there is no way to have 2 Ryzen 9 5950x mining on the same rig?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Creating a dual ryzen 9 5950x cpu miner for randomx on: August 21, 2024, 02:59:24 PM
Hey everyone,

I'm planning to set up a mining rig with dual Ryzen 9 5950X CPUs and I'm looking for advice on the best way to approach this. My main goals are to maximize efficiency and ensure stability over the long term. Here are a few specific questions I have:

1. **Motherboard Recommendations:** Which motherboard would you suggest that supports dual Ryzen 9 5950X CPUs? I'm particularly interested in something that can handle the power and cooling requirements.

2. **Cooling Solutions:** What cooling setup would be optimal for this rig? I want to avoid overheating issues, especially since I'll be running it 24/7.

3. **Power Supply Unit (PSU):** What PSU capacity would you recommend for such a setup to ensure smooth and reliable operation?

4. **Mining Software:** Which software works best with Ryzen CPUs for mining? Are there any specific optimizations I should be aware of?

5. **General Tips:** Any other tips or considerations that might help me avoid common pitfalls?

Thanks in advance for your help!
3  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Is It Still Possible to Mine BTC with a Modern GPU/CPU in 2024? on: August 21, 2024, 01:41:42 AM
hey phil, what would be a good number for (BTC/EH/day), Limit (EH/s), Amount (BTC), amounts to set for that pool. I understand the minimum is 0.001 BTC. Can you explain what you would do if it was you renting? how much would you risk for what kind of reward??

by default they set them to this:

Price (BTC/EH/day) 0.0209
Limit (EH/s) 0.05
Amount (BTC) 0.001

Thank you for the comprehensive response. I have been researching the topic, but I'm still getting accustomed to the platform's navigation, so I apologize for any duplicate questions. I was curious if there might be a scenario similar to a lottery, perhaps akin to running a Key Hunt for BTC puzzle #66 or #130 (as seen here: "https://privatekeys.pw/puzzles/bitcoin-puzzle-tx"). While I understand that the odds for something like the senior puzzle are astronomical—around one in 36 quadrillion—I thought this community might be aware of any opportunities or similar challenges but for mining. I am used to working with rainbow-miner, but the best they can offer is the same as nice hash it seems. Thanks again.

Hello everyone,
I’m an aspiring Web3 developer currently exploring different ways to break into the blockchain and cryptocurrency space. As part of my journey, I’m curious about the feasibility of mining Bitcoin using modern GPUs or CPUs in 2024.

I know that ASICs have dominated BTC mining for years, but I wonder if there’s any scenario where a regular GPU or CPU setup could still be viable for mining, perhaps as a hobby or in a unique situation.

Beyond mining, I’m also looking for advice on how to generate income through crypto or Web3 projects in today’s environment. Whether it’s through development, DeFi, NFTs, or something else, I’m eager to learn from those who have experience in the industry. What are the best opportunities out there right now for someone like me? What should I focus on as I build my skills and portfolio? I appreciate any insights or guidance you can provide. Thanks in advance for your help!

Best, anyonmus11
