Looks like were going to continue this path down.  Will it break below $242 on this downtrend?
I don't think so, those bid walls on finex are definitely not fake, there's no option to sell through them all. Smart money waits just to buy cheap coins.

Bubble's make BTC look bad.

it scares people away, who wants to invest time/money in something that will collapse massively at a certain point.

Steady growth is best, even if it takes ages.
I don't agree that it scares people. At this moment, bitcoin is used by most people only for speculation purpose, and what will attract new investors, is another bubble. Now they're looking on a price chart and see "whoooa, if i'd buy it x years ago, i'd be rich. I cannot miss next bubble" Wink I think if price would still keep steady growing, many investors who now just looking from time-to-time on btc price, will buy it, believing that it's preparation for another bubble. And that's how another bubble will start.

Well, now i'm really confused. It seems we bounced from the upper trendline, so the price can only go down now...
Huobi chart shows it very well:

But what gives hope, are those strong, and not faked BID walls on finex. Problably someone want to buy significant amount of btcs and not bring price to the moon Smiley

Yup, btc-e has had quite a big bid wall recently.

Are they still solvent?

Is there any reason that you assume they can not be solvent?
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CLOAK] Cloakcoin | No Premine | X13 | Decentralized Market and PoSA on: August 18, 2014, 03:45:27 PM
Hi everyone, it's my first post here
I want to say what i think about current cloak situation. For me, the reason why cloak price is going down last time is very simple- its because bitcoin price is going down too, and nothing else! On exchanges like MintPal people are selling their cloaks, because they can trade it only with btc, which price is going down- so they prefer to withdraw their btcs and wait on fiats until the btc price will stabilize. Evidences? Just look at other altcoins price like DRK or LTC. On cloak dumps are greater, because this coin is very young- much younger than DRK or LTC.

My advice? Just wait until the dumps on btc will end. And don't miss the train- when btc bounce, the same will happen on cloak, so dont forget to buy cheap Smiley And ignore all the trolls posting here.

Sorry for bad english Tongue
