1  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Neglecting one's Duties on: September 29, 2025, 07:17:10 AM
Nigeria is a country where law is only made for the weak, less connected ones and the poor masses who where supposed to be protected by the law instead they are been persecuted by the said law, if not for the fact that those trucks where owned by the so call billionaire of the country and drivers believe nothing can be done to them if such incident occurs do you think they will involve themselves in reckless driving that lead to the lost of innocent souls?

As for the law enforcement agencies in the country like police are now Nigeria billionaires force and no longer Nigeria police force because there duties now is to protect the wickedness of the rich instead of protecting life's and properties from all their actions.  Before when there was law in the country most of this incidents where controlled, traffic laws obeyed by every one in the country but now in as much you have the money to bribe them you are fully covered.
you are very correct, nigeria has taken another shape, we have turn something else completely. Almost all of our law enforcement agencies are now operating based on instructions and directive given to them by our currupt billionaires,  our  Nigeria law has now be design to affect only the poor and the rich is now above it because even when they go contraly to the law nobody will be there to question them or make them paid.

In resent time series of truck incidents has been a daily routine and poor citizen has always been the victim without any reasonable compensation to the family, the only thing is for us to seek God's protection that we didn't fall victim.
2  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: If You Die Tomorrow, Who Gets Your Bitcoin? on: September 28, 2025, 02:57:59 PM
Most Nigerians are used to passing down land, houses, or even businesses to their children as a form of inheritance. But Bitcoin has changed the way many of us save and store value. One question that doesn’t get talked about enough is this: if something happens to you tomorrow, how will your family access your Bitcoin?

Unlike a bank account where next-of-kin can be contacted, Bitcoin depends fully on whether your loved ones know your private keys, seed phrase, or wallet details. Some people don’t want to share their keys for security reasons, but at the same time, keeping it secret could mean their family never benefits from their hard work.

So how are Nigerians handling this? Do you trust your spouse, siblings, or children with your private keys now? Or do you have a system in place for them to access your Bitcoin later? Is there even a safe way to do this in our environment where scams and mistrust are common?

I’d like to hear different views, what’s your personal plan for Bitcoin inheritance in Nigeria?
Similar topic like this has been raised in this forum and i believe several replies and responses was made on  that effect, instead of raising a new topic on it why not make continuity to avoid flooding the thread with series of similar topics.

Havent said that, in as much as we are having trust issues in our society it's still important that you have a successor, someone that can have access to your asset when you are no more, bitcoin investment is an investment that demands long-term holdings before you can be able to have the full potentials in it and dead you see is inevitable, nobody knows the next seconds what is going to happen so it is fundamental as an investor to pick up a trusted family's member, either your children, brother etc because it will be too painful if nobody can be able to access your asset ( funds) when you are gone.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is prevention better than cure? on: September 28, 2025, 06:18:42 AM
prevention is always better than cure, most people are aware of what they are addicted to, whether it runs in their family, or they have an addictive personality, staying away from gambling is actually the best choice for them. Addiction doesn't happen instantly, but it often starts little by little and it expands to what you can't control any longer, it's all about self awareness. Avoiding something that can potentially harm you is not fear it’s wisdom. Once addiction sets in, recovery becomes a long, painful journey with financial, emotional, and sometimes even social consequences. So to me I would actually say yes, for many who know their addiction not to start gambling at all is actually a wise decision.
Yes that's true, it is better you stay off if you know you can't control it, one thing I am certain about it is that once you go  through the right way and still maintain that initial and rightful state of mind about gambling I doubt if you will ever have any issues in gambling, gambling is just a game of fun and entertainment but if been seen and approached the other way round (source of income) then that's becomes your problem, however haven't known all this about it and know you can't comprehend when it addiction will come then it just better you stay off to avoid issues.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling all about profit. on: September 28, 2025, 05:48:03 AM
I got confused and started thinking if really I was the cause of what happened. I want to ask how many of you here have been blamed for someone else losses.

If you were in my shoes how will you feel.
That your friend  is more of a comedian because he sounds and act very funny, how will he even come up with such ideas, are you his problem? He should go and sought out is problem because you are definitely not, you owe him no explanation or whatever, his problem is addiction and he should go and fix it.

