1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Every begginning always get though to newbie. on: November 11, 2024, 10:49:40 PM
I know many users in this forum past through the stage of newbie in their beginning, and they know how difficult it's for newbies to succeed from their beginning without experienced so much challenges of low quality post and other things in the forum, I'm speaking from experience, thankGod am getting it right gradually, it is giving me joy to continue reading some threads and post to continue improving in good post. I created this topic to encourage newbies and upcoming newbies to be aware that the beginning don't always sweet for newbies to catch up fast to begin to display like heros and legendarys.
Thank you OP for your encouragement, you talked about low quality post which is very important to know that the forum does not accept low quality post, let's also talk about low quality writing just like this post of yours. The words are not correct and it's confusing to understand, from the subject of this thread down to the main body has a lot of errors in it so I suggest you check your post carefully before posting. I agree that as newbies there will be challenges but let that challenge not be spelling error.
2  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: 3 things to know before investing in Bitcoin on: October 14, 2024, 02:48:21 PM
from this link, it is very important to know how something works before going into where as going deep into research to know the steps to take to be successful in your investment.
I have read many Posts in this forum which indicates that many people don't know what to do many business persons fail in their business cause they don't follow procedures some just venture into it cause others are making success. Recently I saw a post where the writer was asking what should he do if someone tells him they would hold him responsible for their lose if they invest in Bitcoin. Bitcoin and investment is not something to force someone into.

Today I took my time to make this research of Bitcoin investment and I found this so I decided to share.

THE HALVING AND BITCOIN MINING: 3 THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE INVESTING IN THIS EXPLOSIVE INDUSTRY.
From the subject of these thread I honestly thought I would actually see the 3 things I need to know before investing in Bitcoin listed out. Investing in Bitcoin isn't something to force anyone into, Bitcoin can be enticing especially when others are experiencing success. As a newbie one of the things I have grabbed firmly while investing in Bitcoin is to avoid monitoring the market and price especially when you are a long term HODLER.
3  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Tell Someone You Trust About Your Wallet Seed Phrase. on: October 14, 2024, 02:25:58 PM
Base on di topic, I don't know if dis topic has been discussed here but I create because I no see am. But if you know say e dey, call my attention (tap me) then I go do di necessary.

Many people don create thread say make we no dey tell people about our Bitcoin wallet seed phrase because we no know who go do is bad things. But also know dat we don't own our lives. Example, there was an active user in this Local Board, and he died before most of us came here, now assuming he didn't give or revealed his seed phrase to someone he knew and Bitcoin been dey inside and di demise happened. What do you think would happen to his Bitcoin in the wallet. Remember they are gone forever with him. So I am here to oppose di theory of not telling anyone about your seed phrase. Tell Someone you trusted, it might be a sister, father, mother or brother so that if anything happens, they can login and used coins to either pay your hospital bills when you are unconscious. How can you die when you have funds in your wallet?

In Bitcoin investment there is no place for next of kin but there is next of kin in fiat bank who can withdraw di funds in emergency.

Tell Someone u believed say e no go do anything about your coins, in most importantly your son or daughter and teach them Bitcoin investment gradually if they are still young. That go be di legacy wey u fit drop.

Tell am.
Until now I never thought about what would happen to our Bitcoin investments if anything happens to us, you actually made a strong point about the important of sharing our seed phases with someone we trust. It's crucial to ensure that our loved ones can access our funds when we are no more or probably in an emergency situation, of course we pray/hope for long life but we can't live forever. Personally the only ones I know I can give information about my Bitcoin assets are my wife and kids because they are the people I'm working for a better future for so it's only normal that I let them know what I have, even while growing up our father made sure my siblings and I knows the passcode or pin to his bank account just in case of emergency. And for the unmarried folks in the forum, I'm sure y'all have someone (a sibling preferably) that is very close to you and I suggest you let them know about your assets, you mustn't tell them everything and how much you are worth, there's a difference between telling and showing so just tell them what you want them to know and don't show them, just to keep yourself on the safe side. In all just remember that people change, Choose your loved ones/next of kin wisely.
4  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie here on: October 04, 2024, 07:49:20 AM
Hi guys.

Newbie here. Any recommended tips for using the platform
Just follow the instructions in those links provided by @_act_ and the advice of other forum users and you are good to go, as a newbie it will be hard for you to always be here but you need to know that one of the important thing that will help you navigate the forum and upgrade to another rank is "consistency" always be consistent in the forum, follow up with new threads and join only in conversations you know something about and don't hesitate to walk away from threads you have nothing to contribute or say to avoid being tagged as a shitposter, don't be in a hurry to teach others what you are not good at or what you know nothing about, don't be a teacher here just yet, you are still a newbie so act like one. Spamming and plagiarism are highly prohibited. Good luck buddy

I was thinking I'd be savaged if I did this when I first joined here too
I wouldn't blame you for thinking this way because I have seen such things happen here but I want you to know that it's very important for you to be tough skinned in order to survive here, as long as you know that you are not breaking the rules don't be afraid of criticism or being savaged to say what you want to say or ask questions about what you don't know. A popular adage my people always say is that "a closed mouth is a closed destiny" so always speak up and damn the consequences for speaking your mind. I can now see that the forum is newbie friendly now which is a good thing for us.

