7  Economy / Speculation / Re: what are your thoughts on recent price drop? on: October 31, 2014, 08:08:59 PM
I'd rather the price fell so I could buy some more as I'm holding for the long-term.

Same here. No complaints from me as I have no doubt it will go up again.

Hopefuly before christmas so I can withdraw a few to pay for christmas presents  Cheesy
8  Other / Meta / Re: TIL Activity does not work on precisely 2 week intervals + interval timings on: October 31, 2014, 07:53:46 PM
Any way to quickly convert this to different time zones? Any websites which I can enter unix time as a list and it will return the time zone I specify or something similar?
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: So what do you think the price will be at the end of the year now? on: October 31, 2014, 07:47:35 PM
you underestimate the amount of bored millionaires with more money than they know what to do with.

This is probably the best oppurtunity for someone with a lot of money who wants to make even more....but its got to be quite a large investment to shift the price upwards and there are no signs of anyone doing it at the moment.
10  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if Bitcoin Never increases in "Value"? on: October 31, 2014, 07:41:32 PM
What if? Well a lot of people will lose some money but a lot of people will be disappointed that this revoultionay system didn't work.

Useful for determining when an account has been sold too.

Yes , but when an account has changed the pass  it doesn't mean that it was sold , it is also possible that it been hacked.
It is also possible that the owner has only decided to change his password.

Wouldn't you be a bit more cautious trading with an account that had this warning message? It lets you know that the account was possibly hacked or sold, allowing you to be wary of any previous trust/reputation it might have. That seems to be the use of the warning message to me.

I certainly would be but again it could just be them updating I'm sure the more tech savvy change their password quite frequently.

All of that possible but most people selling accounts specify something like post account & rank so you can observe this page to see if you could get possible accounts but it could be inaccurate I guess.

15  Economy / Speculation / Re: So what do you think the price will be at the end of the year now? on: October 31, 2014, 06:50:43 PM

someone comes right now and throws an 11mil USD buy at bitstamp right now and we are back to 1000.

Unlikely that will happen though.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people price things in fiat but want BTC - choose one or the other on: August 25, 2014, 04:30:37 PM
It's just easier for the time being until Bitcoin becomes more popular then I should think people will use just BTC as a label for price and not fiat.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How easy it is to KILL bitcoin. on: August 25, 2014, 04:22:09 PM
Couldn't someone wealthy enough just buy out all the Bitcoins owned at the moment? it would be something like 2+ billion but the government certainly owns that amount and would probably be willing to destroy Bitcoin.

19  Other / Meta / Re: How do you report a member? on: August 25, 2014, 04:04:47 PM
The easiest thing to do would be just to report the actual spam post(s) and state your reason for doing so, but you could also just PM a mod if you wanted, but reporting the posts should suffice.

Cool thanks looks like the member has already been dealt with now spamming a few things over and over in different places.
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How is a newbie to get a bitcoin? on: August 25, 2014, 03:57:25 PM
Offer services such as programming mining is only for the elite now and the wealthy.