Assuming you even give him the money he demanded for at the initial point what you would have later heard is stories upon stories, that's what they are out for always looking for who to blame instead of facing their real life challenges which is gambling addiction.

7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Internet search about Bitcoin can be misleading for beginners at times on: September 27, 2025, 02:08:59 PM
Not every information seen on the internet or Google space is true, most of them are false especially when it concerns bitcoin matter, or have you forgetting that information displayed on the Google search engine didn't just fell from heaven but was written by human beings, who knows if the writer is not an enthusiast of bitcoin.  Let be aware of the fact that not everyone is happy with bitcoin existence especially the corrupt leaders because of it decentralized features, making currupted leaders to be unable to carry out their dirty activities.

Furthermore, so am not surprised because anything can happen just for them to pull it down which is almost impossible, bitcoin is the solution we have be seeking for and any other blackmail about it is bullshit.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What reasons can have you switch intentions while on the casino on: September 27, 2025, 06:43:03 AM
My question is what do you think are the reasons people who come to the casino with an earlier intention have a switch to a different one? maybe as it's applicable to you and how well did it end for you?
Greed is the brain of it all, greed has a way of switching once mind or intention automatically within a tinkle of an eye. I know of many folks around my area that has sink deep in addiction because of greed, at first it was fun all the way but am still in shock how the whole thing just pum up, their is no single day this my guy will not stakes off his last card just to make sure he take home with something which is bad. Gambling shouldn't be a do or die affair the more you chase it with so much aggression the more it becomes toxic or even makes you become more addicted to it.

Quote
Finally, what would you propose as a solution to help weak-willed gamblers maintain their motive on the casino without deviating situationally?
It is cool for us sticking to the initial plan, we shouldn't deviate thus we attract issues to our self.

Secondly, we should do away from greed because greed is the only factor that can compel any gambler to go beyond his or her limits. However Ballers shouldn't be carried away by initial winnings because that's just like a teaser to keep you coming for more if you're careful.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you gamble? on: September 27, 2025, 03:26:20 AM
I think it's just your assumption to think that people who say they are gambling for fun. The truth is that there are people who truly gamble for fun but while they are gambling for fun and money comes along the line, they won't reject it, they will take it. That you are gambling for fun doesn't mean that you will be losing all the time that you gamble. Your figure for those that you think are gambling for money is too high.
You are very correct sir but in-as-much  as their are still some few folks that truly gamble for fun, majority of the players you see today do it for survival perhaps  seeing it as a life changing opportunity and also a source of living, and this has become the main root of gambling addiction we having in our society today.

Furthermore, it's important as a gambling that you defined your real aim of gambling positively (fun purpose) so it wouldn't result issues at the end of the day.
10  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bank account suspended as a result of Bybit transaction on: September 27, 2025, 02:53:18 AM
Alot has really gone wrong lately on bybit P2P trading platform, scammers has taking over the whole place leaving us with fear while carrying out our daily transactions. I don't think this case stated by the op is been related to any cryptocurrency related transactions indicated at the remark aspect of the transaction but I think the funds in which the buyer used in purchasing the coin is been investigated due to fraud related activities or whatever, so it obvious that luck and God's protection is also needed in our daily transactions because being careful alone can't save the situation because you never can tell were the whole saga will  pop out from.
11  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Small Drops of Satoshis can Grow into an Ocean of Bitcoin on: September 26, 2025, 03:08:42 PM
Op amazing topic you have right here, that's the major challenges we are having today, many that are surpose to have gone far in stacking more of bitcoin in their portfolio and doing pretty well by now in their various investments plan but out of fear of not having much, you don't know bitcoin is for the rich! all those negative thoughts keeps on running through their mind and killing the gods or courage they would have use in reaching their dreams, little do they know that with the little earnings from either their weekly or monthly hustle can secure them a bitcoin investment that can change their entire life.