You're welcome to the forums mate,I also want to ask the same question but you make it more easier for me to learn below your comment section, gradually we gonna earn merit but as our senior mate says ,we shouldn't come to the forums for merit or Money,we should learn and gain more knowledge about this forum and all what we are here for  everyone is here to learn.
If you make it in life or earning money from anywhere, your knowledge is helpful for you at the place in making money. I am not saying you should come to this forum because of money, but know that knowledge can bring money. But some people do not have the knowledge and they do not want to learn. Those are the people that should know that first looking for money without knowledge will not become positive for such person. Knowledge and experience are important.
Thank you @charles-Tim for these guidelines for newbies, it's made navigating the forum a lot easier for me and like you said knowledge can bring money and that has been my biggest motivation and I'm trying hard to learn as I'm here for knowledge and then make a living out of it.

@slowPP, bro let's be realistic here. If you say you are here for the knowledge alone then you are lying to yourself, I mean yeah we all want knowledge but of what use is that knowledge if you can't make a living out of it (Bitcoin) knowledge and money should work along side each other as long as Bitcoin is involved.

Bitcoin investors learn about Bitcoin and everything that has to do with it before investing, why do you think they invest in Bitcoin, isn't it for financial freedom? Or you think they are doing it just for the knowledge?

Most of us (me inclusive) we are here for the knowledge, experience and then use our knowledge and experience to earn merits, rank up, get involve in signature campaign and earn money from our knowledge. Merits, rank up, signature campaign and earning money are my biggest motivation and these are the reason why I yearn for knowledge. Make my motivations yours too and let's grow together.
7  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: No save money inside Bitcoin for short term use because of price dip on: September 12, 2024, 10:10:20 PM
Bitcoin is one of the trusted and popular cryptocurrency among the best virtual currencies to invest in. Newbies have very little idea about investment for which they can't wait long to invest in Bitcoin and also can't follow their investment plan properly. Moreover, a new investor needs to know the market well in advance and have some knowledge about when the market volatility works. DCA should be adopted to invest in Bitcoin, but it is an easy way for an investor and here it helps him to reduce the risk. Moreover, one should not think of short term profit by investing in bitcoin, but it is best to wait for long term and hold till bitcoin market ATH. So I think if a new investor follows your advice and invests then he will surely get good profit from Bitcoin.

Bitcoin has become one of the best digital investment due to the fact that it doesn't require technical investment techniques if not for accumulation techniques such as the Dca that's practically endorsed for newbie investors who can't afford to buy the satisfied amount of bitcoin to their assets at a higher price probably due to lack of fun to buy once and for all.
The basic fact newbies need to understand is that the market can't be controlled by emotional sentiments neither expected to actualize a quick goal but as a digital investment that grants your assets safe and maintaining potential increase of values despites its volatility unlike other cryptocurrencies or related digital trading that its volatility is extremely high with potential values to total lost. Perhaps, bitcoin isn't an investment technology for the greeds and impatient because investors could be panic to sell at lost due FOMO to a situation of market Dips but if patient and holds longer, definitely would sell at great profits because after a bear come the bull market events.

Even as a new investor in Bitcoin I won't even think of going for short term investment strategy because during my research I have seen that short term investment in Bitcoin is more risky. High risk and high reward but the reward part doesn't come easy because the investor stand a chance of losing both the profit and capital in the twinkle of an eye and except other coins, investing in Bitcoin should always be in a long term investment plan for better benefits, I adopted DCA the moment I made up my mind to invest in Bitcoin and it has been working for me.

15k push-ups done.

Wow, I completed a total of 15k push ups. I never thought my total of 15k push ups would be complete. It took me 147 days to do 15k push ups. Many people here have been doing push ups for more than 200 days, I will also complete 200 days at some point. However, I will not give up and continue. I did 100 push ups on August 28th and 100 push ups on August 29th.

My new report:
100k,Bd officer,147,15050,2024-08-30

Huge congratulations on completing 15k push ups. That's an incredible achievement. I did a total of 150 push ups today, because as long as this push ups challenge is concerned consistency is the key.

I feel so good today after achieving 150 push ups in 3 sets average of 50 push ups per sets. Indeed this thread is amazing place, and I'm happy to be a part of it.

13  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge on: August 28, 2024, 11:30:14 PM
today did 100 push-ups today, 25 push-ups in 4 sets.

My today's report:
BTC100K, Ricardo11,93, 5900, 2024-08-28BTC
Your report is not correct at all for there are spaces in your push-up report of which those spaces are not meant to be so you should try as much as possible to edit it so that your current push-up record will be updated in the push-up table because with the way it is DirtyKeyboard script won't be able to pick it up. There is a space after 100k before your username and also after your days of push-up there is also a space same thing too after your total push-up done.

