus with Icarus drivers enabled otherwise it wouldnt detect.

I also found that if I ran a BFGMiner proxy to connect to my pool of choice, then pointed my Minera with 10x Gridseeds on it at the Proxy, i would get much lower HW errors. Probably because I left the Diff at 1.

yup that would be it, unfortunately they do run high errors on SHA256, at anything above the default 600Mhz clock.

It can be done, you need to use CGMiner Dmaxl Zeus. If you look about page 67 in the Minera thread I show how I ran both Bitcoin mining and Scrypt mining on the Gridseed orbs at the same time, on Minera.

Each one needs a unique worker name, and a random password.

Also what pool is the proxy set to mine? if its mining to a local wallet, the stratum proxy wont work.

Edit: To be more precise, each S3 needs a unique worker name and just put x as the password. You do not need to set up usernames anywhere, just make one up when you enter it into the S3.

make sure the stratum proxy is turned on in the settings, then scan hardware (shouldnt need to scan in newer versions) then righ clock the proxy device, set the coin it is to mine, then click start.
If you close MultiMiner, and reopen it, then you need to click start again.

then point all your miners to the MultiMiner box IP address and the port for stratum or http port of your proxy. Ensure any firewalls have the port set to open (eg windows firewall).

When I CGMiner run directly it says that I need to install drivers for the devices but they're already installed. It says I should be using WinUSB drivers. But if I do that then still nothing shows up in CGMiner (says incorrect drivers), and everything is no longer detected in MultiMiner, meaning at the very least BFGMiner doesn't like those drivers, so I would assume that CGMiner wouldn't either.

You need to go through the "New miner" menus, and put in the details of each one, AwesomeMiner doesnt auto detect miners for you.
