Well you can also run the odds, and realise you can actually not win. The point here is that it's a game so you have to play

Just bought an Antminer U3. Cannot get it to run more than 30 seconds before the hash rate drops from 45Gh to about 6Gh. I'm using the latest build, as it seems to be the only one that works with it. my batch file is this: cgminer -o http://us-east01.miningrigrentals.com:3333 -u -p --icarus-timing=short --anu-freq 200 I change any of that and CGminer doesn't even open. I've tried using the basic bmsc lines that were in the user manual, but still nothing works. What am I doing wrong here Pretend I'm 5 when explaining.

Thanks for the update .
As far as ideas , do you think it is possible to tie a registered gun owner database to the blockchain ? You could instantly transfer gun ownership at a gun show or private transaction and you would own the private key to the registered serial number on the gun. The ownership database would be public info on the blockchain that anyone could look at. I remember reading somewhere that there is a certain amount of information you can add inside of the blockchain and that would be enough for a gun serial number I think. This could also be an effective way to curb sales of stolen guns because if you cant show that you are the owner of the private key that is registered to that serial number then the gun is not yours. You could market Guncoin this way as a way to track and publicly register gun ownership on the blockchain.
You must not be from the US.... We don't have a registered firearms owners database. The only national thing we have here is NICS (national instant check system) and that system is run by the FBI, and only shows weather or not a person who is trying to buy a gun from a federally licensed dealer (FFL holder) is a prohibited person or not (aka a convicted felon). We don't register our guns here. Face to face transfers between two private people don't require a Form 4473 to be filled out (unless you're from the communist state of New York. Sorry 315er . State laws do vary, but bans on FTF transfers are hardly enforceable (though ATF agents DO try every once in a while and they ALWAYS say that they're a felon to see if you'll go through with the deal. It's pretty fucking obvious.).

So if I want to mine at the block factory, I need to donate to them?
Also, setting up a config file for minerD, whats the command line look like for neoscrypt? Is it the same as for regular old scrypt? I have this set up for TBF:
minerd.exe -o stratum+tcp://stratum.gun.theblocksfactory.com:3330 -u -p
Edit: and also, pretty much all of the pools in the OP are toast.

Several of us have requested it already. Well, apparently they finally got enough requests to pay attention, and it is now up for vote!! Vote early and vote often. Or somebody mine a bunch of that DOT coin, whatever that is... Hahaha Dot is the old KimDotCoin. It was named after the guy created Kim.com. There was talks of coin devs being backed by Kim himself, but he instead ended up backing a Chinese scam coin. The Dot devs told him to fuck off as a result, and I believe they are the ones that actually created Cryptopia as well. I know one of the chief backers of Dot personally, and he was pretty crushed about the whole kim thing. Oh well.

My condolences to everyone in NY about your governor. Yeah thanks, we're in mourning for 4 more years.. WTF is wrong with this picture? Yes, 16 counties, mostly rural with high republican counts won for the democrats, when 46 counties were won by the republicans, and lost. Not to mention, in the pic shown, "Wayne county" was won by Cuomo when, the results show different!! Yup, the fix is in..... Out of 10 million voters, only 3 million and change voted. Not enough repubs got out and voted.