As of a few days ago, there is more tolerance/acceptance of spaces within DirtyKeyboard's script.  Go figure!!!

FORMAT UPDATE:
New Rule:  New Reported pushups must also be greater than the Latest Reported pushups for the report to be accepted.  (Previously only checked for a greater number of Days In)

New Relaxation:  1 space is allowed after any or all commas in your report if you choose.  (Previously spaces were only allowed within User Names)
You are absolutely right @JayJuanGee it seems like Zackz5000 didn't go through the new (Format Update) that was given by DirytyKeyboard script few days ago very well before making corrections about the spacing. However, I did a total of 500 push ups in 5 days average of 100 push ups per day.

My newest report:

14  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: What to do with 1 BTC as a Nigerian on: August 26, 2024, 05:19:34 PM
Op wetin I go use 1btc as a Nigerian do depend on the kind of life wey I dey Live now. If I'm poor and struggling to survive I will definitely sell and improve my life to suit me, then I will invest in landed properties, invest in my country by opening a company regardless of its situation (it could be satchet water factory) at least it will help take a few youths off the street and lastly I will invest in Bitcoin through the DIP.

But if I'm rice or an average Nigerian that can afford things for myself and everyone around me then I will continue to hold on to my 1btc till the Bull comes because I know I will make more profit during the bull run.
15  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: How can crypto impact agricultural financing? on: August 26, 2024, 04:56:51 PM

I always wonder how cryptocurrencies can be applied in community funding for Agricultural Financing and to curb insecurity in agriculture. Initiatives such as collective funding, rotating savings and credit associations as well as agricultural cooperatives?
Initially I would have said that crypto has nothing to do with agriculture and just like @nelson4lov said that "crypto wasn't made to be used for funding initiatives" as it's primary Purpose is to serve as a decentralized digital Currency. However, over time the crypto space has evolved and it's now possible to use crypto for fundraising. So the only way I know crypto can help impact agriculture is By fundraising and donations as it will empower farmers with limited resources, promote sustainable agriculture And build a more food secure future.

I did different types of upper body workout, which helped me to achieve a good upper body, I would have loved to post my picture but dou to the fact that newbie is not allowed to post a picture that's why.

18  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: crypto vs content creation, which is more profitable? on: August 15, 2024, 09:52:27 PM
Since most youths have seen that social media skit makers are cashing out big and living expensive lifestyles, we've noticed a majority of youths creating content up and down some of which are too irrelevant and contribute nothing to the viewers. They just want to get paid and since they want to get the required views and followers before their account is monetized, they are willing to go to any extent just to look for views including showing nudity and spreading false and unverified news just to attract their audience. In the end, some of them luckily get their accounts monetized and earn from it pulling up more crowds into the sector as though it's the only source of wealth in the digital space.

For us at this end, we know that ours isn't as loud as that of content creators and most of us normally enjoy doing things on the low key to avoid too much attention from our financial agencies since it appears as though they have a thing against us. For the traders, we know the risk involved and that it could get too good at some point or get bad at some other time, and then for the long-term investor, we know that our return doesn't come within a short space of time compared to most verified content creators that are currently earning from their page.

Which is more profitable? Content creators or crypto traders/investors.
The internet has revolutionized the way youths live, learn and interact, offering numerous benefits such as earning through content creation. The current trends of the youths flocking to social media content creation in hopes of achieving financial success has become a norm, it's true that content creators have been receiving significant financial rewards but let's also acknowledge the efforts, dedication and luck in achieving such success. Just like @samlucky o said, Grace.

On the other hand crypto trading and investment requires a different set of skills, knowledge and risk tolerance. Both paths have their unique benefits and setbacks so we should be able to know were our passion and interest lies and follow that path. I would say that content creation is more profitable but it's too much work to handle, a content creators could be a low-key crypto investor and still make profit adding to the one they make in content creation but an investor can't do both. The only problem that content creators have and crypto investors doesn't have is, in content creation you put your privacy, your life, your self-esteem on the line but in crypto investment it's all about privacy.

20  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: How long have you been into cryptocurrency and what have you learnt? on: August 15, 2024, 04:53:12 PM
Happy weekend everyone. So this question da important because most people da enter crypto now with the wrong mindset like say na get rich which scheme. So maybe this one go help one or two new people. For me I don da crypto for 2 years now..and first thing I learn be say you go read book tire. E be like school. No be for lazy people ahaha. Secondly no need to rush and remove fear for your mind..  make we hear una stories..
I've been into crypto for over a year now And I don't have any dramatic or failure stories to share for now but I've seen close friends of mine talk about their experiences so for me it's been a journey of learning and growth basically.

The most important lesson that I have learnt has been the importance of patience and education as I have seen so far, I've spent countless hours reading and learning about the market And it's helped me make informed decisions. I've also learned to set realistic expectations and not get caught up in the hype, we all know that crypto is unpredictable and it's essential to be always prepared for it's ups and downs, I'm still learning and growing and I'm excited about my research and findings especially doing some of the research on my own.
