Do you have a resource for this or is it speculation? I am sincerely curious as I do not understand why they would not have a miner in hand. It is obvious they have the talent, either have or can get the money, and anything else needed.

Found the problem

just a note on what I see as an issue from spondoolies point of view is if they PAID Doggie say...the amount owed..they would have to pay a LOT of folk on this (not as much but still others would have $$$ coming say for a couple miners promoted under that old plan) .. they also would have to pay or compensate all the folk that had $$$ off coupons and/or $$$ off new equipment in the future maybe....in that they do not have new equip ...those folk have coupons worth 100's dollars off etc ...at this point in time they can't use..so anyway if Doggie wins ..it could be some real money to others..because a lot of people if my memory is right had discounts off the next miner product and such stuff of a similar manner above

anyway what I think I remember about all of the above

on Guy's behalf however I was refunded promptly (from forums I did not ask he pm'd me) 6.3k on some equip/hosting plan I likely could have ROI'd on...but had over done it with a 100 amp
service and 1 titan in the mix and was gonna have to host it and mentioned that this was probably not my 'wisest' move  in the forum post) anyway he pm'd me ..and without me asking ..said he'd refund the order (was a roadkill group order) if I needed to and was jam'd up....I was shocked and pleased he took the time to do so

anyway again the above is just what I think I remember and my view...I have no D...er won't go there ..I have no sides on this...just my experience with Guy and Spondoolies

I guess this is why they have lawyers and courts ...it will get resolved in some manner now I guess one way or the other

back to our continued lack of info on equipment from spondoolies and rabid speculation thread ...that we do so well... Smiley

Bitcoin Home Mining is Dead... Incase you didn't get the Memo.

My take on the latest press release:

  • They generated ~1800btc last calendar year = very roughly $700k
  • They have approximately $400k of hardware @0.2$/GH
  • This hardware is generating $3500 a day at a cost of $1300 a day
  • They're paying an investment banking firm to help them uplist their broke ass company to a major exchange (xD)
  • They expect to mine just 600 bitcoins in 16Q1
  • They can no longer claim 1700% growth from nearly nothing to > nearly nothing

Quote
ARLINGTON, VA--(Marketwired - Jan 12, 2016) - BTCS Inc. (OTCQB: BTCS) ("BTCS" or the "Company"), a blockchain technology focused company which secures the blockchain through its transaction verification services business, generated 1,797 bitcoins for the year ended December 31, 2015 from its transaction verification services, an increase of 3,389% over total bitcoins earned in 2014.

"While we are pleased to report significant percentage growth in bitcoins earned during 2015, the real story of our success over the past year is the strong foundation we built for our business moving forward," stated Charles Allen, CEO of BTCS. "Our refined operational focus on blockchain technologies has led to a rapid build-out of capacity at our North Carolina facility, and with our definitive merger with Spondoolies-Tech Ltd. now in place, we are well-positioned for continued growth in 2016."

The Company's recently completed round of financing has enabled it to grow its transaction verification business to approximately 1800 TH/s, an increase of more than 100% compared to the 891 TH/s in place through most of 2015. Operating at the increased hash rate the Company will use approximately 0.95 megawatts ("mw") of its 3mw capacity.

Allen continued, "With the transaction verification servers we are running today, we believe we are on track to generate over 600 bitcoins in the first quarter of 2016. The remaining unused capacity we have in place provides ample room for planned growth with minimal added expense as we pursue a substantial financing with the goal of uplisting to a major exchange."

The Company engaged Chardan Capital Markets, LLC, a privately held investment banking firm with a focus on small-cap and mid-cap markets, to advise the Company on potential transactions that could lead to an up listing on a major exchange.

The additional capital expected to be raised from a future offering will enable BTCS to further capitalize on the significant opportunity within the growing blockchain technology space. Recently heralded in a cover story in The Economist for its potential to "transform how the economy works," blockchain technologies are forecasted to impact nearly every industry that relies on safe and secure transactions.

You missed something Doggie  " transaction verification business to approximately 1800 TH/s, an increase of more than 100% compared to the 891 TH/s in place through most of 2015 "

First off GW is right here.
People Hate what they Don't understand. What People don't understand they Fear.