Furthermore, you do not need the entire money in the world to invest in bitcoin, and also it is not a must that you must be a multi millionaire or a very wealthy man before you can invest in bitcoin , with just your discretionary funds (left over cash after all expenses are been settled) you are good to go.  A market man or woman can do it, a petty trader can also invest, a monthly, weekly and daily hustler can also invest in bitcoin it all depends on how determined and committed you are.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would happen to Bitcoin’s value if all countries banned crypto exchanges ? on: September 26, 2025, 08:54:36 AM
What would happen to Bitcoin’s value if all countries banned crypto exchanges together ? Can it survive such an action ?
Bro!  Nurturing such thought about bitcoin in this present generation were technology is taking over the world is not actually a good one as a real bitcoin enthusiasts, your thoughts seems aggressive and too raw for my liking, as an enthusiast of bitcoin that we are let's channels out thoughts and ideas on how to make bitcoin stand out more among other coin instead of illustrating how it down fall will look like.

That aside, regarding your initial statement, bitcoin will still represent what it's been meant for which is a store of value but it price and potential will be significantly affected. Therefore that shouldn't be our prayer point.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction without loss of money. on: September 26, 2025, 05:26:31 AM
This is my first time hearing about addiction with and without loss of money because my thought have always been that addiction comes with loss of money which is the main reason it is bad. If I'm addicted to gambling and same gambling is earning me money, why should I even try to stop myself from being addicted? I think there should be another word for such addiction because it is sounding too positive to be called addiction.
Bro am still wondering, because the Gambling addiction that I know comes with so many negative and unacceptable impressions, we were meant to believe that gambling addiction is very bad and could be very dangerous for any gambler to adopt, have never seen or hear were a folks become addicted  to gambling without spending or losing money at the process of it, but however we learn almost everyday maybe I consider these a new thing I have learnt today.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How easy it is to be addicted to gambling? on: September 26, 2025, 05:07:12 AM
    • How do you know you are addicted to gambling
In gambling is not that difficult identifying addiction, once you keep chasing your lost constantly without looking back, you want to gamble at all cost not minding the implications or after effect it might cause you it's a clear indication that you are already addicted.

Furthermore, you go aggressively regardless anything, you want to hit a big win by all cost, all these are clear signs that you are already a strong addict and if you didn't retrace then you are gone finally.

    Quote
    • How easy it is to be addicted to gambling?
Immediately you deviate from the initial purposes of gambling which is having fun and started seeing it as a source of income then that is just the right path way that can lead you to addiction.

    Quote
    • Can an addicted gambler work himself out of that addiction without help from anyone, if yes, is it still addiction?
In most cases it is very difficult for one on his own astain from it so easily, it's mostly through a help of a friend or family members, but I think the greatest and the most easiest way an addicted gambler can get retemption is when he has learned the hard way perhaps gambling has stripped him off his life fortunes, keeping him frustrated and left with nothing then I believe at that time his eyes will now be clear that he will need no one to advice him but rather advise his own self. 15  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save successfully? on: September 25, 2025, 04:01:44 PM
Now my question is, why do a lot of people complain that saving is too hard for them?
You can only say saving money that will be later use for your future purpose is hard only when you as a person is not ready for it, because I know determination in life conquer everything.  Once your mind is made-up, you have seen every reason you need to keep money nobody will tell you, you your self will do the needful.

    Quote
Well reality hits that inflation is inevitable, but does it mean that people can only save if there is no longer inflation? Or is it that people actually adopt the wrong mindset towards saving their money?
Of a truth inflation it self has a negative way of affecting one's saving ability because when their is inflation the value of money fall automatically, if for instance you have been earning the some of $50 in a week to manage with your family then after sorting out all necessary bills and expenses you still have some left over cash that you may likely want to keep as your savings, but inflation can depreciate the value of that your $50 and that money might not even be enough to fix your weekly bills talk more of making savings out f it. So in ensence one's ability or chances in saving money in times of inflation is very tinny unless only the bold can make their way out of it.

