1  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Bitcoin mining using an Android phone on: September 28, 2025, 12:51:25 AM
I'm still have a little knowledge about Bitcoin. But I’ve been curious about Bitcoin mining, is it really possible to mine Bitcoin using an Android phone?
I have seen a several apps claiming to do this, but I am not sure how legit or profitable they are. I really appreciate any honest insights or advice from you guys. Thanks in advance.

Mining Bitcoin on an Android phone really isn’t practical. Here’s why. Bitcoin mining is like a global race where millions of very powerful, specialized computers (called ASICs) compete to solve puzzles. These machines are designed only for mining and use huge amounts of electricity. A regular phone can’t keep up it would take years to earn even a tiny fraction of Bitcoin.

Most apps that claim to mine on your phone don’t actually mine real Bitcoin. Instead, they may just simulate mining, give you small rewards in another token, or worse, overload your phone causing it to heat up, slow down, or damage the battery.

If you’re curious about Bitcoin, a much better way to start is by buying small amounts through trusted apps, earning it through work or services, or experimenting with test networks and faucets. That way, you learn more safely and actually build value, instead of risking your phone for almost nothing.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Possibility of Bitcoin replacing traditional banking on: September 27, 2025, 07:35:44 PM
Bitcoin indeed challenge the option of centralized banking, but the idea of it total replacement of banks in 15 years time seems really unlikely. Governments, the regulation system, and the need for stability will make replacement difficult.

What's more true is that Bitcoin and other digital assets may operate side by side traditional banking, while in some countries with less currencies or insufficient banking infrastructure, crypto may have a huge part to play. Though banks are now adapting with digital currencies and blockchain combination.

In addition to this, Bitcoin with its decentralized, borderless, and censorship-resistant nature. Bitcoin presents the possibility of disrupting or even replacing aspects of traditional banking. While banks rely on intermediaries and trust, Bitcoin offers a peer-to-peer system where individuals can securely store and transfer value without central control. However, regulatory, scalability, and adoption challenges remain key hurdles before it can fully rival traditional banking.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC as means of payment is a looking more possible than before? on: July 27, 2025, 01:42:48 PM
It has always been possible even now without that law being passed (yesterday news is about stablecoins anyway nothing to do with BTC).

It is about desire and willingness more than anything else. And an understanding that using it is what gives it value.

This forum shows the true colors and explains this perfectly. We can all pay each other in BTC now if we wanted. But how many posters actually engage in using BTC as payment with each other? Nothing stopping them or you Wink

Actually. The tools have always been there it’s the mindset that’s lagging. People wait for permission or perfect conditions, forgetting that Bitcoin was built to not need those. The law isn’t what makes BTC usable; our collective decision to use it does.

If we truly believe in Bitcoin’s value, we should be willing to demonstrate it through action, not just words. The fact that most still default to fiat for peer-to-peer shows how far we still are from real adoption.

BTC doesn’t need everyone but it does need someone to start walking the talk.

I believe that this message should be for people in this forum and outside the forum who understands bitcoin and is investing in bitcoin because you cannot give out what you don't have. I do discuss about bitcoin with my wife and my little boy do hear us talk about bitcoin. Currently, he knows about bitcoin but don't have the knowledge because he's still six. As he grows up to ten years and above, I can start teaching him the basic knowledge of bitcoin.

That's a solid mindset, Franklin.
Starting the conversation at home even if it's just exposure is powerful. Kids absorb more than we think, and by the time he's ready, he'll already have the curiosity and foundation. Teaching them early sets them up to make smarter financial choices in the future.
This kind of generational thinking is exactly what the Bitcoin and broader crypto movement needs. It’s not just about riding the wave of current trends, but about preparing the next generation to understand, adopt, and even innovate on top of what we’re building today.