" People Understand what they Hate it "
You all know at 110 th/s a machine at 28nm tech will cause more of a Network hash rate spike the miner you buy now and have will be useless in 6 to 7 months because the next get 16nm tech will be 200 to 300th per miner maybe even 500th per miner.

" People Fear what they Hate "
You Fear this because it leave you out in the Cold. News Flash everyone " Home mining is DEAD. "

Sorry guys I don't see it. BTCS has done a lot of work this past year as seen from YouTube. Unless you guys know something I don't.
14  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: November 07, 2015, 08:05:32 PM

And what about SP50? When this product will be produced?

It's already mining I bet,not that we'll ever know. That's a secret BTCS & SPTech will keep as long as possible  Grin

I do not think they are quite there yet. In a presentation on 22nd October Charles Allen only talked in the future tense about deployment of the SP50.

I've been mining with SP Tech equipment since the SP10 rolled out.  Though BTCS/Spondoolies best get the SP50's fired up soon to ever be profitable against the competition.

"BitFury derives sustainable advantage through its custom-made application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs), optimized to achieve the lowest power consumption coupled with the highest processing metrics – the parameters that drive mining margins. BitFury successfully delivered several prior generations of silicon and has a roadmap to at least double performance-per-watt every 6-12 months."

from http://news.3m.com/press-release/company/3m-novec-7100-fluid-used-worlds-largest-two-phase-immersion-cooling-project

It makes me wonder what the mining industry will look like over the next ten years.  How "decentralized" will it truly be?

First off about Bitfury.

Let me get my waders on... Ok  They said awhile ago they are building a 100 M Watt Datacenter... http://www.bitcoinvox.com/article/1901/bitfury-invests-%24100m-in-a-data-center

To the normal person this sounds Good and makes them look Great. Problem is 100 M/watt is not that Easy to come by. Plus you are talking Lots and Lots of work on a scale that is Huge.
The power Company does not give you a 220v outlet you just plug up too. It is broken down by transforms Lots of them. The Wire by itself is Insane. Now on the Cooling - two-phase-immersion.
Waste of money.

On the SP50 Notice this http://www.spondoolies-tech.com/products/sp50  replaceable boards for quick maintenance and easy upgrade. Hint on the Word. Replaceable.

Bitfury says " has a roadmap to at least double performance-per-watt every 6-12 months " O'Rly  and " custom-made application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) " check out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aVPhFnkBImA   custom-made or do they fabless house. Again maybe a 1/2 and 1/2 but Full Custom every 6 - 12 months. Now onto  " double performance " So now Bitfury is saying they have a R&D as Intel has.
By the time Tape out is done on Gen 1 90 day they are working on Gen 2 and Tape out Another 90 Days That is 6 months How many PCB boards are they going to make and It is all Custom ASIC. + Custom PCB
Just a FYI here is how a ASIC/CPU is made https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-GQmtITMdas

FYI Intel at one time spent 4 Billion on R&D that was in 2003. Intel R&D now let's just say is 1/2 that 2 Billion and the I7 has been around now for how long...

little birdie says . . . between 40-43K USD . . . MOQ . . . around 15 units . . . Delivery around March 2016

I think your little Birdie is off on Price and Units and Time Frame. Just a helpful Hint.
I am sure the guys at BTCS will post a Video of them running.

BTCS stock is a Great Buy right now check out the REDCHIP.com video on BTCS

http://www.redchip.com/company/technology/BTCS/217/bitcoin

newbie with a couple of post & a "strong" supporter/pusher for btcs ... hmmmm

let's see how helpful or accurate your hint is but i'm sure my birdie is pretty spot on.

just a waiting game atm eventually the actual #'s will pop out.

from the way i see it, sp is on the losing side atm due to availability of miner, nda, unknown pricing, moq, etc etc

no doubt sp makes good miners but well again ... let's see

BTCS Great Company, SP makes the Best miners on the Face of the Earth.
As for as your comment on Newbie. Do you always underestimate others?

NDA are used so the people who "work" for BTCS keep quite.
Because they are a public company stock ticker " BTCS "
I am sure all the people who work at BTCS " transaction verification services" had to sign in blood.

But hell what do I know. Right padrino  Wink