17  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Must everyone invest in Bitcoin? on: September 25, 2025, 07:33:56 AM
I had a conversation with someone outside this forum and my choice of topic "Must everyone invest in Bitcoin" was his question, it's a nice question for someone that's willing to know about Bitcoin so I decided to bring it here to know the opinion of members of our Local board.

once you push a narrative that gives such people an idea that you are trying to force them into investing in bitcoin, it will give them an impression that there is something tricky about bitcoin which is why you are trying to force or speak them into investing in bitcoin. just like every other asset, it is not a must that people must invest in them. if they desires to invest, then that is good and fine but if not, then there is nothing that is wrong with their decision

One thing is this, once you know about bitcoin, you have attained the first step. you might not know it important maybe because you are still a newbie. there will come a time when you want to make certain kind of transaction and then you will understand that with bitcoin, such transaction can be done seamlessly. another instance can be that when you see bitcoin getting bullish, you now regret not investing at the time you hard an opportunity of buying at a cheap rate.

You don't force people to invest in bitcoin. you tell them what bitcoin is about and allow them make the decision regarding what they want to do with that information.

The bolded part of it is my area of concentration because talking or trying to convince someone into investing in bitcoin or any other crypto investment is actually not a good idea at all, it only makes the person in question to become more skeptical or even start feeling that their is more to it regarding how you want to force him or she into that investment, perhaps the person will start feeling or taking it to be a scam based on the initial approach been used.

Bitcoin investment is very good and it has every potential in granting any investor's a financial freedom no doubt,  it is better will allow it actions and potential speak for himself, no need for the stress of trying talking anyone into it because any folks will start thinking otherwise if that is been done.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is prevention better than cure? on: September 25, 2025, 04:00:36 AM
There are people out there who do not want to play gambling at all because they think that once they do, they will fall into addiction. Of course, we know it’s not that immediate nor easy but it makes me wonder whether there’s some truth to that. Is it better to avoid addiction in the first place by completely devoiding yourself of doing that activity instead of playing and getting addicted only to try and recover afterwards?
My brother op, this whole thing about gambling addiction all depends on your mental strength and capability, if you think you can't get hold or stay charged of your emotions when started then give way to more buoyant players but if you are mentally buoyant and well to do then you are cool.

However, it is not a most that you most gamble, gamble is game of choice if you choose having fun in that way then you are cool with it if only you can control your huge from getting addicted but if otherwise it's better you stay off at the first instant thus you learn the hard way.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many times have you said "never again" after a huge gambling loss? on: September 25, 2025, 03:40:28 AM
1)How often do you end up regretting a big loss after gambling?
Am not really an active baller (gambler) but even if I gamble at times I always do it with the little I can afford to lose so even if it didn't play in my favor I have nothing to worry about because it's already what I plan using or what I can afford losing.

    Quote
    2) Does that regret actually make you change the way you gamble, or do you just move on and keep playing?
You can only go regretting or being emotional scattered when you go aggressively or approaching with what you can't afford losing that's when you start having issues, however in my case I don't think twice because I always go with budget and nothing more.

    Quote
    3) Could it be that regret itself is part of the cycle that keeps us coming back to gamble?
It all depends on how we all sees it, so may see it as a way of reframing from their bad gambling habits or maybe see it as the main reason of quitting gambling completely, while on the other hands most dude's will make it a gate way in chasing their lost in gambling.

20  Economy / Economics / Re: without investments would there be wealthy? on: September 24, 2025, 04:47:52 PM
The process of investment is capital intensive that is why most people will have to work and raise money so that they can invest having a skill will only make you to have money so you can afford the basic needs of life and not make you wealthy there is different between someone having money to spend any actually been wealthy wealth is having control of money and resources which will only come through investments and setting up of business

The fact is without an investment the probability of anyone becoming wealthy will be low because looking at the top richest people in the world they are all investors not people that has one skill or the other you can only improve your self so that your mindset becomes renewed about investment
You are on point boss, investment is mainly the key in making life time wealth. Nobody is disputing that fact that having a skill or handwork is bad capital No but personal skills or handwork will only sort you out of your bills and other necessity of life and in most cases it can make you live a comfortable life but when we are talking about life time wealth it goes beyond having just a skills, investments upon investment need to be laid down in other to achieve that.

Furthermore, putting down investments is the key factor that can bring life time wealth.
